Craig Nall joins the mix...maybe Interesting....Definitely has the size and the arm....but little playing time.

Started in 04 when Trevor Pryce was hurt and the Bronco's were the fourth best run D in the NFL (94 yards per game)..then they went out and spent heavily on the D-line and Pope was inactive 14 of 16 games this year...Pope Monsanto the First

God, if we can sign the Pope maybe there is hope....plus it would do wonders for the whole Jewish/Catholic feud thing. Marv has to be one of the most respected members of the Jewish faith...an honorary rabbi or something.

Marv is truly the Son of Satan. TD was just a distant cousin. Kinda of like a reverse John the Baptist thing.... -

Now you manage steak houses for your dad...it could be worse...or Worcester Sauce With the talent you had, 3-13 is pretty damn good. -
Whats a Safty? We are drafting number 8 this year--not in the top 5. Free Agency isn't done...last I checked we had about 9 guys visit Wednesday, Thursday and Friday... The Bills met with running back Anthony Thomas (New Orleans), linebacker Paris Lenon (Green Bay), quarterback Craig Nall (Green Bay), guard Steve Neal (New England), and defensive lineman Israel Idonije (Chicago) on Friday plus Fabini, Wells, Pickett, Devries earlier in the week. Out of these, 2 have signed elsewhere (Pickett and Fabini), 2 have Bills offer sheets, and 5 are still in play...We have somewhere in the range of $6 Million still left to spend (more if Moulds is axed)..Free Agency bargain time is upon us..lets see where we are in a couple of weeks..and then think about the draft.

Good job. Powers Neal was suspended for the dreaded team rules violation right before the SC game...that may make him a character no-no for Dick and Marv...

Zero .....but you know, this is a forum where we unwashed masses can say whatever we want, argue, debate, disagree. Personally, I am okay with the "Is Marv Awake's" of the world as long as they state their opinion, defend maybe once or twice in a thread and then leave it at that. Its the 18 posts per thread saying the same thing over and over that seems inane...but I guess that's what the ignore button is for.... Its fun to analyze and give opinions but as Marv says ..."If the front office and coaching staff listen to the fans, they'll end up sitting with them." -
Exactly Dan...don't know whether the methodology is valid -- but its probably a pretty good way to calculate this coming years cap hit.

From the NFLPA Website... Tripplett 2006 760000.00 2007 1685000.00 2008 1685000.00 2009 1935000.00 2010 2185000.00 Signing Bonus was $5.5 Million Likely to be earned incentives $4.25 million Cap hit year one is $1.86 Million Andre Davis 2006 800000.00 Cap hit year one is $1.3 Million Robert Royal 2006 585000.00 2007 1300000.00 2008 1675000.00 2009 1525000.00 2010 1440000.00 Signing Bonus was $2.5 Million Likely to be earned incentives are $975K over the life of the contract. First year cap hit is $1.085 Million Greg Jerman 2006 585000.00 2007 595000.00 Signing Bonus was $90,000 First year cap hit is $630K Josh Stamer 2006 500000.00 2007 595000.00 Don't know his bonus but assume the cap hit is $750K which would be a $500K bonus. $712 was the tender so let's assume that. Matt Bowen not posted yet...but its a $2 Million contract for 2 years--so assume $1 Million cap hit. Mario Haggan--because he was tendered his money was already in the cap..but assume same as Stamer. Josh Reed is not filed yet..but from the other structures I would assume his cap hit is around $1.5 Million for 06 So -- lets review... Tripplett Cap hit for 06 is $1.86 Million Davis $1.3 Million Royal $1.1 Million Jerman $ .63 Million Bowen $1 Million Haggan $ .038M Stamer $.038 Million Reed $1.5 Million We have spent about $7.5 Million of an available $15 Million in cap room to sign these players..still plenty of room to go. Marv is definitely !@#$ing up his legacy...

Three youngest kids in bed. Between shifts at McDonald's...wanted to see what my smarter brethern were doing....That's my story..... The pipeline of future talent evaluators is strong. The NFL has a bright, bright future.

Cards have seven days to decide -
I think you hit Lurker...the deal is probably back end loaded..something like Salary Year 1 $1M Salary Year 2 $1.5 M Salary Year 3 $2.5 Salary Year 4 $3 M Amoritized bonus is $500K per year ...so cap hit for this year is probably in the range of $1.5 M... Also--if Fairchild brings the Rams offense--there is little difference between the playing time for #3 Receiver and #4 Receiver--McDonald and Curtis had similar numbers the couple of years if you remove the impact that Curtis starting had when Bruce was hurt last year.. I wonder however--if something is in the works with Moulds.....Denver is building to win now and those 2 late number 1's are more of a burden than a blessing....could one of those be targeted to acquire Eric....hmmmm

KFFL reporting the same -- attributing it to John Clayton....

Really sorry to hear this Nick...condolences and prayers from the F's.

Okay Todd Vermeil While I agree with you on the solid O-line part....and I want to give JP a chance...there is really no better time to take a fresh look at the talent we have then right after a regime change...If Coach Dick and Marv feel like Holcomb and Losman can't get it done and that Cutler, Young or Lienart are that much better--I am okay with that--its their jobs... Plus the other way I look at it -- from a cap perspective about the only position worthy of the cap hit of a #8 draft choice is a top 15 QB..just about every other position the initial contract for a #8 draftee puts you at a payscale that is way out of whack with the rest of league for the position--into the top 5 salaries for the position for a way less than proven talent.....but if you get a top 15 QB--the cap hit for a draftee puts you right about where you should be for the life of the initial contract.

I wonder if MATT has arms and legs......

-Return of Marv -Return of TKO -A new era--the changes the fans wanted were done.. -A coach who has actually led a team to the playoffs - Most disenchanted and most obnoxious fan of the day contests at every game - Canada Day -Mexico Day - Portugal Day - Estonia Day - Hot Russian Babe Day - Car giveaway - Free Beer and Wings Day Too bad there's only 8 regular season and two preseason home games.... ..... -

Fill the DT tackle spots by reupping Edwards--the market will be really soft for him coming off an injury--but he has shown he can rehab well in the past and also going after Jackson or Davis. The Brick will be gone so no OL at #8...draft interior OL and a promisng tackle in the second and third rounds (don't care what order)...and expect only the interior guy to contribute in '06...if you are going to draft D-line at 8 it better be a 10 sack plus a year potential rusher--not a big fat sweathog DT... Draft Huff or Davis in the first...we need playmakers....I agree with SDS--when you are going to tie up 5-10% of your cap in a college kid for the forseeable future--drafting for need is not wise..draft a playmaker worthy of the salary...if it happens to fit your need all the better--if it doesn't fill a need it hopefully gives you leverage to make a trade... -
I am waiting for the new Peace Bridge..if I am going to jump its not going to be off some rickety old rusty structure...

We will be lucky to win one preseason game...maybe a controlled scrimmage....I don't even want to think about the absolute horror of the regular season...
