At least the Bills will get a 3rd comp pick next year depending on FAs that come here . I don't see a run for a WC this season , player turnover , new coaches , playbooks. It's the start of a rebuild jmo

Corey Davis, widely seen as one of the top two receivers in the class, had ankle surgery last month and will not participate LB Reuben Foster, viewed as a first-round prospect, recently had rotator cuff surgery and is on a four-month rehabilitation program. Malik Hooker, forecast as a top 10 pick, is also going to miss the Combine workouts due to core muscle and hip surgeries Fournette expected to run He was hampered by a low and high ankle sprain and a bone bruise in his foot all through the 2016 campaign Ryan Ramczyk, considered the best offensive tackle in the class, is also won’t be on the field at the Combine following hip surgery for a torn labrum http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-1/5-things-to-know-about-the-2017-NFL-Combine/d2d28a4f-3058-4ed8-b339-acb6820812fd

NFL Combine List: Chad Kelly Not Invited
ALF replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It would be ironic if the Bills do not draft Chad but NE takes him in the 7th rd and he develops there into the next franchise QB after Brady. I would take him with our late 5th rd pick. jmo The Bills passed on another hometown player named R. Gronk . Mack would have been good here also after watching him at UB -
My sources- Lesean McCoy will no longer be a Buffalo Bill

Curious what trade Philly would offer for Shady. -
Once a Bill , Kamar Aiken is a FA , 6'2'' , 75 catches for 944 yards in 2015. Easier for Taylor to see him http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/7097/kamar-aiken

A large signing bonus for Gilmore could lessen his cap hit the next 2 seasons at least. I think it will be up to McD whether to keep him just like Taylor.

Taylor will be an expensive bridge . I would have preferred making Rick Wagner a offer he can't refuse at RT jmo Brian Hoyer is a pretty good quarterback. Not a good backup quarterback, a good starting quarterback. It's also not like the Bills would be making an even swap by adding Hoyer and getting rid of Tyrod Taylor. Hoyer's price tag will come at a much more reasonable rate, probably around 5-7 million per year on a one or two year deal. This will allow Buffalo to sign ( or re-sign) a solid to above average starter with the additional cap room. http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2017/2/24/14735382/brian-hoyer-is-actually-pretty-good

The Role of Safeties in McDermott's Defense
ALF replied to cover1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Malik Hooker**, S, Ohio State Height: 6-2. Weight: 205. Projected 40 Time: 4.47. Projected Round (2017): Top-10 Pick. 2/11/17: WalterFootball.com was first to report that Hooker would be out 4-6 months after surgeries to repair a hernia and labrum injury. That could cause Hooker to slide some in the first round and maybe not be the first safety selected. https://walterfootball.com/draft2017S.php -
"The height is the height. This is how God made me. My hands are this size. I can't really control that." He's listed at 6-3 and 215 pounds, and there's been speculation about, yes, his hands being too small. http://sportsday.dallasnews.com/college-sports/collegesports/2017/02/20/clemson-qb-deshaun-watson-dares-nfl-teams-doubt-size-god-made Report that Trubisky is too short , now this. Combine will tell the tale of the tape.

Shady has a cap hit of $8.875M in 2017 and dead money of $7.875M , would not make sense to trade him to me, http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/lesean-mccoy-5916/ -
Reggie is a MLB , run stuffer, Preston Brown is also and still on rookie contract. Give Reggie enough time to recover from knee injury then decide if Preston needs to be traded before deadline or not.

Should the Bills cut Kyle Williams to clear cap space?
ALF replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
great answer -
I guess we would have to settle for a good draft pick in 2018 then. Time to gamble jmo

Steelers view Landry Jones as elite backup Feb 15 - 8:57 PM http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/7446/landry-jones We know what Taylor can do , I would gamble on Landry to start here until Cardale or another drafted QB can out play him. Then we at least would have Landry as a good backup. Money saved by letting Taylor go , try for Rick Wagner at RT

CB Alterraun Verner - potential Bills FA target
ALF replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would rather draft a CB . This looks like a good year for that position. Taller and cheaper jmo -
NFL Combine List: Chad Kelly Not Invited
ALF replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Chad is over confident and wound tight like his uncle. Jim would not come to Buffalo unless he was a day 1 starter. -
AJ Klein looking for starting opportunity;signing w/ Saints
ALF replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think Zach would be better , depends on there price. AJ is 2 years younger McD would know his potential -

The Six Most-Likely Scenarios for a Bills Trade-Down

Bills met this week about Taylor; it may be up to McDermott
ALF replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My guess is McD plays it safe and stays with Taylor as a bridge , hopefully with a different incentive contract. I would rather let Taylor go to save cap and try to sign Rick Wagner at RT , keep Groy , Z Brown Rick Wagner 'rebuffed' Ravens contract offer Feb 13 - 5:02 PM http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/8575/rick-wagner There was a Wednesday report that the Steelers view Landry Jones as one of the NFL's top backups, so re-signing him appears it will be a priority http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/7446/landry-jones or Hoyer for a cheaper bridge -

Romo to KC rumor could make Bills landing spot for A. Smith
ALF replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Alex would be a great bridge , player trade or reasonable draft pick. KC would be taking a gamble with a fragile Romo , would need Foles as a backup.
