  1. Fanfreakintastic highlight video. Here's another:
  2. I find it worse that fans give up on seasons so very easily. A lot of Bills fans were talking trash during the preseason last year saying we would maybe go 3-13 at best. When we lost to the Chiefs and Dolphins, a large number of people gave up on the Bills again, saying they won't ever have a chance for the playoffs. I find that to be much more disturbing than this. Those fans give up all hope, turned the channel, and abandoned their team before the twelfth hour. The fans you are criticizing are still going to Sabres games to watch their team play when they are freaking 20-46-8 and in dead last place. Those fans would give anything for the Sabres to win, but it isn't happening, and they know it. They were playing against the 2nd worst team in the league, there is no glory or positive coming from winning that game. The fans shouldn't be proud of winning that game, nor should the players. It was a meaningless game to end all meaningless games, and the fans were cheering for the single most positive thing that came from their team losing another game: A promise of a brighter future for their team, so lay off them. This is coming from a guy who dislikes tanking in general.
  3. Are people not reading the thread? This has been disproved multiple times.
  4. Even with Harvin, I am not so sure I would want the Eagles to still be pursuing Woods. I'm not sure what they could give us to make it worth it, but I like our WR's the way they are now. Also Whaley is talking about picking up another veteran WR for depth, so I don't think he is high on letting any of the WRs go either. https://twitter.com/viccarucci/status/581481039907987457?lang=en On the other hand, maybe that means he is going to deal Woods. Who knows.
  5. We should turn this into a Fred Jackson highlight thread haha.

  7. Why does he have to be a top RB to retain him? He does his job very well, and is still doing his job very well. We signed the top RB, but have room behind McCoy for a Jackson type player. Our run game was poor all around last year. We went from 2nd in 2013 to 25th in 2014. The entire offense regressed last year, and it wasn't because Fred was a year older. In 2013 Fred Jackson ranked 34th in the entire league in all purpose yardage which includes all WR's RB's and TE's. You might say 34th is bad, but it is in company with players like Brandon Marshall, Darren Sproles, Frank Gore, Le'Veon Bell, Jordie Nelson. That is not mediocre. You are wrong.
  8. As big as Google is (which may end up being a problem), it is the solution to the other bastard ISP's price gouging, and data caps. Since Google is so entrenched in the internet, it has a vested interest in people actually utilizing the internet for any purpose rather than limiting your access and charging a premium. Are there any data caps on my internet connection? No way! We want you to use and enjoy your broadband or gigabit connections. There are no caps or limits to the amount of data you can send or receive. There needs to be competition, I only wish it would come to Buffalo. It'll be a looooong time before that ever happens though.
  9. I saw someone mentioned the Dolphins/Jets being on bye in week 5, but also remember the Chiefs have a London game Week 8, and therefore will be on bye Week 9. Sigh, offseason cabin fever, I made a chart. And I kind of want to win season tickets. http://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8iZl6wxafbrYkRPTG5KQlFJR1E/view?usp=sharing Blue = AFC Division Opponents Green = AFC East Games Red = NFC Division Opponents Gray = Misc Opponents A few notes - 1. We have had 2 season home openers in the last 5 years, and 3 away season openers. Maybe we have a home season opener this year to even it out? 2. They seem to like to bookend our division games 3. They almost always give us 4 road games in the first 8, and 4 in the last 8. (I know, I know, pretty obvious) 4. There really is no method (or at least pattern) to their madness 5. Just noticed we have been alternating home/away with the Dolphins in December every year. If it follows the trend, Dolphins will be visiting us late in the season.
  10. I don't believe we overpaid on anyone but Clay, and he was a very special circumstance. Hughes signed a team friendly contract. McCoy signed for more guaranteed money, but a lower average cap hit than his original eagles contract (although he didn't have much of a choice) Harvin is making $6 million, which is about the same as the Jets (add in Seattle fronting the signing bonus, and the Jets paid more), and much less than Seattle was paying originally. Felton while making more guaranteed money with the Bills, he is making less as a yearly average. Urbik took a pay cut We certainly paid players to come here, but we didn't overpay.
  11. You forgot Oakland. The AFC North is not the toughest division in the NFL. That is baloney. They had a cake schedule. I'll mail the proof to you in December.
  12. They also ranked us 5th (4th? if Oakland is really just a B) overall. I read through most of them, and they had some pretty good points. They have a serious dislike for DeMarco Murray to the point of congratulating the teams that lost out when they bid for him.
  13. Ah ha, this is what I was looking for. I knew the punt "fumbles" had to be something that wasn't a huge deal, because I don't remember it being detrimental to any of the games. Overall great post though
  14. He was starting rb for half the season while spiller was out and was out a couple games himself. Then there is the line that was a contributing factor that had us going from second in the league in rushing in 2013 to 25th or so in 2014. Add that to the fact that LeSean mccoy is the starting rb, and I have to ask. What's your point? Jackson isn't going to get as many carries and Bryce hasn't shown he can do better with the carries he's given (3.5 yds a carry 0 tds)
  15. I think that if you were honestly interested in judging Fred as a player, you would know where these fumbles happened and how they were detrimental to the team effort. If I had nfl game rewind I'd go back and look and see if these were bad fumbles or not. The fact that you are so willing to dismiss reasoning and go straight for the throat tells me all I need to know about your motives and that this thread should be disregarded.
  16. Bryce had 1 more fumble than Fred in 4 times less carries. That's besides the point that if you are going to criticize someone, try being honest and accurate. Do you have a problem with 0 rushing fumbles? Can you tell me his 2 punt return fumbles? I don't remember them and I feel they might be a statistical anomaly.
  17. Just go look for yourself at nfl.com career stats. Last year he had 0 rushing fumbles. 3 receiving fumbles (0 lost) and 2 punt return fumbles. That equals your 5 fumbles but he had zero rushing fumbles last year. Can someone tell me when Fred fielded punt returns let alone fumbled 2 of them last year?!
  18. Like I said. 15 rushing (0 rushing fumbles last season) 8 receiving (3 last year. 0 lost) 4 kick/punt return Your original post suggest he had 5 rushing fumbles last year. He had 0. If you are including his receiving fumbles, then I suggest you include his receiving stats as well.
  19. Brown 36 carries for 126 yds, 3.5 ypc. 0 tds, 1 fumble, 0 fumbles 2013, 4 fumbles 2012 Fred has 15 fumbles (10 lost) on 1,279 carries over his career Brown has 5 fumbles (4 lost) on 226 carries over his career I'm not blasting anyone, just throwing out stats Edit: Just went to verify your stats and I see 0 rushing fumbles for Fred last year. He had 3 receiving fumbles though (none lost). Care to add his receiving yards into your stats if you are going to include his receiving fumbles? http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/stats/_/id/10195/fred-jackson
  20. Maybe I am not remembering correctly, but wasn't one of the knocks against Fitz that he couldn't throw a 10+ yard ball? That's not to say Cassell could either though.
  21. True, the author laid out a decent case in the article that we might have to make some decisions, but I'm not too worried. However it is nice to know it is an option.
  22. Can't we just restructure Clay next year like we were afraid the Dolphins would do to match?
