  1. The season was over a long time ago. It was disappointing, but surprisingly it did not effect me as losses used to do. We are better off with the higher draft pick and without the illusion that we are better than we are.
  2. Give the guy a break. He is actually one of the few bright spots on this team. He has run circles around guys, is tough, and is playing with a cast on his hand.
  3. Well said.
  4. For saying what exactly -- that he thought that he was the best RB? I have news for you. Every great player in this league thinks pretty highly of himself. If Willis had a decent line, he could be leading the league in yards. As it is, he is up there.
  5. This thread is just brilliant. Willis is one of the best players on this team. Period. He also is one of the best RBs in the NFL. He is playing with one of the worst lines in professional football. Give the guy a friggen break.
  6. Tom and Katie's child is going to be named after its parents. If it is a girl, it will be named Katie. If it is a boy, it will be named in vitro. (I stole that from either Jon Stewart or SNL. I cannot remember which one)
  7. RJ can make paint drying sound exciting. Buffalo Bills and Sabres fans have been fortunate to have some really great announcers from Ted Darling and Van Miller on down.
  8. I hope that you are correct. I have not been happy with our o-line for several years. Many people on this board and Bills fans in general have had the tendency to blame the QB for everything that goes wrong. This year, we are witnessing yet again a substandard o-line. As a result, yet another QB is not able to demonstrate his full potential. Our line is so bad that even one of the most highly regarded offensive line coaches in the game cannot even get these guys to play adequately. It is unbelievable. It is refreshing that even the DB bashers are beginning to realize the importance of an offensive line. Football is a pretty simple game. It is won or lost at the line. We are losing that war on both sides of the ball. Until the people who run the team remedy this, we will not know whether JP is the QB that many people think he can be. Instead, he and WM will be running for their lives.
  9. We were away for the long weekend visiting my in-laws. My DVR was automatically set to record the Bills game. When I got home last night, I turned on my DVR only to discover that it did not record the Bills game. It DID record the Sabres game. I guess I should be thankful this Thanksgiving that my DVR did not want to put me through the misery of watching another frustrating loss, but knew I would appreciate the Sabres' win. I wonder if the DVR recorded Bills shorcuts this week.
  10. No contest. Jennifer Anniston. Although, Angelina might be fun for a night or two, she also might kill you and drink your blood. Along with her other obvious atttributes (which already have been mentioned), Jennifer actually seems to have a great personality and a good sense of humor.
  11. Another excellent post. The Drew bashers blamed everything on Drew. Only now are they beginning to realize that we have a subpar line. It is would be quite humorous but for the fact that the Bills have been largely horrible this year.
  12. Nice post. You are on the money.
  13. I have taken the same approach as you. It has taken me this long to watch that. I have my DVR set to automatically record Buffalo Bills related shows. I noticed that it recorded it when I went home last night. I had not seen it before. I noticed two things. First, it looked like it may not have even been a fumble because it appeared that the ground caused the fumble. There is a caveat though. The angle that they showed was from the sideline and the view was partially blocked by the players. I watched it over and over. Thurman was hit before he crossed the line of scrimmage and looked like he was extending his left hand (with the ball) trying to get as much as he could out of the play. It appeared as though the ball popped out when the ball (while in his hand) hit the ground. You know what happened next. The other thing that surprised me was that Kent Hull was beaten on the play. The Bills were running a trap. Hull was beaten, and his man was the one who caused the initial contact behind the line of scrimmage. Our left guard (I could not make out who was playing LG on that play) also was beaten. He did not get to his guy quickly enough on the trap. As a result, Thurman had very little room. I do not bring any of this up to say that we should have won. Yet, the whole game changed on that one play. I was at the game. The Cowboy players walked right in front of us as they went to the tunnel at halftime. They looked like a beaten team. So did their fans. The Bills were energized. The whole mood of the stadium and the players on both sides changed after that play. The rest is history. I am at the airport waiting for a fligh to visit my in-laws. Happy Thanksgiving to you and everyone else.
  14. I am surpised that Mr. Steroids didn't start plaing baseball.
  15. No doubt. There are a lot of disappointments in the draft -- especially the first round. By the way, I thought of you last night. I was watching one of the highlight shows on our last Superbowl against the Cowpokes. I replayed the play at the beginning of the third quarter when the Cowboys recovered the fumble and ran it back for a touchdown. I was there at the stadium and yesterday may have been the first time that I had an opportunity to watch that play in slow motion instant replay (which I did several times last night). What are your recollections about that play (other than it being the turning point in the game)? There were a couple of interesting things about that play.
  16. In reviewing the first round from that year, there are not too many guys on that list that are as good as each team thought they would be.
  17. Thurman should be a lock. He deserves it.
  18. Easy: We should have hired Charlie Weiss.
  19. You could not be more correct.
  20. The main reason we won most of the games in the Wade era was because of our defense -- not because of either QB.
  21. Thanks for the post Jerry.
  22. He wouldn't say - "Where would rather be than right here right now."
  23. The point was that the game got way out of hand way to early. Because we were playing from behind, we went into a passing mode and did not run the ball. Once we are forced to throw the ball all the time and are taken out of our game plan (which includes a heavy dose of running the ball), it is much less likely we are going to win.. To put it another way, what is our record when one of our running backs go over 100 yards
