  1. Tempted for sure.....but I think you are going to see very few offensive side of the ball picks the next two days. We dropped from 2nd to 29th on D. Jauron and Levy will stress Defense. They believe this is the way to win. An offensive tackle in the first 3 or 4 Bills picks could be it-on the O side-but we may add a G in the later rounds just because the position is so deep. This is going to be a heavy D laden draft...with players added at just about every Defensive position...DT, LB, Safety being the priorities. I know everyone says why LB? Here's why... 1) Posey and Fletcher contract years -- and Posey not active enough 2) TKO coming off a major injury 3) Crowell and Haggan are really great depth--Stamer is okay but makes his living on ST. Bottom line -- we need to add another potential playmaker to this list for this year and the future. Also, the great thing about LB, S and CB is that they are usually the backbone of special teams so you get some immediate return even if they are not starters. Prediction... Draft will be--with a trade down--with either the Rams, Cards or Philly that nets us another top 100 pick.... 2 DT's 1 DE 2 CB' 2 LB's 1 Safety 1 OT 1 OG 1 Offense slash (like a Leon Washington--RB/RS).. I think the 5 picks in the top 100 will be a DT, DE, LB, OT and a Safety in no particular order....
  2. I can't believe my teammates suck as bad as they do....
  3. McNair is very conservative in his beliefs and values...this stuff with Bush's stepfather and mother had a lot to do with this I bet....You know the Texans dug into this all week. Kubiak was so set on this guy..something had to change his mind. Check this Out--Mario Williams is Sam Bowie Thread...
  4. Just from watching him in college..He doesn't have the initial burst of Peppers (neither does anyone else in this and nearby solar systems) but he has more strength and probably a larger set of moves right now. I don't think he will be as disruptive as Peppers but he is more stout against the run. He will be a great one but I wouldn't expect him to move into a immediate double digit sack years.
  5. Willis, JP and the #8 for the #2....hee hee.....JP goes back to his college town to be a back-up; Willis gets to play in a dome and live in warm weather; NO still gets a top 10 pick to upgrade one of the lines...and we get Reggie...hee hee ;-) No one can offer NO three first rounders for Reggie Bush...
  6. Spent most of my day in the car..listening to ESPN radio...Cowherd says.. I tried to explain watching the draft to my wife....and she came back with.....so you watch 13 hours of men evaluating other men and picking one every 15 minutes or so...hmmmmmm....I guess its an acquired taste... I feel like its Christmas eve....
  7. Just going by what their beat writer for the New Orleans T-P said on ESPN Radio today--they had narrowed the board to Brick and Williams...but Hawk would be a good fit as well.
  8. This probably makes the trade to get us back in the first round at the Bears pick...we package the pick we get in this transaction with our second and voila-- we move up....This could be really interesting....
  9. Exactly...NO will get a few offers...but if they get a high second and the 4th pick they still get who they want (Brick) and pick up a second..what a stroke of luck for NO.... HOU Mario Jets Reggie Titans Young NO Brick Pack Hawk 9ers Davis Raiders Huff Bills (Trade down with Cards or Rams--whoever wants Leinert more) Lions ? We still end up with Ngata plus probably pick up a 3rd...
  10. Next on NFL Network---NFL Extreme Home Makeover starring Reggie Bush and Family... Thoughtful questions for Marc Ross....jeeeesh...
  11. Ribbet ribbet......he's a big fan of Kermit
  12. "Failed his baseline test....." also failed to identify himself in the mirror also failed in re-entry from his mission to Pluto
  13. Great photos! Congrats to you and your son. Were you trying to make Turkey Jerky???
  14. How can anyone get pissed in the land of the Grand Slam??? Working on a laptop..hmmmmm...maybe Manning and crew wanted him to surf porn sites and the guy refused... Or My guess is someone asked him if he was related to Peyton or Eli...and he said--no I have actually made it to a Super Bowl..things went bad from there...
  15. We were a .500 team last year in Games that Holcomb started. Even Mediocre QBing without Takeo made this team average. I hope that either Losman or Nall -- both of whom may have more natural skills than Holcomb--can translate that into on the field performance (ie somehow find Kelly Holcomb's brain and put it in their head). I question letting Milloy and Adams go because their cap figures weren't that high and they created holes that had to be filled..we filled Milloy's with Matt Bowen (who?) and we filled Adams' with noone yet...I would feel a lot better about this team in the short term if we gave up one of the third's for Dwight Smith and maybe the 6th for Hollis Thomas this week and then signed Tutan Reyes...that way we are less dependent on the draft. We have the money to do this..Smith and Reyes are young enough to justify these moves. If we draft for immediate starters I don't think it will be a draft we will look at in three years and be pleased.
  16. I love that the 2 top class of 07 receivers are also in town this weekend for the spring game. I also love that Clausen will be a January entrant.... Charlie has both Bob and Mike Golic as celebrity coaches in addition to Bettis and the Rocket this weekend. He was on Mike and Mike yesterday. He is the best thing since Ara -- maybe Rockne...(okay, I know...way overboard....)
  17. Yep...the for sale sign just went up on the #8 Pick...thanks for advertising it for us Pete. The fix is in if Lenny P and Carruci mention it as well.
  18. I am really getting into the spirit of the draft this year...so for the first time ever--I want to produce a mock draft. I know I will embarrass myself with my lack of knowledge but here goes 1) J. Christ- QB- Heaven--great arm, avoids the rush. Hates to be crucified by the fans. Just when you think you have him beat--he rises up and kicks ass. 2) O. Winfrey-NT - Spellman College-Has problems with weight management but can annoy the crap out of the opponent. Fills running lanes with annoying sound. 3A) B. Bob-SS-Baghdad U-talks a great game--can get anyone to believe anything. Awesome positive motivational force in the locker room. 3B) M. Stewart - LB - Alderson Prison-Tough as nails. Sideline to sideline roamer. Trains by running in shackles. Makes the field and locker room look tasteful but never pretentious. 4) J Wayne-OT - 90210--the baddest bastard on the face of God's earth...just try and get around him and get a bullet in the back. 5) E. Presley-CB/no--LB/no--DT-Graceland-Smooth hip movement. Babe magnet -- media guide cover boy. Just keep the stock of peanut butter and bananas up. 6) C. Weis-Notre Dame-Get us a damn real coach. :-) 7 A and 7B) Charlize Theron and Angelina Jolie--General Manager's privilege What a freaking waste of 5 minutes...
  19. Is he "couldn't spell Cat if you spotted him the C and the T" dumb? Living in the heart of ACC country--our local basketball schools who masquerade as trying to play football each fall--always had a chance against the usually untouchable Seminoles when this guy trotted out on the field. The guy belongs in the arena league where he doesn't have to read defenses...
  20. Followed by: Marv had the chicken special for lunch...
  21. I kind of split the middle between you two. Ralph probably is meddlesome, but I am not sure any of us would be that much different if we owned the team. Marv is probably the only person in the world (other than Jeff Littman) who not only tolerates Ralph's meddling ways but welcomes his input...Does that mean Marv will fail and the Bills will fail...well that's why they play the game...but I wouldn't bet against Marv Levy.....(Marv Apologist = JoeF)
  22. John, explain to me again why you guys signed Bennie Anderson...
  23. I would pay huge money to be in the room when Russert starts to nail Tags with quotes from previous speeches and interviews....damn.... Russert: But on September 20th, 1994 you said the Bills were the most vital and entertaining franchise in the league.... Tags: (inaudible gurgle.....drool on chin....deer in headlights/John Edwards first appearance on MTP look.)
  24. Re-acquire Bledsoe..... :-) They would owe us 500 points to get to number 8 from 18 according to the draft value board.... Draft Pick Value They have Pick #49 (17th of the second round) which is 410 points and pick 80 (#16) is worth 190. We send them #104 (our fourth rounder) to even out the deal. They do not have a fourth rounder--which would have made the deal cleaner but..we'll take their third and give them our fourth. So they get #8 and #104 We get #18, #49, #80 Our picks in the first three rounds will be....#18, #42, #49, #70, #73, #80...6 picks in the top 100....that's a lot of building for the future...or a good possibility to package two of the thirds to get another pick in the second...
  25. No but we did re-sign football's version of the product of a Stevie Wonder/and retired pro wrestler Ronnie Garvin marriage to compete for the #2 WR job.
