  1. Don't forget their 3rd CB and kick returner. Oh, and Ty Law was an LB? Still echo Darin's comments, I'm just sayin'....
  2. RJ Fad=RJ ? RJ Fad=R. Rich just doesn't have the same vibe...
  3. So...no more laughing at RJ? Oh, Internet jokes...
  4. Don't forget team MVP Moorman. Signed through 2009.
  5. Ummm, he keeps himself well stocked with Smelling Salts, and he's willing to share them?
  6. No, because what he's saying is that the Bills are unwilling to pay big dollars for the players he wanted us to keep.
  7. Where do you get "a boatload of cash?" Do you know what New England's offer was, beyond the fact that it was higher than Baltimore's? His contract with Baltimore pays less on average than what New England was due to pay Troy Brown this year. While the contract was by no means a pittance, by "first couple of days of free agency" perspective it's rather small for a receiver...don't you think?
  8. It's not as much people wanting players to come in to help, it's those that insist that we are DOOOOMED unless we sign player X. Oh, and last I checked, Kansas City didn't make the playoffs last year either.
  9. I take it you think he would have helped better than Villarial? It's not like we had the money to sign them both...Or would you have signed him instead of Vincent? The one player I remember we absolutely needed was Woody...
  10. Don't worry. There will be at least three people who come into this thread, take the topic seriously, ignoring your actual content, and tell you that it's not the end of the world that we went 24 hours without signing someone...
  11. Where's the "started on a 3 week bender" option?
  12. Read it again. 13 (total) - 6 (bonus) = 7. 7/3 = $2.33/year and a $6M bonus. Still too much, I wish him luck, and glad he's at least out of the conference.
  13. I would tend to agree. It's not like a replacement is suddenly going to appear and be able to do your job, so it sounds like it would be in their interests to keep you on even if the first impulse would be to send you on your way... But don't sue me after you take my advice and get 30 minutes to clean out your desk...
  14. Wasn't he just saying he wanted to do system stress testing before the draft?
  15. Repeat after me: "F5 is my friend."
  16. Seems like I can get a "Hugh Jass" jersey too...
  17. So I guess they don't plan on being busy with "other" updates later this week....?
  18. Well, you know, he's one of those pencil-necked geeks who has never played a down in his life but somehow has decided to annoint himself "King of all Football Knowledge."
  19. Besides that, JP and RJ are more alike than different. California surfer dudes who look really impressive in practice but whose playing styles lead to injuries....? Why, I think it would be a seamless transition...
  20. ...or a running game, or special teams.....
  21. To Drive Bills....out of town.... ?
  22. Well, seeing as though my name has some pop culture references I've heard plenty of Daniel-San and Danno (got a guy at work who occasionally greets me with "Book 'em"). There was always Danny, which I resisted of course when I hit the teen years. Then I learned people are going to call you what they are going to call you. In high school there was "Madman Dan," but it was as much a persona as a nickname. Sprinkle in the occasional "Dan the Man" or, rarely, "Danimal." On the most part, other than Danny, none were really nicknames per se, it's just variants that people would use on occasion. Though I took some grief for it, didn't earn many nicks based on my last name. Occasionally, someone would call me "Grossman" or "Grossburger," but those would be the "guy at the copier" types.
  23. If he was smart, he'd have insurance to cover the potential career-ending injury. Most high-round picks do. Otherwise, they wouldn't go near these beauty pageants.
