Next thing you know, people will be investigating why the government is paying for those proud to be a Marine commercials. Shouldn't these networks just be willing to do it on their own? Edit: I think people are just mad because they themselves were hoodwinked into thinking it was something genuine. However, you don't need the NFL's charity to make it genuine to yourself.

Something in the Water in San Fran?
What a Tuel replied to MattM's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My one niner fan friend seems to have a grudge against him because he supposedly made the wrong call in the super bowl or something. I think it is just looking for someone to blame. -
Does anyone really think this was some vanity thing by the military to tote their officers around and get people to be proud of them? It was a recruitment tool to inspire a target audience at best. At the very least it was a tool to garner support for the military. Both things are not bad for the military, and are useful to the military. It was a calculated cost.

Selling Tickets to Opposing Fans
What a Tuel replied to Metal Man's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I posted the first preseason game on there because I can't go, I'll be on a fishing trip. I don't know if anyone will buy them, but they are there on the exchange. I'm not a preferred vendor. Maybe it is a preseason thing. -

Data caps ruined the functionality of phones, and given the same quarter they will ruin the functionality of home internet. When possible they should be opposed on all fronts. If the provider cannot support so many customers then they should not have that many customers. It is utter BS to lower the quality of service for your customers, because you don't have the infrastructure to support them. This pisses me off quite a bit. -

I love that show. On another note this pic looks familiar https://twitter.com/viccarucci/status/606102538648211458 Can't find last years argument pic though. I swear there was one. -

Last year Philly kept running Polk (4) and Sproles (6) in red zone situations which is why McCoy's TD's (5) went down last year. I can see that happening here as well. Hard to tell with the coach change though. -
AP really cosidering retiring due to contract standoff?

My notification said "Adrian Peterson plans to ret....." I can't get past the fact that they did that on purpose to get me to click on it. If it was "Adrian Peterson is return...." I wouldn't have clicked on it. -

Haha, I also had Stafford, after that first game against the giants, when he connected with megatron like 3 times I was so pumped because I had them both. The rest of the season was soooooo very disappointing but just good enough for me to inevitably start him week after week. That was the one league I didn't make the playoffs. Man I am really down on him now. Maybe I will take another shot if he falls. You are right about Rivers though. We will have to see how they utilize Gordon in his rookie year. -

This year feels like it'll be tougher than others. Last year I grabbed Beckham in all 3 leagues about 2 weeks before he got back (right before Cruz got injured) and he took me to 2 championships (1 win, 1 loss). This year, I am going to let people overdraft him. With Cruz back, he will still get big targets, and will still generate tons of points, but it won't be the 11 targets a game he is used to getting. stud? Maybe it is obvious, but since ESPN has him ranked as the 13th QB under Tannehill, 12 game Brady, I will say with his fresh new RB, and stevie johnson, he will be better than last year. Seriously, how can ESPN project Brady to have 20 more points than last year with 4 less games? In that case he will have to raise his points per game from 16.68 to 23.91. I know people think he will be playing mad, but really? -
Led the team in first downs last year. That's enough for me. If you watch his film last year, offensively he is a large part of why we went 9-7. (1 game we know for sure) Brown? Can be narrowed down to the very reason we didn't make the playoffs. Maybe it's because we gave something up for him, but geez, he hasn't done enough to warrant such a high ceiling. He had a good game against Chicago, and Oakland in 2013 to make him just barely get over the yards per carry of Dixon this year.

Garoppolo and Brady split reps at Patriots OTAs

Sorry, but deserving or not, he brings a stigma of cheating to anything we accomplish. Pass on Brady. -
McCoy contract good/bad? Will he last?

Oh yeah, that is true. I guess the optimist in me thinks we will get a solid year before we know he is going to decline -

Nice stats. Also worth noting is that the cap hit for releasing him if his production does decline at 30 is $5.2 million, and decreases to $2.6 if we had to cut him at 31. Just for a comparison, we got hit with a dead cap $3m in 2013, and $7m in 2014, when we cut Fitzpatrick in 2013. Sure, different situation, but I find this to be a much more acceptable risk, and a better chance for a far greater reward. -
Stevie Johnson signs with Chargers

I think they had a few dozen 4ths to spare. I kid, but seriously, they practically doubled their drafts the last two years. http://www.nfl.com/draft/history/fulldraft?teamId=4500&type=team (Those were the picks they didn't trade away i.e. Stevie) -

Sad for me. His life on the practice squad sustained me, but now it might be over. -
NFL gives Brady/Pats an asterisk*
What a Tuel replied to BillsInMaine's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That is lame and disingenuous. If Montana was coddled like Brady, he might've played as long as Brady. Or if Steve Young wasn't at his heels. Like I have said before, Brady was caught cheating himself. Then in addition, his team was caught cheating. On top of that, they screwed the Raiders out of a shot. That team is all out of breaks. -

You call that lame and disingenuous? But you fight tooth and nail to protect the patriots* from their actions? Gimme a break. -
Group ticket purchase for 2015 home opener / TBDAHOT
What a Tuel replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This person in chat just gave me the following: 1960-1989 on Monday ... 1991-2009 on Tuesday ... 2010-2013 Wednesday ... 2014-2015 Thursday. "Right, as with anything. The person that calls first will get the better seats. You couldn't wait an hour or so just because you have a better seniority date. Phone lines open at 9 AM and calls are taken as they come in." That said, if anyone is willing to snatch 2 tickets for me in section 310 row 37 seats 26-31 (Thats right in front of my seasons spot, and probably won't be quickly bought out since it is nosebleed territory) I'd be eternally grateful. It will likely be sold out before it ever gets to me, and I promised my nephew i'd get him a ticket. Otherwise, it is to the ticket exchange with me. -

I did confirm via live chat that it is based on seniority the first few days. I asked how it works, but the guy abandoned me I think. How exactly does that work? Will there be tiers or groups? I don't see how they can base it on seniority without having windows in which season ticket holders grouped by seniority can buy. -

It's a good thing the whole trade idea was a brilliant ploy to free him up to go to San Diego and come back to Buffalo with Rivers in tow. -
Bills' Organized Team Activities: May 26-29
What a Tuel replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thank you for this. I hate snippets of quotes. I should know better, but sometimes I just accept that was what was said rather than looking it up myself. I know Twitter has a word limit, and I know you get by in the media by basically throwing out click bait, but geez. -
Yeah this is kind of how I feel. I'm also conflicted on how these points won't be so rounded now. Such as 14-10, instead it could be 14-11 or possibly 16-11. Kind of makes a world of difference. Maybe makes it more exciting to be able to tie, maybe it makes it less exciting because there may be more winning field goals. I wonder if they actually put some time and effort into examining this aspect. Especially if the league splits on what they prefer, to kick or to go for it. Maybe it is all in my head, but I think it will definitely impact the way we look at the end game. We shall see. I see what you are saying. Just hard for me to see it applied in the game. We shall see though.
