  1. Geez, I guess that comes in handy if you have extra bodies to dispose of as well...
  2. If you were a true techie you'd be running a paperless office by now....
  3. Shame on you! Don't you know that you're supposed to ask for the collective advice of Dr. Wall before going to the Dr's office?
  4. When you're dealing with 100's of people who use the Internet every day, you can count on some level of expertise in dealing with issues on using the Internet. And if the advice you receive is wrong, the chance that someone dies from said advice is pretty low...Just because those 100's of people aspirate doesn't make them medical experts. That's beside the fact that he said he was going to the Dr.'s ASAP. It's not like you said "I'm going to the computer shop in 2 hours to get the system fixed. What's the problem with the system?"
  5. That's one of two things that crossed my mind. The other is: "My 2nd favorite NFL team is the team that is playing against the Dolphins."
  6. Oh, so you're pro-abortion then, eh? Just providing a bad-joke on how views can be twisted. Not implying anything real...
  7. Do you mean there should be a law that bans sex unless you intend to conceive?
  8. I think you forgot the important part when you said "not opposed to late-term abortions." The full sentence reads "She is not opposed to late-term abortions where the life of the mother is in jeopardy." She, like most Democrats, supports a ban on late-term abortion provided it allows for the protection of the mother's health. She also believes in parental notification, but again knows there should be exceptions. That's extreme? It's like saying someone who supports banning carry permits for RPG's is "extreme anti-gun."
  9. Ummm, no. Lucas' primary inspiration was Kurosawa's "The Hidden Fortress."
  10. Nah, you pull the string and it says random things non-stop for 8 hours...
  11. Huh? Star Wars owes a lot more to Kurosawa's Samurai movies (in particular "The Hidden Fortress") than Tolkien...
  12. Yes it is. I went looking for this a while back, after seeing it on someone's cubicle walls. All other versions stopped before the final frame. The reason why the first went in is that he didn't have any outriggers or do anything to stabilize the crane. Idiot.
  13. Oh, man, when Luke goes Dark Side on Vader, with Williams masterful score reaching a crescendo....chills man. Gosh, I'm such a nerd. But I knew that.
  14. I wouldn't say exactly the same. While Episode IV and (less so) V had the same kind of cheesy dialogue and acting, at least it didn't have to rely on characters that exist purely for comic relief. That said, and as I said, I own Ep. I and II on DVD, and have tried getting my oldest into the Star Wars saga through them, so it's not like I vehemently hate them. I just wish he had at least brought in a script doctor....some of the lines are just painful.
  15. BRAVO!!!
  16. It seems that (generally) the players that leave for $$$$ don't live up to those $$$$ (at least if they had stayed on the Bills for those $$$$. Winfield might be worth those $$$$ to the Vikes, but not the Bills). It also seems that the players who do find some success elsewhere are the 2nd tier guys who were either cut or we hadn't bothered to re-sign....
  17. Don't get me wrong, I was just a couple of years older, and my kids now play with all the action figures I collected over that time. I have all 5 on DVD (haven't watched Ep IV-VI yet, and I've heard a lot of good things about "Empire Of Dreams"), and of course this is the 3rd copy of IV-VI I have (original + special edition on VHS). I know that a part of the "camp" is on purpose, as Lucas has said that these movies were meant as a throwback to the old "serials," so I kinda deal with it. It's a shame, though, when you step back and look at how much better things could have been....
  18. Oh, yeah, the whole story underneath the dreck is great, but the script-writing and direction are atrocious. Unfortunately, Lucas doesn't see it's worth replacing either person with someone capable....
  19. The movie's crap, and that's thanks to Travolta (he was the "force" that made it happen...Hubbard was dead and buried before production began). The books are good.
  20. You're right. According to the NFLPA's site, Ellis is signed through 2010, and Evans through next year. Oh, well, shows me to trust teh Intarweb for true info....
  21. Look at their list of Free Agents: http://www.theredzone.org/2005/freeagents/...m.asp?Team=Jets They are $25M under, with 17 unsigned players, including a few starters...
  22. If I Recall Correctly
  23. IIRC, after the game, just about every player on the team approached Norwood and said something along the lines of "I should have caught that pass/made that tackle/run that extra yard..."
  24. The temperature in the van read -17 this morning as I started my drive in.
  25. Isn't that what the Wall is all about these days?
