  1. Kiss is a joke. But if Alice Cooper gets in why not let another joke in?
  2. I really don't get the Tebow hate. Honestly, I don't think there is that much of it around. There is a LOT of Tebow doubt though, and some simply can't tell the difference between doubt and hate. Clearly there are some who declared he couldn't play in the NFL. I'm sure some of those people will find fault with him whenever they can. Others proclaimed him the next big thing, and they look for any reason to show they were right. Pretty stupid, actually.
  3. Actually I have no use for Benson. I did laugh a bit at some his earlier stuff, but from what I have seen lately he's horrible. He has a terrible show on Comedy Central called The Benson Interruption. I have only seen 10 minutes here and there, but what I saw sucked. Another "stoner" comic who isn't funny is Jim Breuer. Goat Boy only takes you so far. OTOH, Mitch Hedberg was hysterical.
  4. Other than Madonna it's a rather fine list, actually. And it's not that I necessarily think Madonna doesn't belong. I simply have no use for her and think she lacks musical/singing talent.
  5. He probably thought you must have been more stoned than him for thinking that maters to a stoner.
  6. You think this tread gets bumped every week he plays, or only on the weeks he does well? With that said, it seems like he had a real nice game on Sunday. Congrats to Tim!
  7. Indeed. Luck isn't timid about throwing the ball. Just because he plays at Stanford, doesn't mean he will be like Trentative.
  8. Dr. John, Waits, Love and Russel would get my vote. Holzman certainly deserves to get in, if you induct record label guys. Not sure about Rupe. Alice Cooper and Neil Diamond probably deserve it, but they wouldn't get my vote.
  9. I have seen no evidence of that, really. You might assume he has issues, based on a few incidents in his past, but I have yet to hear a coach speak ill of him. He seems like a very together young man in interviews, that's for sure. I do agree there should be concern because he is a one-year wonder. And while I think the Bills need to repair other positions, I wouldn't be pissed if they took a top-level QB early in the draft. Probably not what I would do, but there are different valid approaches. If I was in charge and Newton or Mallett were available, I would be tempted. I'm describing Joe Montana and Tom Brady, actually. Comparing Luck with Fitz only goes so far. They are both smart and confident. But Luck can throw the ball extremely well. He has no accuracy issues. If he were simply thought of as a "game manager" would be be considered the #1 QB available by nearly every draft expert?
  10. Or mine.
  11. Honestly, from what I have seen of them in college, Luck looks more ready to me than Ryan did when he came out. Ryan was spectacular, no doubt. He also made some very iffy decisions. In his defense, he was usually trying to win a game and had little help. I'm not sure I have seen Luck make a bad decision. I've seen him make a bad throw, but I don't see the desperate attempts I saw from Ryan while he was in college. Luck might benefit from another year in college, though if there is a season he'd be nuts to stay, IMO. He has been coached by one of the best and looks to be soaking up the knowledge. I can't say Luck will be a better NFL QB than Ryan, but I think he is less risky as a draft pick.
  12. Rookie.
  13. In the Walmart/Costco kind of check, I don't think they suspect the person they check of shoplifting, at least not specifically. I think it is a general check to help dissuade shoplifting.
  14. Did you get a big box of florescent Crayolas for Christmas? It seems like you are all hopped up on florescent crayons, based on your posts.
  15. Actually The Senator did/does. You seem to be arguing against yourself here, in your attempt to disparage Luck at any cost. Clearly a team w/o a rushing game will use the pass more often. If you insist that Ryan had to carry more of the load for BC than Luck does for Stanford, at least admit that has something to do with Ryan passing for more yards. You can't have it both ways here.
  16. A big blow to the team. I love the way Roy plays.
  17. You can even add Parcell's rather forgettable effort in Dallas. It seems to me, with the exception of this year, Wade did a better job in the Big D than did the Tuna. That sounds about right. I won't object to changing if they can get one of the premier guys available, but I don't expect it to happen.
  18. Actually, the waffles and spiked eggnog were far better suggestions than yours. IMO of course.
  19. My recommendation is to push the old lady to the ground on your way out! Or, shiv the mofo.
  20. If you were going to replace the DC (I doubt the Bills will) I would suggest you get an experienced and successful DC with a track record of turning around defenses wherever he goes. Not a guy with limited coaching experience who failed at his first high-level coaching job.
  21. I'm guessing he is referring to the rather random spot checks the Walmart door-tenders sometimes perform. They take a peek at your receipt and inside your bag. Rarely happens and usually isn't very thorough. No security siren necessary. Could you refuse and make a scene and giant ass-wipe of yourself. I suppose you could to that route.
  22. No, thank you. Welcome to The Wall.
  23. Wrong. But you already know that.
  24. It's only based on who the FAs are this year, not on who is on the roster. They happen to be some of the better players who are FAs, this year. Get some perspective.
