  1. Good Stuff, DSB! I wonder if Siran Neal shouldn't get some more time at Nickel in this game. He plays fierce, and might be our best option at spying Murray? Also, Klein needs another performance like he had vs. Seattle. No way he's fast enough to get to Murray if he gets past the LOS, but he could be critical in keeping Murray contained if he can get the sort of penetration he did on Sunday. Also, this may be a game where Trent Murphy makes an impact (that's right, I said it). I could also see Poyer becoming very intimate with Murray. As long as we don't let him break up the middle. Honestly, I do worry that our D does not match up well vs. Murray. All our struggles have been vs. teams with a balanced offense, and the Cards' air raid offense notwithstanding, they do run a comparatively even balance of run vs. pass plays. As McD says, the hardest offenses to defend are the one's that use the entire field. I think our best chance is to keep Murray contained the way we did Wilson.
  2. I was a little surprised at the time, as well. But, two things struck me: 1) I completely trust Diggs' instincts, and if he thought there were no more yards to gain there, then that's his decision. We've seen him fight for yards, and put his body on the line enough to know he's no coward. And 2) Thank you, Diggs for protecting your body. If there's one guy on offense (other than Allen) that we want to remain as healthy as possible, it's Diggs. So, yeah. Smart football.
  3. If Ralph Wilson were alive today, he would be 102. How hypothetical do we want this conversation to be?
  4. I believe they rushed to the line to get the Seahawks D off balance, which was the right call, assuming the refs git their call right-- which at the moment, it really did look like Davis had stepped out of bounds. It was only on slo-mo replay, a play later, that you could see that he had not dropped his heel, and was inbounds. But, even with that, there is no guarantee that the call would have been reversed. It was very close.
  5. Interesting that Klein's first good game with us was against a team that had virtually no running game. Even Wilson barely ran. But, when we signed him, he was billed as a "run stuffer." I have to believe that McD is reevaluating Klein's role in this defense.
  6. This D seems to have formed their identity.
  7. Big props to the backup O-linesmen Bates, and Boettger. They were not stellar, and it took them a couple series to get their legs. But, it's not easy coming off the bench like that, and once they found their stride, they looked better than some of the starting units we've fielded in season's past. In fact, I think Boettger had a couple nice run blocks. You need some coffee.
  8. Edmunds and Klein's best game of the season!
  9. Don't take your foot off the gas, Daboll!
  10. Time for an Isaiah McKenzie end-around.
  11. They should get Nsekhe out there, and move Williams in to G.
  12. Please, please, please, Daboll, don't take your foot off the gas. BUT... keep Russel Wilson off the field!
  13. I'm actually thinking that we will see our most balanced offense to date this season. It has yet to happen that either run plays, or pass plays don't significantly outnumber the other. Certainly, with their depleted running backs, and Wilson, and their WRs playing the way they are, it isn't hard to predict the 'Hawks game plan. TOP is going to be an important factor in this game IMO, and with the recent emergence of our run game, as well as the return of Mongo, I think our run game will play an important role in that. I will say that I was surprised to see Lee inactive. But, Knox is back.
  14. Boettger gets backed up every play the defender doesn't get around him.
  15. When Klein was signed, the sales pitch stated that he was a "run stuffer" for the Saints. After the signing, I went back to Game Pass, and watched the three Saints' games in which he had the greatest statistical impact, and I thought he looked like the bum that he is. All that notwithstanding, he does seem to make two, or three decent plays a game (much in the way Murphy does) that make you wonder if, perhaps, he has it in him to put in four quarters of serious effort, up his game, and have an impactful day? I have quipped several times that I am confident that Klein will finish the season without sustaining so much as a bruised pinky. BUT-- could this be the game that he really puts himself out there? I have to believe there are a lot of eyes on him in the Bills organization today.
  16. Gronkowsky's was worse, IMO. Mimm's punches really didn't have a lot of potential for concussion. Gronk's was straight up savage-- full body-weight with his braced arm. Brutal. I'm fine with two games, especially since Gardner-Johnson had poked Miller's face right before. Clearly, Gardner-Johnson is a douche. He should be fined for that action.
  17. No disguised coverages??? I think I posted this about you in another thread: I think you have an identification disorder similar to dyslexia, where you think you are watching an entirely different team. I'm not sure what team you're actually watching, but it's not the Bills.
  18. I think there are several posters on here who will be quite pleased with themselves for every loss, and smugly proclaiming their superior football IQs.
  19. Here's an interesting stat: The Eagles currently lead their division with a record of 2-4-1, and -33 net points.
