  1. I'm confused. Are the drivers looking at a monitor showing what the camera sees? If that's the case I think you are correct. Otherwise what the camera shows and what he SAW could be two very different things. And I just upped the ante.
  2. I agree. But I doubt he has designed a stadium, without a site, already. This, like the sale, is a process. Buffalo is a very tough city to get things done quickly. If he gets it done in three years AFTER approval, he will have done very well. Approval and planning will take time. There will be a lot of infighting on the location, I think. 2019-2020 sounds about right to me. Could be longer, though.
  3. I think that's because some of us are going only off the evidence on the tape, and you and WEO are guessing what he was thinking, and factoring in his reputation. I hear an engine rev. Stewarts? Who knows? I can't see every car on the track. Does the soundtrack identify which car is which? I have no idea what Tony sees, or doesn't see. And that another driver managed to miss him means absolutely nothing. I think DC Tom as the steering explanation right (I'm clueless about these kinds if vehicles) and could have been accelerating to slide past him.
  4. Crap. I thought the Bills had a chance this year. Let the stupid begin!
  5. Aren't you the guy who claimed the Bass Pro, and the New Peace Bridge were DONE DEALS? But I do like Pegula and if anyone can get it done quickly it is he. Still gonna take five years, at least. Mark it down. Nice to see you posting Sen. Hope you are feeling good.
  6. I'm guessing he isn't in shape for the season, quite yet. But it's August. He won't have to play a full game for another month. He looked pretty damn good for being "out of shape", though.
  7. I think I remember reading something saying it would be delayed. As far as I know, it has not been released.
  8. Picking a fight with Tony Stewart is one thing. Picking a fight with Tony Stewart's vehicle is something altogether different.
  9. And there's the rub.
  10. Or everyone who has sucked in preseason like Fitzpatrick! I can't believe these threads don't get immediately closed.
  11. Just move the headquarters to Toronto and call it 1 Bills Drive. Genius!
  12. Yes, that's what I get, too. Erie County could (and probably would) amend the agreement, and drop the penalty, for another stadium in Erie County. I'm not so sure that's the case if the stadium ends up being built in Niagara County. But the agreement, as is, binds the team to Ralph Wilson Stadium. I still think having a new stadium in 3 years is a pipe dream, without further information. I think the out clause in the contract is about the right time table for a new stadium...and that's my being optimistic. And I agree, good first post.. But only because you agree with me.
  13. C'mon. You could take the Biebster.
  14. Are we going to have a thread, with a completely meaningless "poll", for every QB vs EJ?
  15. I think mountain climbing qualifies as "an activity".
  16. WTF? So the first guy saw him, so Stewart must have seen him, too? That's poor reasoning at its sloppiest. It is a tragedy though. And Stewart is likely in for a suspension and some legal action. But it would be hard to prove this was intentional and even harder to believe it. As I was watching it, I couldn't believe he was staggering across the track. I've seen guys get out of the car (probably not the smartest move) but not weaving around between cars.
  17. Indeed. And when he left the Bills I don't recall anyone shedding any tears. My recollection of his time here was that of mediocrity and stupid penalties. A lineman should be incognito. Richie isn't.
  18. Beware the Football Gods. They taketh away as much as they giveth.
  19. Great write up, BADO. And I have no real disagreements with any of it. I for one, loved that they tried to muscle the first down near the goal line. I was fairly encouraged by Marrone taking the opportunities to work on things, rather than taking the conservative (and more realistic) approach in the preseason. I will suspend judgment on Schwartz until I see what he turns out in the regular season. I liked a lot of what Pettine did last year, but despite all his creativity he never found a way to stop the run last year. I'm sure that was due to injuries to some extent. But I think Schwartz may have a better approach in that area. Of course, what he does in that area may not pay off in others. I guess we will find out.
  20. I understand that was the intention of the clause (at least I think it was). And I agree Erie county would likely waive the penalties for any in-county stadium. I'm just not sure what happens if it the stadium is built in another WNY county. Perhaps they would be willing to work out a deal with a neighboring county if something is done there. Well, I'm digging the positivity and hope you are right. You still haven't answered the question about the penalty clause in the lease, though. I'm not too worried though, as I think 3 years is far too aggressive of a time frame. As of now, there is no location, no environmental impact study, no financial agreements---you get the picture. The political wrangling, inevitable lawsuits, etc would take at least a year or so to settle before construction could even begin. You must think a lot of the planning (design, contract issues, etc) is already a good way down the road for this to happen in that time frame. Do you have inside information or it this pure speculation?
  21. You have the power to make your wish come true--at least for yourself,. Stop worrying about it. That's it! There were people who worried about Kemp, Fergy, Kelly...you name it. I remember when some were discussing sitting Kelly behind Frank Reich...seriously. There are maybe 5 QBs in football who qualify as someone most don't have SOME worry about and maybe two of them are young QBs. The Bill have a very young QB who is in a growth process. That's not something to worry about, IMO. Rather it is something to enjoy watching.
  22. Do we know that to be true? What if the new stadium isn't in Erie County (just for the sake of discussion). I didn't read the entire lease, but I did check out the penalty section and didn't see an out for a new stadium. Maybe I just wasn't paying attention.
