  1. Strong effort.....if you're this good at creative writing you should write for The Buffalo News
  2. Is it time for training camp yet?
  3. I heard he tried to count 7 cheese and pepperoni hot pockets as one item...
  4. Are off-season threads going to focus on random player tweets? Just wondering....Thinking of upping the order of supplies for the apocalypse shelter...
  5. Its hard to win in the NFL. Half the !@#$ing teams do it each week...
  6. Goat--you have had some inside information in the past....is this speculation or some "better than Vic" sourcing?
  7. Vic heard the following ultimatums: On the O side 1) Chris Palmer come back younger than 65 years old 2) Greg Roman has to lose the 5 day growth look 3) Anthony Lynn's limit is 2 head coaching interviews 4) Kromer has to wrestle and pin the state high school wrestling champ (heavyweight division) from at least 3 states On the D side 1) Thurman has to learn how to use headphones 2) Dunbar needs to spend the summer with Pepper Johnson 3) Donnie Henderson needs to finally give birth to that keg he has been carrying around 4) Jeff Weeks needs to get that stupid smile off his face and his lips off Rex's ass Special Teams 1) Crossman needs to hope Saint Doug gets a job Editors at TBN-- won't let it out though until quadruple checking.
  8. BB -- you don't like camo and denim I take it???
  9. You are right Kelly -- but honestly with 10 back ups on the field -- some of whom weren't even street free agents/practice squaders at the beginning of the year (Dizzy and Reddick) -- it shouldn't have come down to this. The Jets let a team without its starting TE, #2 WR, #1 and #2 RB convert half of their 3rd and 4th downs???? Hold the ball for 40 minutes....that's tight playing...that's giving too much cushion and not filing gaps aggressively....that's not playing playoff football.
  10. He really kicks Kelly's ass in the fashion department....
  11. Why does a team that has a thousand yard rusher give him the ball less than 10 times in bad weather? Why does that same team continually throw down the field instead of going short and underneath when they have a huge size advantage at the receiver position? How does one of the best defenses in the league allow a 45% conversion rate on 3rd down and a 100% conversion rate on 4th down? The Jets played and coached "tight" -- reminded me of this game -- when the Steelers played back ups.... but the Steelers were 14-1 coming into the game.. http://espn.go.com/nfl/recap?gameId=250102002 I give credit to the Bills playing a disciplined game -- but the Jets choked.....choked in strategy, choked in execution and made very few plays on D when it counted. It came down to Fitz being able to be a difference maker and Fitz is not Brady or Rodgers in the clutch...not even close.
  12. The retraction saves TBN from being The National Enquirer on this one....yikes...next headline will be alien babies in Lackawanna...or Jennifer Garner and Katy Perry in torrid affair.... Still say this was on purpose TFP.....send a message...build a media bully...
  13. The Browns Players with ugly girlfriends/wives just breathed a sigh a relief....
  14. I think this is more of a purposeful FU to the Buffalo News and Vic. Give the flagship station the scoop on Whaley and give the paper that has started just about every tabloid style rumor this year a wrong angle...this might be a purposeful shot across the bow to show the Buffalo News Bills writers that if they want inside access they need to start providing what the team sees as more balanced coverage. The relationship with the news has ebbed and flowed over the years...this may be an ebb. If I were Terry and Kim -- the Bucky Gleason editorial last week questioning their ownership abilities would have been the final blow....
  15. I'd take him as HC of the Bills right now....
  16. Good point Astro.. I think bringing in Kaep or RGIII would impeded TT's growth as a team leader -- which is really important. I love how TT got in Jordan Mills' face a bit in the 4th quarter and prevented a personal foul on a retaliation...grabbed him by the face mask....TT is self motivated enough that he doesn't need competition -- he is playing for a big contract next year. Don't cloud this by bringing in a 1A....
  17. He definitely was the snow plow for the cold front this year......
  18. You hit it Kirby. The leap between college and the pros at the QB position is almost unimaginable. Pro LB's run like most college CB's...anticipation and accuracy are at a premium in the pros -- a great college QB can be a see and throw guy. What I was most impressed with TT this year is that he evolved to an anticipation thrower the last half of the year rather than a see and throw guy (like EJ)....most college QBs are see and throw guys...honestly, the best anticipation QB I saw this year in College was #10 from Ole Miss....
  19. Is this counted in the Bills cap for 2016 Gordio?
  20. I guess I have trouble with the bottom line on EJ...0-2 with a loss to one of the worst teams in the league...a loss that can be traced directly to his play in the worst quarterbacked quarter of NFL football I have seen in while...I think the Bills want a back up who can at least have a shot at winning a game..There is film on a lot of back up QB's because of this year's high number of injuries...this might be an area where Whaley and Co. can improve the team at very little or no cap hit. I am fine with EJ as #3 but not #2. He's still relatively cheap and the Bills have little invested in the position comparatively. Cutting Mario and redoing Clay give the Bills cap room to do some things...finding a suitable #2 should be one of these.
  21. Bills had a versatile passing game yesterday...but it took a team with Revis and Cromartie to bring it out....hopefully its a permanent part of the strategy now...
  22. Definitely makes me retract some things I wrote and thought about him earlier in the year. He still has a misguided temper at times that causes stupid mistakes and penalties (think Jerry Hughes of the offense) but he has a great competitive drive and some talent. However, I still believe the Bills need better depth at the WR position...make teams pay dearly for doubling Sammy. Maybe if Clay, Harivn and Woods were truly healthy they would fill the role -- but Harvin's as durable as soft pencil lead and Woods and Clay were dinged all year...We need a ying to Sammy's yang..
  23. I like Brown a lot (I like Fuller as well although the drops this year bothered me and he disappeared in some games) -- when Kizer needed a play -- it was Brown he was looking for this year. Brown reminds me of Jerricho Cotchery when he was at NC State...never grabbed a lot of headlines but found ways to get open, could beat press coverage and was a really good blocker. Brown might be a good 6 or 7 "throw away pick". Particularly if the Bills get a couple compensatory picks. I think Brown will end up having a long productive NFL career.
  24. I think they should move it to Saturday night and put it up against the Lumber Liquidators Wood Bowl Game which features teams from two schools without NCAA sanctioned football teams in a game of two hand touch.
