  1. Same here. I asked for 5-6 but I could easily fill 10 and not disappoint a couiple people.
  2. Geez, I haven't been able to get tickets for the Home Opener in awhile without going to the secondary market. What are we looking at for this section if we get them, or what was the going price last year?
  3. Couldn't agree more. I do have the Pats MNF game marked as a loss. I may or may not have the rest marked as W's. I know it's crazy, but for every game I can find a justifiable reason why said team is worse this season, or that we beat comparable teams last year, and we've only gotten better. Just couldn't predict the loss....
  4. I agree with that, I think my point was more towards the people who think the Patriots and Colts equal 2 losses right off the bat. If that is true, then we must think we have no chance in the playoffs as well. On the other hand I think both of those teams are beatable whether they have film on us or not.
  5. If we can't beat the colts or patriots in week 1 or 2, how in the world would we beat them in the playoffs?
  6. The QB situation is what it is. They are doing everything possible to alleviate it by getting felton, harvin, clay, incognito, and McCoy. Now we have get a decent draft going, and hope others step up. Not to mention the coaching side of it, and the fact that we have a real offensive coordinator.
  7. I didn't. I'm not sure many will either. None of us would have subjected the Bills to 5/6 road games on our own haha.
  8. Agreed. People quickly forget the nicety of two home games to start, and two home games to end. I love that. That leaves 4 home games to spread over 13 weeks so yeah there will be gaps. I don't think we should make a big deal about the NFC East streak either. At first I was hoping Philly will implode, and the Redskins will still suck, but what's the difference between playing the Philly, Redskins, and Dallas, or Titans, Cinci, and Dallas at the end? We still have to play the hard teams sometime. The biggest concern is the 5/6 away game stretch, but like I said, it comes at the benefit of controlling our destiny at home week 16 and 17, and starting it in week 1 and 2
  9. If you don't mind me asking, where did you get the spiffy helmet icons? I am looking into making a custom desktop wallpaper with the schedule and those might do perfectly. Scratch that, they are linked. Looking forward to this release tonight!
  10. We will see shortly. After last years slew of standard games (plus the thursday game), I am wondering if we will just get the London game plus a Thursday night game. They have been giving us a lot of press lately though, so maybe they see some promise for a primetime game. Crossing my fingers!
  11. You called McCoy worn out and overpaid, prepare for backlash on that which is what most people jumped on you for. These things get to me. We would have all scoffed at the idea that the Bills were going to trade for McCoy before it happened. I picture this: But it happened, and we should be ecstatic and not looking forward 3 years to McCoy's supposedly inevitable downslide. We should be in the moment now, because this is a really good football team.
  12. While I agree with you, and I do not think that Manuel is a foregone conclusion, there is no denying at this moment, we would be better with Rivers. While I don't think we trade for Rivers (Trade price + new contract is way too high), in the unlikely event he hits free agency, we should be willing to consider it. If EJ does well this year, we don't have to worry so much. If he does poorly, Whaley has to look at other options not named Orton, Cassel, and McCown.
  13. These are some awesome memories. Thanks guys. Unfortunately I was a bit young for the super bowl years, but in recent memory I'd have to say even though it ended horribly the 2011 season the first 5 games. First we utterly destroyed the Chiefs. Then we had a nail biter to the finish with the Raiders with a Fitz to Nelson TD to put us over the top. Then of course the come back and shock the Pats game. I went to that game and it was an unforgettable experience. Brady threw 4 picks and the stadium was going mad. Then another nail biter with the Bengals in which we lost. And finally I went to the Eagles game with a group of people and a couple sour "dream team" fans who just couldn't believe they lost to the Bills. Lose another close one with the Giants. Then shutout the Redskins. Then the season went to hell. But it was awesome while it lasted. Shutting out the Patriots 31-0 with Bledsoe in 2003 is up there as well, but is cheapened by the fact they precisely returned the favor at the end of the year by shutting us out 31-0.
  14. Would you at the cost of losing Dareus? Or Gilmore + Glenn? We could extend a Rivers contract to be somewhat cap friendly (if there is such a thing with QBs) while still paying him a large amount. I think Rivers would put this team over the top. If he hits free agency next year, Whaley has to give it some hard thought.
  15. Packers are one of the teams I don't mind seeing in the playoffs. Would have much rather seen them in the Super Bowl than the Seahawks. You guys had that game in the bag . At least you have Super Bowl wins to fall back on from that disappointment. Although I never heard the end of it when the Packers won in 2010-11. My Packer fan friend was constantly reminding me. Can't blame him though since it is the first time they've won since he was an adult. I would love to play you guys in the Superbowl though. It would be a tough game, but a good one nevertheless.
  16. Someone shares my pain. I think it is because he went from 1600 to 1300 yards rushing from '13 to '14. Because you know, 1300 yards is only good for the 3rd best rb in the league last year, but down from 1st in 2013. Wooest us
  17. No problem. You just seem to be confused. The whole reason people wanted them to tank and get last place was because it guarenteed us one of the two. It was always a long shot that we would get McDavid, and people wouldn't be as invested in tanking if it was solely McDavid and the 20% shot. You don't tank for a 20% shot. You tank for the 100% shot at getting 1 of 2 supposed generational talents. Otherwise we end up like the Arizona Coyotes. Which do you think is better for the franchise? As a side note I am not even pro tanking, and even I see the sense in this one. I absolutely despise week 10 in football when people start complaining when the players celebrate winning games and we are 3-6. It ain't over til its over. But this? The GM is in full rebuild mode (which is a legitimate strategy) and the players were still trying. They just aren't very good.
  18. overpaying and worn out? Come on man. LeSean McCoy is currently ranked the 8th highest paid RB for the 2015 cap hit. Average Salary? He is tied for 5th. As for worn out, man you need to revist the last couple McCoy seasons. It was also Whaley's trade. I'm sorry but you are virtually wrong on all points.
  19. Admittedly, I don't follow college hockey at all. Why are people saying that Eichel played against scrubs in the NCAA? Is there any truth to that? I find it hard to believe that NHL talent scouts wouldn't take that into account, so whats the counter to that? If we didn't have last place, we likely wouldn't have Eichel or McDavid.
  20. I guess what I'm saying is that the stats don't represent two evenly matched teams playing 10 times on a neutral field, etc. It has 32 teams over a wide scale of skill, playing each other a number of different amount of times, sometimes with home field advantage, and sometimes without. If it was the former and it showed that then I would agree. I'm with you on it being a minimal advantage, but it is at the very least an advantage. An unnecessary one at that, especially among division games.
  21. I don't think you can look at the percentages. Too many other factors. 2013 they had 5 teams coming off of a BYE or Thurs night game. The Bills also had their own BYE week mitigated by the Falcons playing Thurs the week before. @ Jets - Loss @ Dolphins - Win Jets - Win @ New Orleans - Loss Falcons - Loss @ Jaguars - Win 3 of our 6 division match ups had extra resting time and 37% of our games that year. While I don't believe it had playoff implications, we did only go 6-10, and this wasn't the reason. What if it did though? What if it was this past year and we beat the falcons and we are in the playoffs, and they are the 6th team we played with extra rest. I consider that unfair. It's up to the team to ultimately win on their own, but this isn't necessary.
  22. Thats the thing though. You've got all the Thursday Night games layed out because every team gets one. Throw in the Monday night games and the formula should still work. Have a computer determine (like these researchers did) how many "extra rest" games these teams are going up against. If one team has 5, and another had 0, then switch a few things around until everyone has a nice even 3 or a margin of error of + or - one. It shouldn't ever be as bad as 5-0. Edit: They can have their cake and eat it too in this case. I think they are just being lazy about it, and haven't put a great deal of thought into this as they have tv ratings. That's just my ill informed opinion though.
  23. Why not introduce the 40 or so nationally televised games as constants while building the schedule, and then introduce the formula that is supposed to make it fair? I mean they already know who is playing who, so it should be fairly easy to highlight the "big" games. Just want them to release the schedule already! Something to look at while we wait.
