It matters that's why he's also a high 1st round pick. As an overall prospect it doesn't tell the whole story though. You have to look at height, weight, pedigree, intelligence, arm strength, offensive system, mechanics, etc. Rosen bests him on most of those things imo and the opinion of many others

He's been #1 to many scouts for a while now but did you watch the combine? He was far and away better than everyone there. He passes the "throws the football well while wearing shorts" test. Not exactly a reason to draft someone but it solidified what a lot of the scouts already thought, that he has a once in a generation arm talent. I don't remember any QB ever putting on a show like that at the combine. All of his throws had the wow factor

He played at the top prep school in the country. Hes been highly recruited since 8th grade.

They both did well in college. If its close and you are wondering which is better the safe bet is the one that has been better his whole life

No offense but Mayfield was a walk on twice for a reason. He has overachived and that's great but Rosen was the top QB in the country coming out of high school for a reason as well. He's the best

Yep, not necessary to have the whole team there like the Broncos did yesterday. Have 1-2 scouts there just to see how things go. If you are interested you will invite him for a pre-draft visit and workout. That's what will be the most telling
