  1. What does that have to do with JP's readiness? I know you're saying "Drew sucks," but does that answer the question being posed? Or is "Drew sucks" the answer to everything?
  2. Practices are closed to the public but the depth chart is open to the public. If the coaches felt he was "ready," why would he still be #3 on the depth chart? If he's not the one you go to in order to replace an injured Bledsoe, why would you use him to replace a healthy one? Yes, there's a whole off-season ahead, but that's why I've been against starting him. That's what I've "seen" (beyond what he's shown us on the field).
  3. WRT ladybugs, a.) they let out a stink when you squash them, and b.) they eat other bugs. That's why I don't squash them. And to your "food for thought" line, squashing lizards and mice ruins the meat.
  4. DLP is cool, as long as you're not one of the folks who sees the "rainbows." Almost got DLP, but ended up with standard RP - Mitsubishi Silver Plus series. No complaints. BuffaloFan: did you check out the links in my thread in the Consumer Forum?
  5. And, to use an old sig line of Poojer's (IIRC), if we weren't supposed to eat animals, then why are they made out of meat?
  6. Actually, at times when I have had a fishtank, I have trained my fish to get ready for dinner with a simple Pavlovian stimulus: tapping the tank lightly with the fish food can. Doesn't take too many times of tapping the tank with the can, then feeding after a brief pause, before the fish start surfacing as soon as you tap the tank. I've done the same thing with turning the tank light on. Not too much different than what your dog does. Same theory behind it.
  7. Yes, he said it folks: yet another thing that's Drew's fault. And we were doing so well in this thread....
  8. Another one of those grammatically incorrect sayings that gets on my nerves. LA...shame on you! As for the question, if the cleaning solution doesn't work, and you find yourself in the market for a new one, look for one with 1.5X speed playback. I think JVC's and Pioneers have it. My brother-in-law has that feature on his, and it's a neat way to make the young kids' movie time go considerably shorter without them noticing...much. We'll be looking for one when we can find an excuse to....
  9. He even has a killer theme song....
  10. Until the fish strike back: http://www.ratnex.com/wtf/regis_fait_du_kayak1.mpeg Yeah, I know, not a fish...neither is a "dolphin," but we stupid Bills fans say it anyway.
  11. Actually, this is the PETA-preferred methodology of killing fish. Much more humane than "the hook."
  12. Ummmmmm http://www.footballoutsiders.com/ ...
  13. Wasn't he a senior last year too?
  14. I'll bet you any amount of money that OU replaces Jason White next year, since he obviously can't get them the championship....
  15. Where's the "I can beat any team 99-0 in expert mode on Madden 2005 with the Buffalo Bills team that I put together, so that makes me an expert GM and coach" crowd.
  16. ...and you can argue the blame for it as easily as anything or anyone else. "I can personally guarantee you that if taterhill had not taken up the cowbell avatar, we would have won. Try and prove otherwise."
  17. And you decide that you need to scapegoat one person as the reason for the team's failure to win.
  18. Bruce told them to stay in their lanes: http://www.failuremag.com/arch_sports_missmiracle.html That's what the coaches talk about when they say there was a "failure to execute the plays."
  19. Hines Ward was clearly holding Nate Clements, and it was the reason for the success of St. Ides' 4th and 1 scramble, textbook holding call, correct? Clear, out in the open, holding a player who would have otherwise made the play....?
  20. My guess is around $5.5M based on the info I have. That's how much "guaranteed money" is in his contract....
  21. A total eclipse of the McCown. I imagine it took a good couple of hours for the groundskeepers to lift the QB-shaped indentation out of the turf....
  22. Actually, as long as he's sitting on his ass, he won't get big dollars. JP's contract is incentive-laden. His overall base contract is $7.7M over five years, with incentives making it worth as much as $24M. You don't reach incentives by sitting on your ass. He'll be making $300K in base salary, as opposed to the $3.3M that Bledsoe would be for doing the same.
  23. Looks like the pupil (Gray) has not bested the teacher (Lebeau). The Steelers were able to plan for everything we were going to throw at them, offensively and defensively. That's the difference experience gets you. Good post Bill.
  24. I'm sure it didn't hurt the Steelers' case to have intimate knowledge of the coaching (Mularkey, Clements and Gray via Lebeau) and player (especially defense, again via Lebeau) tendencies at hand.....
  25. Yeah, Terry Bradshaw's relative press and 70.9 lifetime QB rating would put him ahead of Bledsoe in the "most over-rated of all time" category, if that's your criteria.
