  1. Exacly. I wish our guys waited until after each of the four Super Bowls we were in. As for Gronk, he showed how tough he is by actually playing in the game just two weeks after a high ankle sprain. I have no problem with him having some fun. My only problem is how in the hell is this guy not a Buffalo Bill.
  2. If Jerry Sullivan wrote for the Boston Globe . . . .
  3. Whether she was right or wrong - I cannot blame a wife for defending her husband in response to other people yelling insults at her. It kind of reminded me of how Ruport Murdoch's wife (whether you like Murdoch or not) jumped in to physically defend her husband during those hearings in England.
  4. Two words: Adriana Lima
  5. I am sure they are together because he is such a great conversationalist.
  6. I was just a kid when the Jets won the Superbowl. I do recall just how much it meant to every city with an AFL team -- including Buffalo. That day, every AFL fan was a Jet fan. I seem to recall from that AFL documentary a while back that many AFL players were in Miami for the game, went into the locker room after the game with tears in their eyes because the game validated the league, and they all partied together later that night. I also seem to recall that Bills fans cheered the Jets bus (similarly to the way we did with Kelly's arrival) when the Jets appeared in Buffalo the next year -- again because of what the victory meant to the league and each AFL city. As for Joe Namath, I went to his football camp for two summers when I played football in high school. Joe was a great guy and very generous with his time. (It also was a great camp with a lot of good players and coaches). Joe Namath was a great multi sport athlete in high school. I think his football team was undefeated his senior year. He won the National Championship at Alabama - even after he had his first major knee injury. Bear Bryant called him the greatest athlete he ever coached. Joe Namath also validated an entire league -- including the Buffalo Bills. Not a bad career. P.S. He always was a great guy to me. I am happy I had the opportunity to spend some time with him.
  7. I resent that.
  8. The whole thing looked rushed to me as well. Harbaugh did not do his kicker any favors.
  9. A lot of people on this board like to say what a great guy he was. How does anyone know that? On what is that based? Do any of you have inside information on this? My impression is different, but I admittedly do not have inside information on this either.
  10. That would be great -- if true.
  11. I have no problem with the quick kick. I do not understand keeping Brady in though. I understand that is what they have done in the past. It would make more sense to me to get him out of the game to avoid the risk of injury and give one of their back ups some reps in a playoff game.
  12. I am a Miami Hurricane fan. Typically, we hate the Gators and everything about them. I cannot help but like and respect Tebow. He genuinely seems like a good kid who would run through a wall for you if he were on your team. As someone above said, he has been dissected and, in my view, like very if any others. He has handled the pressure notwithstanding a lot of people waiting to say I told you so. He obviously has an unorthodox style. Nevertheless, he gives it all he has got and at the end of the day - as the article demonstrates - he is the same guy win, lose, or draw. I cannot help but like and admire him. He may not be the best QB in the league, but he seems to be a very good human being.
  13. What was the inside story about why he quit? It really pissed me off that he quit.
  14. The fact that the team is in Buffalo is NOT the reason we have not won in a decade. That is just idiotic.
  15. Wade is a good guy and a good coach. He should have never been fired as the Bills head coach.
  16. It is sad that he is not a Buffalo Bill. The guy even grew up a Bills fan. He just wanted to get paid (as we all do) what he was worth. I am glad he is doing well. I also am glad that he is not playing for one of our division rivals.
  17. Does anyone really believe that he deserved to be picked in the first round?
  18. Sounds about right.
  19. Good guy. I am glad he is ok.
  20. I agree. Great place. We went there when we were home for Thanksgiving. I highly recommend.
  21. I am beginning to think that they should use this as leverage to re-negotiate the contract to something that makes a bit more sense. I like the guy and want him to succeed. I also understand that we are depleted. Yet, I also think we bought his stock at his absolute high. He is not getting that kind of money from anyone else.
  22. I am not saying the offensive team should get a TD, I just don't think it should lose possession.
