  1. BTW, is a Saltine Warrior a Native American or just some cracker?
  2. Golden Wheels is a woman, but I believe she is only one woman.
  3. I think the Bills missed their opportunity to "go after the Vikings D" on December 5th.
  4. I love a good margarita. Tough to get, in most bars and restaurants. When I was bartending at the Seneca Casino in Niagara Falls, a Mexican couple asked if we could make a decent margarita. They had a terrible drink at another bar in the casino. The guy I was bartending with told them all the margaritas in the place were the same. (Which was basically true, We were supposed to make a lame margarita with the mix). I told them I would make them a real margarita (as you described above). They stayed for several and tipped us quite well. (They said they were the best, and only "real" margaritas they have had on their trip to the USA.) The other bartender asked me, "Why did you do that?" Duh. There are some real lazy morons in this world. One of my favorite "mixed drinks" is a very dry gin gimlet. Again, hard to get a good one, as they tend to use the overly sweet Roses Lime Juice and use far too much of it. I prefer a freshly made lime juice, and then used sparingly. Or, if I'm in a bar that uses Roses, I tell them to put two or three drops in the drink...the way they would use vermouth in an extra dry martini. Then I put a big piece of lime in it. While I prefer it on the rocks (packed with ice) it is also good well stirred and served in a chilled cocktail glass. Oh in this drink good gin is very important. I'm kinda partial to Bombay Sapphire. (I also have had other bartenders and waitresses get perturbed with me when I would accommodate a customer who wanted their drink with unsweetened ice tea. "We only have sweet tea", they would tell the customer. I would always make a cup of tea, and then chill it before using it their drink. C'mon, you have tea, you have hot water, how can you say you don't have unsweetened ice tea?)
  5. I'm sure you would.
  6. I think Smith should get major credit for making Jordon what he eventually became. Had he played for the typical coach, he would have been allowed to play street-style ball. Smith helped him learn defense, discipline and the value of team play. I love the old joke, "Who's the only man who could hold Michael Jordon to under 20 points in a game?" The answer of course is, "Dean Smith"
  7. Rarely go out on NY eve. This year (like last) I will have dinner at a friend's condo right in my complex and then watch the fireworks from our parking lot. Perhaps I will walk across the street and check out the festival for a bit, to see if the band is any good.
  8. Dunno about the new model, but the sound on the older mags was astonishing. They were also quite challenging to set up. A friend of mine tried a pair and they were simply unusable in his home. The difference between how they sounded in the show room and how they sounded in his environment was enormous. And while they are great for jazz and classical music, those who like to "feel the bass" may be disappointed.
  9. Thanks, that makes sense. (BTW, I think you linked the same grill twice there, but I found the other one.) I love those press grills with floating hinges. This one also has flat plates which makes if more versatile.
  10. I have no problem with the kid getting his comeuppance, as long as no violence is involved. And, GG you are correct. Some here seem to excuse any stupid reaction by an older person if they don't like the actions of a younger "punk". I would posit youngsters might have more respect for their elders if those elders weren't such douchebags. Clearly a man who has to resort to physical abuse for some perceived violation is not someone who should be respected. I would guess grandpa here probably is the kind of guy who's idea of an explanation is "Because I said so!"
  11. He didn't simply go "overboard", he physically assaulted a person when he has absolutely no right or reason to do so. Jaywalking is against the law too. Is this moron going to beat them up, too?
  12. You also understand that assault is against the law, right?
  13. What am I missing here? Why did the bus driver have to resign?
  14. While it seems rather odd the Ryans posted these videos and/or pictures, how else do you explain their existence in cyberspace? I think Rex's refusal to deny this is his wife makes it fairly clear it IS her. These are fetish videos. These are not "private" videos, they are made to share among fetishists. The way they are typically shared these days, is via the Internet.
  15. Just the exoskeleton for me.
  16. The initial pictures are edited (well obscured, anyway). I didn't click on them to see the uncensored versions. Why? I really have no interest in looking at some old lady's cooch.
  17. Most people I know who use Kindles prefer to read from books, but there are times they are not particularly convenient. If you travel and are a voracious reader a Kindle can be a very nice tool.
  18. Do you own a mirror?
  19. Amen brother. Actually , yes I do. Maybe not the explicit stuff, which may be photoshopped (I didn't really look at it), but the other stuff for sure. Of course he, and/or his wife, posted this stuff. I think it's fairly obvious the foot fetish stuff is his wife with him making the tapes. If they didn't post them to the net, how did they get there? I think this is all very fair game.
  20. I just noticed this, and it was a wise edit. But, just to clarify, it was a cartoon picture of a penis.
  21. Sometimes, I unbuckle my seat belt just after the plane lands, but before it gets to it's final stop at the gate. I probably deserve to be punched by a stupid old man with a hall monitor complex.
  22. Dunno, but one response might be "to light a fire under Lynch's ass". But mostly, I don't think coaches really put as much stock as fans in who is a "starter", when they plan to give several players plenty of playing time. Who starts the game isn't as important as who is there in clutch time. Could Spiiler's starter status have been PR related? Sure, it might have been. But I have to think Chan planned on getting CJ some carries in the game, anyway. Is it that big a deal who plays the first down or who is announced as a starter?
  23. You have a point of course. The main players in the FO put together their board before draft day, when they have time to debate/discuss/etc. While they might not agree on every player, they rank them in an order they can live with. And I think they have a good idea of who they are targeting, especially in the early rounds. Of course things can change on draft day. Both of the two guys you targeted (and thought would be there) are taken, but there are a couple of guys you didn't expect to be available (for example). Who makes the call when the clock is ticking? I would guess, with this FO, it is Buddy. But I wouldn't simply assume Buddy picks the guy he wants over the guy Chan prefers or Modrak recommends, when that situation arises.
