If these violent protests keep up I see that helping elect republicans and more funding for police. -
The stadium has a roll-in natural grass field similar to the one at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.[70] While the Raiders play on the grass field, UNLV prefers to play on an artificial turf surface. The artificial turf is placed directly on the stadium's concrete floor, and the tray holding the grass field is designed so that it can roll in and out without disrupting the turf underneath it.[71] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allegiant_Stadium

Partisan politicians encourages people to also be divided almost to the point of civil war. Elected officials who tolerate any violence , rioting , looting , fires are encouraging even more lawlessness. Covid has made these problems exponentially worse.

Jennifer Griffin Defends Reporting & “Unimpeachable” Sources After President Ordered Fox News Fire Her “I can tell you that my sources are unimpeachable,” Griffen told Cavuto. “I feel very confident in what we have reported at Fox.” Griffin also stood by the credibility of her sources, noting that they are not anonymous to her and that she doubts “they are anonymous to the president,” as well. She went on to explain that people have been reluctant to step forward and speak about the President, after seeing how he “destroyed” people who have crossed him and how he has “weaponized” Twitter. https://deadline.com/2020/09/president-trump-calls-for-firing-fox-news-correspondent-jennifer-griffin-for-confirming-atlantic-story-1234571464/ -

Kamala and Jill will keep pointing Joe in the right direction, no problem. I doubt Trump would ever take advice from anyone. -

Should absentee ballots be illegal?
ALF replied to Warren Zevon's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Officials turn pizzerias into polling places as retirement homes, schools bow out (CNN)The pandemic has created yet another hurdle for officials trying to plan November's election: Places that typically serve as reliable polling stations are now off the table because of Covid-19. Facilities like senior centers, schools or even private businesses are no longer options over fears that welcoming voters will increase infection risk for others. Millions of Americans will vote by mail this year, in part to avoid going to in-person voting locations, but that isn't helping city and county clerks who are facing Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidance to maintain or even increase the number of polling places they staff on Election Day to maintain social distancing. The guidance explicitly states: "Unless there is no other option, do not increase the number of potential registered voters assigned to each polling place." https://www.cnn.com/2020/09/03/politics/2020-election-coronavirus-voting-locations-trnd/index.html -

Should absentee ballots be illegal?
ALF replied to Warren Zevon's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
In NY it's a felony to make a false statement applying for the mail in ballot , attempt to cast an illegal ballot , or help anyone to cast an illegal ballot Each person must apply for themselves. This is from a county BOE website. -
Once Sanu is off the books , NE* will have $41M cap space , they have options as they say https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/new-england-patriots/cap/

Good to see enough police on Hertel both times to keep it peaceful.

Is anyone else less invested in this season than normal?
ALF replied to Cal's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We will see how a lack of preseason conditioning and practice goes. No preseason games , will covid take out key players during season , will there be more or less injuries due to this major change in preparation. -
In 2020 we'll take any good news we can get?

Why is Marcel Dareus still a free agent?
ALF replied to Brennan Huff's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If he is interested in playing and recovered from his surgery his agent would be working the phones. At the least he could be a space eater DT -
The US needs to talk about long-term coronavirus symptoms, a doctor and a patient say Doctors baffled by Covid-19 'long hauler' patients 03:49 (CNN)It's been almost five months since Shelby Hedgecock tested positive for Covid-19, and the former personal trainer said her symptoms are still debilitating. Hedgecock is among patients who call themselves "long-haul survivors" -- those who experience symptoms long after testing positive. And long-term effects like theirs need to be taken seriously, a doctor researching these symptoms told CNN on Monday night. Covid-19 can be a prolonged illness, even among young adults without underlying chronic medical conditions, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported in July. Hedgecock first tested positive in April. And though she tested negative in May, she is still having neurological issues, cognitive issues, shortness of breath, chest pain, loss of smell and body aches and pains that send her to her bed for days if she participates in even gentle yoga, she told CNN. https://www.cnn.com/2020/09/01/health/long-haul-coronavirus-doctor-patient/index.html
