  1. It certanly is in terms of performance. Nevertheless, there is no reason why the uniforms cannot look good at the same time. We had great uniforms, and the Bills blundered by switching to the ones they have had since 2002. It just so happens that the Bills have been bad for as long as they have worn the unis they are finally getting rid of.
  2. They were never going to get me to buy one of those awful jerseys. I have boycotted them since they switched to them. I have a feeling they sold about as many as they thought they were going to sell.
  3. We went from having among the best uniforms in the league to one of the worst. To make matters worse, the Bills have been horrible since they switched to those awful uniforms - so the uniforms (together with being awful) represent a wasted decade of futility. Now, it looks like the Bills are doing the right thing and correcting the blunder that was made. Time will tell. With any luck, we will go back to having among the best uniforms and get the team back on track. In a nutshell, that is why I am excited.
  4. I guess we really are on the clock (or at least an alarm clock).
  5. I just got an e-mail that they are making a change. About time. This is the e-mail:
  6. Whitney lipsynched the anthem. At least CA tried to do it live.
  7. That was pretty cool.
  8. Christina Aguilera singing national anthem --- at age 11 before Penguins game. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=leTzT3v_mls
  9. Good memory. I too watched more of that trial than I care to admit. To me, it was clear that the criminal jury did the correct thing under the law. Whether he did it or not is another story. Having met him several times, I prefer to think that he did not and hope that he did not although I suspect that there was some involvement.
  10. I think that it has been reported that WH lipsynched the anthem. As for Christina, she was on one of the chat shows a few weeks ago and said that she sang the anthem at Penguins games when she was a kid. I bet she did a better job back then.
  11. When is the early renewal deadline?
  12. I saw that on Real Sport as well. It was both fascinating and eye opening. If you get a chance to see it, I recommend it. You would never recognize Nate Newton and you will be saddened about what happened to Norman Hand and others. There also is a segment about how certain players have blown through all of their money -- including a former Bill. I hope that professional athletes from all sports watch that segment as well and learn a lesson about how to approach their finances. Unfortunately, I suspect that players blowing all of their money will be a continuing story.
  13. FWIW, I watched most of yesterday's practice and did not come away with that impression at all.
  14. Thanks.
  15. I also saw that not too long ago. I love the letter that the Browns wrote back to him. I wonder whatever came of that.
  16. I read an SI article about him not too long ago. The article was generally glowing, but there were still some things in the article that would cause me concern if I were about to pay him millions and millions of dollars. The biggerst concerns are: (1) He appears to have motivational issues. We have all seen what happens when you pay a boat load of money to someone who is not a self motivator (e.g., Mike Williams) (2) He had one good year in college - and, if I remember the article correctly, it was not until October when the light actually went on for him. Having said all that, he is a huge talent. The question is do you trust him to work and play like a top draft pick after you pay him millions of dollars in guaranteed money?
  17. As a UM fan who has rooted against Ponder, I can say that he is a pretty good QB who certainly has potential to be a good starter in the NFL. I would not mind the Bills picking him at all. I am just not sure which round would be best. I am inclined to think that the second round probably is too high for the Bills to pick with our current pick given that there is likely to be someone who can be an immediate impact player for us at the top (near top) of the second round.
  18. I suspect that, if DW joins the Bills, he will be the assistant head coach and Edwards will be the DC about as much as Modkins is the OC.
  19. I don't blame Brady for yelling over to the Jet sideline. As I recall, the Jets were talking **** before that game as well. I also would not be surprised if he yelled over to the sideline something like: see what happens when you try to blitz me. In any event, the game should be fun to watch whoever wins.
  20. I watched a good bit of the last game they played against each other. Brady looked as good as I have seen him play. It should be a good game, but I expect that Brady is going to have another good day.
  21. I enjoyed that show. I feel very bad for Andy Whitfield. I think I already have seen some previews and read that this season is going to be a prequel.
  22. Very good post.
  23. Everyone in the world knew that Marshawn was on the trading block. As others have said, all the Saints had to do is call. It would not surprise me if Greggo is the source for this. Glazer presumably is just reporting what he was told. Yet, there is no getting around the fact that all the Saints had to do is call. Everyone on this board and in the NFL knew that the Bills were looking to trade Marshawn. Maybe Glazer's story should have been why didn't the Saints call the Bills. If they had traded for him, he would not have had that run against them. P.S. Just for context, I am one of those people who thought that, if the Bills were going to trade Marshawn, they should have traded him for more than they did.
  24. Bump. Did anyone here happen to catch this?
  25. Unfortunately, there is no comparison between Luck and Mallett.
