I know Elizabeth Berkeley was being sought for questioning....

Oh, yeah, and Screech. One of those Hollywood Heroin parties...

If you're looking to get "away," I'd suggest St. John. Estate Concordia to be precise: http://www.maho.org/Estate.cfm You have to be able to live without TV/radio, and live with the only phone being a pay phone. But it was bliss. We split our honeymoon. Spent a few days at Disney World to release the stress and then went to St. John to just chill...worked out well.

That's a ridiculous stretch. If she could be spoon-fed (if she could actually swallow...and several tests were performed to verify she can't), we would not be having this discussion.

Regardless what the award was, he received (after attorney's fees, etc) $300K, and $750K went into the trust account. This is listed under "Facts About the Case" in the 3rd GAL's report. I really suggest you put down the hot pocket and take the time to at least peruse it. http://jb-williams.com/ts-report-12-03.htm

I read the report provided by the 3rd GAL from December of 2003, and in it he states: 1.) Michael received $300K, with $750K going into a trust for Terri's care (other records I have seen concur with that number, I don't know where you come up with $600K), 2.) The 2nd GAL, when claiming that Michael may have had financial motivations for petitioning for her feeding tube removal, failed to mention that Michael had "formally offered to divest himself entirely of his financial interest in the guardianship estate." If there was reasonable expectation that a financial conflict of interest was behind Michael's petition. Further, Michael has been offered millions by a variety of folks to walk away. I can't believe you sit here saying it's about money...

What's up with the WGR web site?

Something tells me Mr. Clutch will know... -
My understanding is that the "real" limit is 12 months (per some reading: http://www.transamericareinsurance.com/ass...ticle.asp?Id=58 ), but it is certainly less than 15 years. Says a lot about the care she was given by the neglectful husband that she has lasted past the high end of 10 years of life that PVS patients are expected to survive.

Well, based on that comment, if we could move the thread to BZ, we would...

Oh, and by the way, it was Terri's family who told him to "move on," even as they were getting along and providing cooperative care...

A couple of resources I found to be enlightening: A timeline of events: http://www.miami.edu/ethics2/schiavo/timeline.htm A report given to Gov. Bush: http://jb-williams.com/ts-report-12-03.htm Many tid-bits not discussed here or mis-stated: -- Terri's parents petitioned to have Schiavo removed as guardian in 1993. The GAL's findings were that "His demanding concern for her well being and meticulous care by the nursing home earned him the characterization by the administrator as 'a nursing home administrator's nightmare'." (Hardly "ignoring her."). --Many top doctors have reviewed the case. This isn't a "his word" vs. "their word" case. There has been no evidence that Terri has shown any neural activity beyond reflex response, and there's no evidence to suggest that any treatment can improve her condition. --Terri's family encouraged Schiavo to move on and to date, this encouragement happening before the rift that started appearing after the lawsuit was settled. --Pusuant to his request to have the feeding tube removed, a second GAL was appointed. It was this GAL who hinted that Schiavo might have financial motivations behind the move, but this GAL failed to note that Schiavo "had earlier, formally offered to divest himself entirely of his financial interest in the guardianship estate." I think the concluding paragraph of the report says a lot: "The Schindlers and the Schiavos are normal, decent people who have found themselves within the construct of an exceptional circumstance which none of them, indeed, few reasonable and normal people could have imagined. As a consequence of this circumstance, extensive urban mythology has created toxic clouds, causing the parties and others to behave in ways that may not, in the order of things, serve the best interests of the ward." I readily suggest reading the report. It's long, but it details the scrutiny that this case has been under from the beginning. These aren't random decisions being made in this case...

Why don't you call her the "Jill to be named later..." Congrats, Unc!

Rabbit Stew? -
Well, duh. Free lifetime seasons plus airfare from wherever B happens to be living, plus a $1,000,000 yearly stipend to be a "player evaluation consultant." In this role, all B needs to do is post on the Wall. They will read his input from there... Oh, and whatever players B recommend will be willing to play for the Bills for league minimum. And that they've worked out a deal with Tags such that the next four seasons will be scripted with Bills Super Bowl victories. I mean, gee, what would you want to hear?

Bills wanted DeMulling, but...

Yeah, and how many Super Bowls have the Colts and Chargers been to with the genius GM's they "stole" from the Bills? -
Did he yell at anybody for not listening/cutting in line/bringing too many items/bringing a #7 Flutie jersey? Just wondering if you got any first-hand accounts of his leadership capability?

Try to be aware of registered sex offenders
Dan Gross replied to LabattBlue's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm glad NYS has a registry. We get notified if someone on the registry moves into the neighborhood. We received one once. Then we received another notice when he moved out. JFTR, he was having consensual sex with a 15 YO when he was 18 or 19. They listed him as a low-level risk. Horrible what happened. There's not a punishment that's appropriately painful for this guy. -
I've been in the hospital all week...

Best wishes to you and your family Mike. -
Yeah, my understanding is that he received $300K from the lawsuit and $750K went into a trust to pay for Terri's care. According to MSNBC, he was offered $1M to step aside... It's tough because it's clear there are many issues with the husband, but on the other hand it would be torture for her to be left in this state if it was against her wishes. Moral of the story: no matter how young you are, get your wishes known and in writing. My wife and I didn't think about it until we were getting ready to have our first child, but we have it done now, thankfully.

V.Coach-At the request of the County
Dan Gross replied to Kent14's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
key words: defer and portion. Could be $1, could be $1,000,000. It's interest free, but the county still has to pay that portion at some point... -
JP Losman will be in Rochester on Sunday!

What's he going to be doing there while the rest of the team is in Rochester for Training Camp? -
I'm still trying to figure out the OT "rules." Is it every other day that OT is OK? 2 OT topics, then 1 on-topic? 5 OT then the obligatory "stop the OT...?" No one but "B"?

I went trolling and this is what I found...
Dan Gross replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I thought the problem wasn't receivers dropping the ball, it was the QB who couldn't deliver the ball to the right place...? And didn't we fix that?
