  1. Well, it is as much "looking for advice" as plain old venting about a situation. As such, I wouldn't call this a LAMP myself. At least judging from responses, that's how this thread has turned, and as such it can be useful to anyone who has "issues" with their bosses...
  2. Should we pin this as the textbook example of what's best suited for a blog?
  3. Nope, the season ended the day after the Super Bowl. Nothing happens after that to affect the stats, W/L records, etc, just roster. Even the NFL says so in its now-yearly "The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow" ad.
  4. Trust me, you don't want to know anything about Mike Schopp's butt.
  5. Oh, know. Ewe two? Its to bad.
  6. Not going to fix the regular barrage of homonym errors though.
  7. Obscure celebrity, but celeb nonetheless... http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/050222/latu091_1.html I remember catching his ramblings at times late at night. Back in the day when the TV had a separate UHF dial, and there's was a difference between UHF and VHF.... Not your everyday televangelist, that's for sure... RIP, Dr. Scott.
  8. That's what you kids are calling it these days...?
  9. I do keep an open mind, and I do believe. It's the person I was responding to who doesn't believe in anything he can't see, hear or touch.
  10. If he were, he wouldn't be trying to simplify everything down to :1 or 1: odds, he'd be looking to do 3:4 instead of 0.75:1 ....
  11. Well, quality and volume of sound are not necessarily the same. That said, are the two options from the same manufacturer? Watts-per-channel, at least in home audio, is a deceiving measure. It may seem cut-and-dried, but the way the companies vary in their means of deriving wattage that it doesn't necessarily related to actual decibels produced by the sound system. If they come from the same manufacturer, the 45 will be louder than the 35, but I can't imagine a company putting out a system that will not be audible in a standard car (with a working muffler... ).
  12. This was brought up before. I speculated it was a coach who studied film of the Bills and put together a "play book" around it. Reverse engineered, as it were. The only thing that might be illegal about it is if it's not officially licensed by the NFL it could be a trademark infringement. Judging from the other products he sells, though, this might be a legit product.
  13. Congrats to the Berg family!
  14. Why do you even consider the possibility that it's true? There's no evidence that you can see, hear or feel....just someone's "word" about what happened, so it must not be true.
  15. If you're talking income tax, they use a tax loophole. My understanding of it is that you can lease your property for a short period (I believe it's a week) tax-free. There's no limitation on the $$ figure...They "lease" the property from the recipient for some ungodly sum ($250K, I think).
  16. The cowbell brigade should Check 'em out!
  17. See there is something funnier than a guy getting hit in the nuts. It's a guy getting hit in the nuts by a cute kid.
  18. ...and nothing less funny than being the guy that took the hit. How many seasons has America's Funniest Home videos thrived on cute kids/animals and guys getting hit in the nuts?
  19. Tell that to Tampa Bay, San Jose, and Calgary. They managed to make their respective conference finals despite the fact that Philly, Detroit, NY managed to spend at least twice as much. Heck, Nashville made the playoffs despite an NHL low $22M in team salary...Don't you think taking $30 mil out of their payroll levels things much better?
  20. For one thing, the team salary for the sabres was heading into the high 30's this off-season. For another, it isn't mandatory that teams spend the cap amount. What it will do is bring the Red Wing, Rangers, etc down closer to our salary level. If the two teams with salaries under $40M can go to the Stanley Cup in 2004 without a cap, what do you think the chances are with a cap?
  21. Mark responded within the context of Marc's note. Marc, I had a feeling that the feeling of catharsis you had in sending the note would be undone by the frustration his response would create. Let me see if I have Mark Weiler's comments right (in red: Dear Sir, I understand you have a job to do and have the right of freedom of expression as granted in the First Amendment, but do you have to take such as sarcastic and demeaning position on changes that are being made. Yes, it's the way I write! There is a difference between voicing an opinion and making a mockery of people with the writing of that opinion. You owe Drew Bledsoe and Tom Donahue an apology for the degrading terms you have used to describe them. I owe them nothing! They owe us as fans, some serious apologies for their negligent or utterly sub par performances, both of them! You are welcome as much to your opinion as I am the right to voice mine, the difference between us is that I place civility, respect and human dignity as paramount principals versus the cheap low blow you seem to find sophmorishley funny. Has someone been forcing you to read my work Marc? If so, please let me know. I'll get on them immediately. May you read these words and consider if you want to be a respected journilist or a hate generating voicepiece for the loyal followers of the Bills. I am an independent analyst with a better track record during Donadope's tenure than ANYONE covering the Bills. If you want to read elsewhere, then feel free. It's a free country. That's the nice thing about living in the states. There are plenty of other options for you Marc! ; ) Thank you for the opportunity to voice my opinion. Again, a free country, and yes, I'll defend your right to speak your mind as well!!! Your welcome!!! Marc Kryjewski Mark Weiler BillsReport.com Cuttin' Thru the Bull on the Bills!
  22. Who let the Steelers' troll in? Happy Birthday, Big Guy.
  23. To keep you from doing exactly what you are doing. Part of the networks' "War on TIVO..."
  24. I was just about to say that new parents ought to feel safer that there's one less baby-eater in Buffalo....
  25. Well, based on what Rubes said, yes you do. But based on what you just said, I guess not....
