  1. The submarine was in water that they measured at 6000 feet deep, not necessarily 6000 feet under water.
  2. I thought, with EA getting exclusive rights, they dumped Madden...?
  3. He was arguing there was time for one more sideline throw...a bit of a stretch, but that gets back to how conservative you want to be...
  4. Don Banks blames Levy for not going for one more short pass: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2005/writ...ex.html?cnn=yes
  5. Fear the songbird!
  6. I think I remember going to that site before, and I could have swore that there was a hilarious one there involving a Barney doll or something.....can't find it though...
  7. "Final Score: 10. You are the coolest of cool. Fonzie looks up to you."
  8. ...and Elrond, Gollum (yeah, I know...still need the actor to do at least the voice work) and the Sackville-Bagginses.
  9. Simmons does a lot of behind-the-scenes stuff. IIRC, he basically runs the Kiss business. Behind the tongue and the fake blood is a guy with a lot of business savvy.
  10. I hear ya, Fez, EXCEPT my wife and I really dig "The Amazing Race." It doesn't have that "someone's secretly trying to make you lose" element to it, but it has a lot of the same excitement without having to stoop to a lot of lame stuff. You learn a bit about the places they go to as well....
  11. I prefer the Rankin-Bass version, myself. "Where there's a whip<crack>...there's a way!" "Frodo of the nine fingers....and the ring of dooooom." Had friends over to watch extended version of ROTK. Nice to watch on the 55" TV.
  12. Here I clicked on it expecting some off the wall quote from The Demon on Artificial Intelligence...seriously!
  13. The rule states that once the #3 goes in, the #1 and #2 cannot go back in, with the exception of the 4th Q. If you wait until then to put the #3 QB in, then the #1/#2 QB's can return. So they always waited until the 4th Q to put Losman in....
  14. No, and even if I did there's a difference between believing someone is something bad and stating it as fact. One is personal opinion, the other, if false, is libel. I personally don't care for Travis. I think he's a punk. But I've never met him, so I know I'm only going by snippets of what I've seen of him. But it's not like if he passed by me in the mall, that I'd pull my daughters closer to me...
  15. Oh, I love it, the person who will refer to Travis Henry as a pedophile at every available opportunity is now calling others "judgemental dopes." This is priceless.
  16. Okay, instead of "what would you have done," I ask how do you think that TD could have handled the hypothetical above. Same questions as before, as that was what I was responding to. If he had done nothing, there would have been ZERO dead money but we would be short one of the signings....TV perhaps? Villerial? Who?
  17. Did you see the "Henry for Fiedler trade" idea yesterday....? This is up there...
  18. And who would you have not signed last year with the $3.5 Million the new contract saved off the cap? And I'm guessing you are assuming they would have chosen the $2M buy-out in November rather than the $7M option bonus, which granted the way the season started out would have been the case.
  19. They work a loophole in the tax code. Apparently you don't need to pay taxes if you lease your house out for less than 15 days, so they "lease" the property for whatever the amount is....it could lead to troubles...we'll see... http://64.233.161.104/search?q=cache:00PlG...+loophole&hl=en
  20. Wow, how many years of posts on this message board, heck, how many great analyses of football, and an off-topic one-liner is the BEST POST EVER?
  21. He's the Fox desk guy, duh!
  22. He can't, or he didn't sing well yesterday? Big difference. It's like judging the Patriots by the "Miami embarassment." He did get the job during the regular season based on his performance at the auditions, unlike some mentioned here who get the job based on their merits as a celebrity. He did get a lot of positive comments by people after his regular season performances of said anthem, which were done without any sort of introduction saying "this is Timmy. Be nice to him because he's disabled." I wouldn't expect you to be so ignorant as to categorize a person's talents based on one performance, so I expect you've heard him sing on other occasions as well....
  23. I give two flying figs and a rat's tuckus...
  24. No, it wasn't, it was live. From what I understand about the kid, if he had been allowed the opportunity to pre-record and lip-synch along at the game (a la Whitney), he would have nailed it, without having to hide behind "one of these notes ought to be the right one"-style vibrato.... Read this story to better understand... http://64.233.161.104/search?q=cache:2Gm3J...al+anthem&hl=en
  25. Buddy Hackett was fun when he was on too....always had a joke he couldn't repeat on air, but he'd try....
