We don't need Faine now that we have Fowler. Faine is limited to Center and so is Fowler..Preston can play either position. We need a quality LG now..I am okay addressing LG in the 2nd or 3rd round of the draft--interior OL tend to develop quicker and adjust to the pro game speed better than OT's..so its not unrealistic to assume we can draft someone in the top 100 who can fill this slot. I am a huge Faine fan--he was a warrior at ND...but it would be a waste to spend money on him...

That's the going rate for a speed bump/matador in DC

Just award them the trophy now....good God -- they just went from a powerhouse to invincible with the Alabama Mauler on their side.

Dare I say a "Fine Young Man"

While everyone is entitled to their opinion...The Jets game that I attended in person last year..Denny had 2 sacks where he fought through double teams..the guy has some talents and has developed! He is a fine rotational DE...a high character guy...Welcome back Ryan.

Bears matched offer sheet for Idonije

So you don't want him as a rotational DE....he had almost equal stats to Kelsay last year and way better stats than Izzy.... -

Wells and Izzy should cut Marv his 3% agent fee... -
Couldn't be that he still holds a grudge from Marv cutting him...and more recently from Marv not looking at his buddy Haz for the head coach...nah couldn't be. My gosh, he would never let his personal feelings cloud his balanced, educated and unbiased opinions. Gave me a laugh--thanks PTR.... from Wikipedia just for laughs... Quote from CNN/SI - NFL Football "I wanted him to tell me face-to-face what was happening," Smerlas says. "For a while I wanted to head-butt him to death." Smerlas shrugs. "But who wants to tell a 300-pound Greek he has to go?" -Smerlas on being cut by Buffalo Bills coach Marv Levy

His position coach for the Browns now works for the Bills....Coach Zierlein Wonder if this had anything to do with the signing...

Abraham a Falcon with the help of the Broncos

Forgot about Bennett...thanks Jokeman.. -
You have to love a guy when the first line of his Scout's inc profile talks about his excellent bulk... Possesses excellent bulk, engulfs undersized defenders at the point of attack and can wear defenders down over the course of a game. Shows adequate initial quickness and rarely takes false steps. Takes good angles to blocks and generally gets into good position. Plays with a wide base and rarely gives ground to bull rushers despite the fact bends at the waist rather than the knees. Has lost some quickness with age and has problems keeping upper echelon one-gap defenders out of the backfield. No longer has great range and isn't as effective pulling and trapping. Lacks ideal agility, doesn't always play under control in space and has some problems adjusting to the moving target at the second level. While shows good awareness in pass protection needs to do a better job of sliding off original block to pick up the linebacker when combo run blocking with center. Fails to extend arms at times, tends to wear down late in games and effort appears somewhat inconsistent.

Moulds given permission to seek trade

Tip--you're carrying the chip on your shoulder for our beloved TD baby...I love it, but he's gone....people probably actually return Marv's calls.... -
Abraham a Falcon with the help of the Broncos
JoeF replied to JoeF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If they are willing to part with both the 15 and the 22nd they can have a legit shot at Cutler or Young at #8 and they can have Moulds.... We get more reasonable contracts for both an offensive and defensive lineman -

...and Bush goes to.....wow....NO? Where they are uncertain of Deuce's recovery -
Trade Broncos now hold picks 15 and 22 of the first round. Rumor is they want a QB with their pick...so....Whats the value of Moulds and the #8 for the 15, 22 Draft value chart says 8th pick is worth 1400 15th is worth 1050 22nd is worth 780 Moulds' value would be 430 which is like a mid second rounder

I agree on Miami Mad--but NE is Bethel Johnson, Deion Branch and Reeche Caldwell -- plus Ben Watson is like another WO...Moulds makes that whole group better and they need another clutch guy to go with Branch...I still think Denver outbids everyone... -

I don't know Tom--there are no difference makers left at the position with TO and Keyshawn gone...Eric is the last one. This is a smart way to go. Wait until the market is depleted and then let him seek a trade...I think we can get a 3rd rounder...especially from Denver--they have two #1's -- in fact I bet if we packaged Eric and our second we can get their later #1... -

Denver, Miami, Philly, Minny or New England will bite....all have the cap room -- all have the desire not to see him hit the open market. They get him and then re-neg...any of them work because they all have playoff potential for E Moulds... This is the beginning of the end....See ya 80--thanks for the memories... -
Clump--Said it was a wild ass guess. I have nowhere the knowledge you do of this stuff--but thought some back of the envelope math would be helpful to track.

Does anyone know if Nall was Josh Reed's
JoeF replied to buffaloboyinATL's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
At the WGR site there is an interview Nall with Jeff Morrison. He talks a bit about Reed...and their past history. He was at LSU when Josh switched from RB to Wide Receiver and has some really good comments. Also talks a bit about Royal. WGR URL --Note: its the Morrison interview -- the second one on the list--not the first one--which is also pretty good...with Howie Simon. -
Just to keep up the running tab...Nall's contract is as follows (Milwaukee Paper is the source) $1.3 M SB Base Salaries 2006 $600K 2007 $1.1M 2008 $1.25M Cap hit for 06 is $1.033M So the Bills have now spent approximately $8.6 M of an available $15. Doing nothing with Moulds--we have about $3.5 M left to keep a Rookie Pool.... We also now have over 51 players under contract which means that the lowest salary drops off the cap count every time we sign someone....

My goldfish's last action this morning was to mouth the word "Woodbury".....and I do have a goldfish--or at least I did until I introduced a piranah named Marv's Legacy into the tank...
