  1. Just what he wanted!
  2. Yeah whilst typing out all of that I basically gave myself the answer. Thanks!
  3. I would think they have some of those plays tucked away for a better opponent. We'll see.
  4. Agreed. But, he is a hard worker, willing blocker, good teammate, etc. I don't think there is a trade market for him, but it does us no good to cut him either. They'll ride out his contract and probably not keep him around unless he improves.
  5. You're right, I misremembered, he converted on 2nd and 10 for 20 yards in the 4th quarter on the game winning drive. Still an important catch.
  6. Half ppr: I've got Tyler Boyd, James White, Devin Singletary, Tyrell Williams and John Brown as flex options this week. Boyd: Easy start most weeks, but a bad matchup with our secondary. Think he sees a lot of targets, but upside seems limited. White: Currently mired in an unpredictable RBBC and in last week's blowout he didn't see a lot of work. Should be another blowout this week. Singletary: Seems like a good flex choice given how the backs cut up the Bengals last week, but the hammy screws this up. If he plays, does he aggravate it? Tyrell: Getting good WR1 usage in Oakland, hip pointer is a problem, matchup is eh. John Brown: Also in a blowup spot like Singletary, but of course no health issues here.
  7. I think it weighed on him considerably. However, two years is a long time to have the yips. I hope that's not still holding him back. Zay has been inconsistent, but this year he has made the tough catches he needed to make - notably one to convert a 4th down against the Jets. He is doing a little better this year, so far.
  8. The Jets game was a bit fluky with the early turnovers, but I understand your point. Bigger tests await. The team did look considerably better than their opponents these first two weeks, and we always say good teams take care of business against bad ones. They did just that, so I remain optimistic.
  9. Love me some ZO
  10. Drake for a low pick is far better than whoever suggested going after Melvin Gordon. Still, I think they ride Gore and Yeldon for a week or two if Singletary is to miss any time. Although this is a stellar fantasy matchup and I selfishly want to start him this week so here's hoping he is good to go!
  11. I don't think he would take that trade but I would certainly offer it.
  12. Was gonna mention him too. He looks to be much improved in his second year.
  13. My buddy is a Steelers fan and we kid around about how they thought Tremaine Edmunds was still on the board and they inadvertantly drafted his brother in the first round last year. How do you moderate the integrity of the game in this regard though? Besides, tanking like this still requires almost a perfect selection of players and free agents to be competitive. It's not a sure thing by any stretch. And hey it benefits us a little more than most of the league Sonics ain't complaining.
  14. Wow, ballsy trade for Pitt. They must believe in Rudolph at least a little bit. I can't believe how many picks the Dolphins are acquiring and I sure hope they screw it up.
  15. Our tackles are getting beat in pass pro a bit too much but still improved from a year ago. They will continue to gel, I trust, and they play with an edge that I love to see.
  16. Shurmur's situation is unfortunate, but I don't think it's his fault. The Mara's don't want him to play Jones, but if he doesn't he may lose his job anyway because they aren't winning games.
  17. I do think we are a good team, but at this point the Patriots are still far and away the better team. I think our best case scenario is like the Chiefs and Chargers last year, but that's still getting a little too far ahead, optimistic though I may be.
  18. Bojo is PFF's punter of the week, for whatever that's worth: https://www.pff.com/news/pro-pffs-nfl-team-of-the-week-2019-nfl-week-2
  19. I thought Harry played a really solid game yesterday.
  20. I understand fans that are used to the Bills botching big opportunities (TNF vs. Jets two years ago, etc.), but I fully believe that this team struggled the past two years because the roster was still in transition. Especially after the first few weeks of last season the defense was lock down and then Allen came back making strides. This Bills team is prepared week in and week out and they will be ready for Cincy. John Ross is fast, but so is Robby Anderson and so is Saquon Barkley. We'll be fine.
  21. Yes, it's time to "defend our dirt" as McD preaches. I thought Taylor was an uninspiring HC hire but we'll see how things play out. Bengals did just come off a crushing loss to Seattle and their performance yesterday had that sort of shellshocked look to it. It's too bad Glenn (we got them good on that trade!) and Jonah aren't playing because their offense has the potential to be amazing, but it looks fairly one-dimensional with Mixon not getting any holes and Dalton under pressure. Boyd and Ross are legit even without AJ. And Eifert is still playing football amazingly; one has to wonder if he still has the high ceiling anymore.
  22. Their WRs are much better than the Jets'. Fortunately our pass D is top notch, plus as you said their OL is shaky and can be feasted on. Their D, on the other hand, is atrocious outside of some good DL (and Preston Brown lol). I think the game still favors us quite a bit given how well we have played as a team so far. Let's get to 3-0!
