Not entirely true. Pretty much everyone and their mother was at their bowl game including John Elway and tons of other GM's and scouts. Also, obviously everyone was at the senior bowl for the whole week and he met with the team then. They also saw him at the combine and met with him there. There will be scouts there at his pro day today and I'm sure the private workout will be in the next few days where they will also take him out to dinner and really get to know him. Maybe they didn't go to any regular season games but that's not really necessary because there's film and all of these other opportunities to see him live as well

knowing Jets would be taking a QB at 6 they could have traded back up to 7 to get a player using some of the picks we gave them. or we could have traded up to 7 as part of a 3 way trade. we were able to offer more than the Jets so it doesn't make sense that they beat us to the punch

In the OP's defense I don't think he meant to say trade for Russel Wilson now because only an idiot would think that was a possibility. He meant to say we should build a time machine and go back to the 2012 draft and select Wilson instead of TJ Graham. That is a far more likely scenario
