  1. That is what would have happened to Cutler if we had traded for him last year as many on this board wanted. That is what happens when you cannot protect the QB.
  2. Lindell, Moorman, Spiller, Parrish, Nelson, McGee, Florence, Byrd, Leodis, Fitz, McIntyre.
  3. Unless we figure out how to protect him, there is no point. We have been QB killers for the past decade. Nothing will change unless we improve our pass protection. If we draft a QB with a high first round pick, we cannot afford to miss -- it better be Manning rather than Leaf. We also will destroy him unless they drastically improve the protection.
  4. He did nothing against Cromartie. I suppose he will do less than nothing against Revis when we play them next time.
  5. I have to believe (given his comments) that he would not have drafted Maybin -- at least I hope so.
  6. I have a question: Roscoe Parrish is willing to go over the middle. Why can't/won't Lee Freaken Evans?
  7. I have the same problem. When my first son was born, I called my uncle after whom my son is named. My uncle is a huge Mets fan and absolutely hates the Yankees. When I told him that I felt sorry for my son because he is likely to grow up a Bills fan because of me, my uncle thought for second and said: "Screw it, make him a Yankees fan, and his life will be on easy street."
  8. Well said. I would spend more time watching college football. If the NFL were to let the Bills leave Buffalo, I do not think I would ever get over it. The positive would be that I would have so much more free time given all of the time that I would save that I am now wasting on Sundays and on this board.
  9. The question I would like them to ask is what the plan is to assemble NFL quality offensive and defensive lines?
  10. Chad Jackson would actually care and play with some passion. With any luck there is one team out there which believes they are one go route receiver away from doing well in the playoffs.
  11. I don't blame you for writing the above. My point re the QBs is that this team has been killing QBs for the better part of the last decade. When we have a young QB, I would love to see what the guy's potential might be with NFL quality pass protection. Unless something drastically changes, there is no point in drafting a QB with a high pick. After the piss poor pass protection destroys him, the fans certainly will as well. If we do not substantially upgrade the protection, I will continue to feel sorry for any QB who is the unfortunate guy who has to play on this team.
  12. There is no question that Whitner was drafted a lot higher than he should have been. Yet, he plays with some heart and seems to truly care. I cannot say the same for Lee Evans. They should trade him and be done with it. I do not think he is a team player, and he undermines others behind the scenes. He has no excuses anymore. He is essentially is a one trick pony who does not go over the middle, does not fight for the ball, and does not come back for the ball when the QB is in trouble. With any luck, there is a team out there who is willing to trade us a decent pick.
  13. If that is true, I guess they like making anyone named Edwards a scapegoat. Whose next? Dwan? From a talent standpoint, we deserve to be where we are. The pass protection is horrible. We do not have a number one wide receiver. Our front seven is about the worst in the league. About the only things we have going for us are our kickers, returners, rbs (f they ever got any holes), our defensive backs (who are running all over the field because we cannot get any pressure), and our QBs who spend most of their time running for their lives or looking over their shoulders.
  14. Fitz played his heart out. I feel sorry for any QB who has to play with the Bills piss poor pass protection. As I said earlier in the week, playing against the Patriots poor defense was a mirage. With teams that bring the heat, it is not going to be a pretty picture. Fitz can hold his head up high. As for most of the rest of the team . . . .
  15. A friend of mine who is a season ticket holder to the Dolphins told me that the Dolphins gave him one for free. He loves it. He said that it is a bit distracting until you figure out how to use it -- which does not take that long. He said that at the Dolphins-Jets game, he could watch any angle and creat his own highlights.
  16. The toughest QB in Buffalo Bills history did not want to play for the Bills because of our then piss poor offensive line. If given the choice, anybody in their right mind would question what the Bills plan on doing this more than a decade long problem -- especially if expected to play behind that line. As a fan (whose family has had season tickets to the Bills since day one), I want them to finally resolve this problem. I am glad that you apparently do not think it is a problem. Let's see what happens to Fitz when the Jets bring the heat this Sunday (or the Steelers, Ravens, etc.). Maybe you will realize that the problems we have (and will continue to have unless they are fixed) are larger than whoever happens to be the unfortunate guy who has to play behind these guys. P.S. (In response to your soccer comment) I actually played football growing up. I have no idea whether you did, but your comments suggest that you never did or just don't understand the game. Games are won or lost at the line of scrimmage. Unfortunately, we are bad on both sides of the ball.
  17. Lee Evans simply is not as good as some think he is. He is very good at running go patterns. Beyond that, I see a guy who does not go over the middle, he does not aggressively come back for balls when the QB is in trouble, and he does not fight for the ball. The top receivers in the league do not get taken out of games as easily as he does. Maybe I am spoiled, but when I compare him to someone like Andre Reed or Eric Moulds for example, there really is no comparison. He got his wish now that his buddy's nemesis is off the team. It is time for him to step up and show everyone that he is one of the top WRs in the league and deserving of all of the money that the Bills are paying him.
  18. I like Fitz, but it will very interesting to see how the pass offense performs this week when you know the Jets are going to bring the heat - just like defenses did in the first two games. Let's not get carried away. The primary problem on the offense is the line and pass protection.
  19. If I were a top college QB, I would be very, very wary of being picked by the Bills. We have a long history of destroying QBs (both as a team and fans of the team). If Jim Kelly were in the upcoming draft, he would have the same reaction that he had originally: why go the Bills and play on a team that has a history of not being able to pass protect. I would fully expect any of the top QBs (and/or their agents) to ask the Bills what the plan is to pass protect.
  20. Wouldn't it be nice to finally have a number 1 WR.
  21. Very funny. I always find it funny to read all of the brain surgeons on this board criticize a Stanford guy's intelligence. I also find it funny when all of the keyboard jockeys on this board call him a coward. It takes a lot of guts for any QB to play behind the Buffalo Bills offensive line these past several years. Just my two cents.
  22. That is interesting: "Official Trent Edwards Haters Sign Up Page"
  23. How did that work for us last year? Yep.
  24. I watched Luck play UCLA. He looked pretty good in that game. If the Bills decide to pick a QB with what is likely to be a very high first round pick (if not the number one pick), it will be the most important decision that they will have made in years. A decision (because of the money) that they cannot afford to whiff on. It also will not make any difference unless they figure out how to pass protect between now and then.
