It has to be a pretty easy gig. She lives in a big mansion with servants, parties, etc. I'm sure she has a HUGE expense account and draws a big salary. And what does she have to do? I doubt there is any sex involved. Hef is 140 years old. He couldn't get it up with a case of Viagra and an hydraulic crane. She has to pretend she has sex with Hef. She is a beard, of sorts.

I'm guessing he finished when the gun went off, so to speak.

Buffalo is a ghost town - the worst city ever...
The Dean replied to BLZFAN4LIFE's topic in Off the Wall Archives
You know, I never consider the possibility someone would be looking for something other than a bar. Which goes to my original point. Downtown Buffalo isn't really a happening place at night. But that's not all of Buffalo. Since he wasn't looking for a bar (I'm still a bit befuddled) what do you suppose he was looking for? What's happening in downtown Medicine Hat on a Monday night? I'm guessing he was just looking for "activity" and didn't see any. -
My father used to say, "You're as young as the women you feel." In this case, I guess that should be "as old as..." Or maybe, "as dead as..."?

You do remember Bill Belicheat* was with Tuna when they beat the Bills in the SB, right? I think my point was Levy was better than Tuna when BB wasn't a part of his staff. But, even going back to when they were together, Levy beat the BP's Giants when they met in 1987 and 1989 (the year they met in the SB). While I think the game was played on the Giant's terms, I don't blame Marv for a series of missed tackles on a third and long, some big dropped passes and a missed FG. And of course, Marv went to the SB the next three years. Yes, he stunk as a HC. From eyeballing the date, it looks like Levy (HC) and Parcells/Belicheat* (HC/DC) went head-to-head 17 times. Levy's team won 9 times. I don't think Parcells ever went head-to-head against Levy after BB left the stable. I might be off by a game or two, I just did it in my head as I looked at the records. That same method reveals Levy teams bested Don Shula's (who I have seen called the best NFL coach of all time) 17 times and lost to him 6 times. I won't bother to go into his stint at GM because your hyperbolic rants on this topic tend to obfuscate any bit of reasonable discussion.

The safety rating of that is actually not that bad, considering the size. But past experience with a very small (and far unsafer) car, the Renault 5 (Le Car), taught me you can avoid a lot of trouble with a small car like that. But if a big vehicle hits you in the right spot, you're toast. I can accept that possibility.

Yes, I remember there were a few. "Brian, bring me that other gun out." WHAT?

A Vespa is a definite possibility, actually. I have wanted one for years. I just don't know if I can take helmet hair.

Buffalo is a ghost town - the worst city ever...

My point was, if he only wandered a few blocks from his hotel it may have seemed like a ghost town. Maybe he was downtown. Buffalo isn't a downtown kind of city. There's a difference between a ghost town and a place where people are out, places are open but not many people are walking around. When someone says a place is a "ghost town" I figure nothing is open, there is nothing to do, etc. -
I think I saw his girlfriend today. I tried to take a pic while I was driving, but she took a quick turn before I could snap it. She was in a red Miata, with a Georgia plate that read: UNIXCHK She's just as annoying as her boyfriend, but a bit smarter. I kinda like it, actually. But I've always been a fan of bizarre vehicles. If I lived in a big city where it was hard to park, I would seriously consider getting a Smart Car. If it felt better inside (it's a bit cheap feeling) it might be a slam dunk. Even now, when 90% of my driving involves traveling less than 10 miles a day, all slow stop-and-go, it gets some consideration. I have a 17-year old BMW 740 that is great on the highway. But I am beating the crap out of the thing with all this mickey-mouse driving. I really could use a small fun car for work. It's a hell of a lot cooler than the Geek Squad's bug.

I can believe the few blocks near the hotel he might be staying at might be very dead. But Buffalo really isn't a "Downtown" city. It is a city of neighborhoods. I might think Long Beach was a ghost town too, if I only wandered a few blocks from my old apartment on Signal Hill. -

Were all the bars on Chippewa closed? What about the Elmwood strip? Allentown? -
When he had Bill the Cheater as his DC, he did a better job than Levy as HC. Without Belicheat*, Parcells was an above average HC, but not as good as Levy. As a GM/personnel guy, you'd have to rate the Tuna higher than Marv. Marv only served, in a rather limited capacity (compared to most old school GMs) for two years. Parcells worked reasonably successfully with several teams over many years. Mostly I give Parcells for being very smart about where he went to work. With the possible exception of the Miami job, he always went to a team that was seriously under-performing. The Pats*, Jets and Cowboys were all better than their record before BP would indicate. They also have owners who were totally committed to doing whatever it took to win. The Miami job was a bit different I think, and I was never sure it would work completely. BP wasn't GM or HC. What the hell was he, then? As Executive Vice President of Football Operations he got to hire the GM and the HC. What does he do then? Let them do their jobs or usurp their authority? Does he let the HC buy the groceries, as he demanded? Does he let the GM make decisions independently? I give him credit for helping to right that ship, but he was unable to take them much further. I'm not a Parcells basher but I do object to those who think his crap doesn't stink. He was unable to get the job done in Dallas and Miami before he bailed. And he had very committed, big spending, owners in those jobs. If he was the football genius many proclaim him to be, where are the SB rings since he parted with Belicheat*?

How you going to put probes up its ass if all you have is a picture?

Don't know how this one got by me. Earlier this month, jazz saxophonist James Moody passed away. Moody played with Dizzy Gillespie and is best known for his take on I'm In The Mood for Love. It was known as "Moody's Mood For Love" and it is really rather good. There are many versions out there, including the and many vocal efforts. The lyrics were written and performed by Eddie Jefferson. It is a tough song to sing, as the vocalist is asked to mimic the sax portion of the song. King Pleasure is also an early performer of the vocal version. Here's James himself, lisping his way to a very amusing vocal version of the song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xs2Uw6nIZVs RIP James Moody

What a stupid POS Etem must be. He probably based his observations on the couple of blocks near his hotel. Buffalo isn't the most exciting city in the world, but a "ghost town". Gimme a break. He should go to Niagara Falls, NY if he wants to see a ghost town. -
2011 rock & roll hall of fame inductees

They are a makeup/persona/stage act. I think music was very low on the list of what was important to the band, and certainly near the bottom of what was important to their fans. That's why I call them (and Cooper) a joke. It was mostly about image, and less about music. Like Madonna they should be enshrined into the Marketing Hall of Fame. -
BEAT THE JETS! Period. I will be happy with no other outcome.

I know who is. Been around forever. Usually shown (on posters at comedy clubs) with a leather helmet and/or boxing gloves.
