  1. More to come on bb.com but Jauron says Losman will get more reps this week in practice and will start against Cincy. from bb.com Head Coach Dick Jauron called J.P. Losman the “front-runner” in the battle for the team’s starting quarterback position. “He will start this next game and he will get more of the reps in practice this week,” said Jauron. “It won’t be 50-50 and we’ll see where it goes after this weekend.” Buffalobills.com will have complete coverage later this evening, including the full interview with Dick Jauron. edit note--its refreshing to have a little transparency and honesty from the head coach and from the front office--we would still be hiding what Craig Nall's injury was in the old regime.
  2. ...and they missed the fact that Bennie Anderson was available...caught napping at the waiver wire again... #95 is going to win a lot of battles and make some plays this year....pretty damn impressive kid.
  3. Yep--he's only making Fowler better. Nice 5th rounder. Wonder if Mort thinks he's a reach. Not too many 295 lb guys that take on two blockers and also make the play. Twice in a row....I sat there kind of stunned...in a good way
  4. Thanks everyone...what a distinguished honor to share a birthday with an icon like erynthered...
  5. Its a good question AJ, but its also interesting that he believes that one of the other two is in a position to distinguish himself enough Saturday night to win the job outright. That's how I read "if somebody really lights it up".... I didn't think that this competition was at this stage yet.....I am probably reading too much into that.
  6. But the guy gets it...from Today's Blog on BB.com-- also interesting Nall news: NALL: I wrote in Bills Digest this week that if Nall can come back by Aug. 14 and play in the second preseason game and do well that this competition isn't over by any means. Talking to him last night (see Bills Roundup - in multimedia section) it looks like it will be Monday that he returns. Dick Jauron said he's not counting him out, so unless somebody really lights it up Saturday night don't put Nall on the back burner yet. He was doing rollouts, high steps and other footwork drills last night after practice with the trainers and looked pretty limber. BRUSCHI'S WRIST: Well it looks like Bruschi is going to miss all of the Patriots preseason games and his status is uncertain for the opener against the Bills. Can't say I'd be disappointed if he couldn't play. Of course if he doesn't he'll be off brokering world peace somewhere and ESPN will have 10 minute updates on his progress. BOWEN'S DIARY: Hey if you haven't checked out Matt Bowen's diary you should. Some informative stuff and some great anecdotes. He's up on the home page. Not to mention he's been making some plays in the secondary the past few days. WIRE OUT: Forgot to mention in last night's notes that Coy Wire sat out the evening workout with a strained back. It's a muscular injury, but it's not believed to be serious. LaWaylon Brown also sat out with his leg injury. ---
  7. You are assuming that TD's goal was to win instead of torturing Bills Fans around the globe.....
  8. Or if TD cut someone it must be because TD is the son of satan and drinks babies blood...
  9. Yep--found it...you both are right...so less curious move...
  10. ...at the time there was speculation from I believe Allen Wilson that the back issues were a convenient excuse...I will see if I can dig that up..
  11. I can't speak for AD but I think he was trying to be funny. Also, its 1/2 way through camp--basically giving them Tucker when they had a huge need with Bentley down and Hallen walking was probably much better than the Browns could of done bottom feeding for a street free agent at this time. Its all about what's out there when you have the need in this case...
  12. Don't give me facts...why would I care... I guess I was looking at the year before when he started 12 games for the Bills and helped solidify a line that played pretty well after he was inserted into the line-up. We went out and signed somebody to a bigger contract who all indications were was going to be benched by his former team (already had been). So Tucker was on upswing, Anderson on a downswing and yet we made the move...just curious. The former regime also did some great things--McGee, Peters, Fletcher-Baker, Spikes, etc...but cutting Tucker was curious at the time and became more curious when Bennie had about 2 serviceable games (Jets at home being one) the whole season.
  13. No kidding....wonder if Crennel has pictures of Belichick and the ex-Giants receptionist....... Why did we effing cut Ross Tucker...a smart tough guy who more often than not seemed to get it done on the field...we picked up Big Bennie...a slightly questionable trade off..
  14. He was with George Siefert, Mike Sherman and OJ...just a rumor...
  15. I didn't hear the speech. Did he mention them in the context of having fresh towels and cold water for him when he hit the sidelines in practice or a game? That's important stuff...proper hydration and a good, dry, germ free towel can never be underestimated
  16. Who's this to again? Capital T "dash" Bone? Hey, quit staring at my crotch....
  17. He doesn't even have to be physically there to make an impact. He is amazing.
  18. Close enough. I will now go on a posting jihad to make sure everyone knows you are my choice. Coach Tuesday looked great today in practice. Every pass was a bullet in warm ups. He threaded the needle several times in 7-7 and 11-11. He was checking off at the line so much during 11-11 that I thought that he knew the playbook better than Fairchild. Man the guy is amazing. I was talking to JP after practice and JP said -- I thought I was doing okay until I saw Coach Tuesday play... Super Bowl or bust...
  19. Do you have any of the following traits: 1) Talk like a surfer 2) Look like a circus midget 3) Functional illiteracy 4) Become briefly petrified/statue like when facing the rush 5) Look like the pillsbury dough boy 6) Powder puff arm 7) million dollar arm with a 10 cent head.. We have had all these since Jim Kelly left--some of them multiple times...just checking. You have my vote if none of the above apply..
  20. There will be no QB. Ricard and Shelton both play. The base play is a direct snap to Willis. Now that Teague is gone we may actually be able to pull a direct snap off.
  21. Glad to see Matt Bowen and I go to the same barber. He simply has a dashing hair style IMHO. Thanks Mike.
  22. Wow...remind me never to want an extra week's vacation....
  23. I speculate its probably a combination of still working on the length of the deal, the gauranteed money and incentives..but I bet all three aspects are in a tight range that will offer a pretty quick resolution (2 days or so). When it gets to this stage--negotiating in the media--things are probably pretty close to getting done. Silence is more worrisome.
  24. "There's a debate this evening at the University of San Diego on the merits of Ockham's razor. Want to join me?"
  25. Cheapskate ...I'll toss in a c-note. Dollars for Donte campaign.
