  1. When it was getting toward the end and they made it look like it was between Jon/Vic and Adam/Rebecca my wife and I were both happy. We knew one of them would be gone. As soon as it showed them taking off with one donkey, I let out a cheer. Other than Adam/Rebecca, any other couple could win and it wouldn't bother me. Each have their pros and cons. I kinda wish the father/daughter had made it, but they got out of the show what they were looking to get out of the show (short of winning)....
  2. YESSSS!!!!!!!!!!!! Buh Bye!
  3. A good article. Takes Herm and Marty to task for their "playing not to lose" approach to games. Dungy's and Cowher's conservative approaches to playoff games in general (and the subsequent struggles they have had because of it) has been bandied about here as well. I'd like to believe we don't have that kind of coach, that he'll realize the way to win in the playoffs is to take chances. Hopefully we'll see next year. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2005/writ...ards/index.html
  4. oh, and BTW, I'm sure Willis had given about 10,000 fewer interviews has at the time as Irvin has in his lifetime, and my understanding is that Irvin is being paid to be articulate now, and is part of the biz, so he'd better be an "easy interview."
  5. I tell ya, it sucks when I have to actually work to do my job...
  6. Oh, come on, you forgot Wonderbug!
  7. I googled all lemon laws, not knowing which state he is in...some states do cover private sellers, as I noted in my note.
  8. The only American vehicle I've owned that didn't make it to 100K without "major" problems is one that I totalled. It was admittedly a POS but it was also the only one I owned with a Korean-made engine. 150K, that's another story...Got one heading there now and it's leaking in three different places (let alone the noisy timing belt...). Babying it until I can replace it in the Summertime...
  9. What state are you in? Lemon laws vary from state to state but I believe (not a lawyer) for private sales they generally don't require you to pay for repairs but they do allow for the seller to "return" the car for a refund...They certainly have no grounds that you gave them false pretenses. You didn't point a gun to their head and force them to buy it... And where did they take it that the tranny would cost $2400? I'm guessin it's a dealer, based on my own experience.... I believe you did the right thing WRT AAMCO...with older trannys opening them up is usually an invitation for problems to happen...
  10. Are you talkin' to me?
  11. Extreme cabin fever?
  12. Flame Warriors Some of them seem soooo familiar....
  13. I'm sure that whatever team he goes to he will be one of the top 5 backs on that team...
  14. That's the point. Miami hopes that the Bills don't realize it until it's too late...
  15. I think you are thinking of Rasputin.
  16. Holy coaching mixups Batman! This is what I saw when I went to the link: http://www.hipshakinblues.com/~dan/oops.jpg
  17. For $9 you should have JP Losman delivering them to your door.
  18. Sorry, but that mental image is more David Lynch level disturbing...or perhaps John Waters level absurd...
  19. Jay became a Cards fan? Is that why he's been absent?
  20. Didn't Modrak turn down the same offer last year from the Phins?
  21. What will we get? 3rd rounder? That would give us two picks really close together up in the "value zone" (where you can get decent players without having to pay 1st round $$$ if you do it right)...
  22. 1.) Moulds said on his TV show that he wants to retire a Bill, and will re-work his contract to stay. I think we heard from another source that negotiations are on-going for an extension for Moulds. 2.) Finger to the wind says that if either stays, it will be Pat. He seems to be more willing to "deal" with the Bills. 3.) There are some obvious candidates for Travis. Miami has come up, but they really don't have the picks to deal with (they will not deal the 2nd overall pick, and they have no 2nd round pick), unless you believe Travis is not worth a 2nd round pick....The understanding is that his agent has been given permission to seek out a trade. 4.) According to Mort, Drew has been asked to take a pay cut, and will be cut on 3/1 (avoids a $1M roster bonus) if he doesn't. Sounds more like TD using his former co-workers to help the negotiation process. Some say that JP will be living, breathing and eating football during the off-season in an effort to get him ready to start next year, and there's a possibility of another veteran coming in to be ready in case he isn't ready. Tough to figure how they'd lure someone here knowing they are only supposed to start for one year, but I've seen weirder...
  23. I alos believe he said in the same interview that Vinatieri, Pace and Brees are willing to come play for the Bills for veteran minimum, and Williams will re-sign at veteran minimum as well...
  24. Been like that for a while...where you been? Many of the others are gone now.
  25. Who said I cared about you? And, well, given the choice, as long as you promise you aren't capable of good spelling, I'll take the former.
