Taylor is a better fit on a running team with a good OL for that. He can see his limitations for the last 2 seasons.

A RFA 2nd rd tender would be $2.81M . Rather have a long term deal , it's up to him, he is good.

I still think McD and Whaley play it safe and keep Taylor as a bridge till Cardale or a drafted QB can outplay him. The best case would be a renegotiated incentive contract or a trade that made sense.

If the Bears do let Cutler go I would think they keep Hoyer as there bridge. Josh McCown was offered a coaching job when released by the Browns He would be a ok bridge and mentor here for a big cap saving, jmo
