  1. Seth Myers on Twitter: These Te'o jokes are all very funny but let's all try and remember that a person who never existed is dead.
  2. I saw this earlier. Not a good month for him. It appears that he has been exposed as both a player and person. I do not like ND, but I hate to see something like this. It will be interesting to see how he responds to this. Apparently, he declined an invite to the senior bowl, but presumably will be at the combine.
  3. The attached link lists Gil Brandt's top 25 players in the draft. There is not one QB in the top 25. I would hope that, if Bills' draft board (or anyone's draft board) is anything like this, that the Bills (Jerry Sullivan, WGR, the guys on this board) would not draft a QB with the 8th pick in the draft. http://www.nfl.com/d...f-top-prospects This link can also be found on the BB.com blog page. http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2013/01/15/brandts-top-25-prospects-lacks-a-qb/
  4. Adriana Lima playing herself on Ugla Betty (I never watched the show, but according to IMDB she made a guest appearance - that is good enough for me) Gloria from Modern Family (Sophia Vergara) Jess from the New Girl (Zooey Deschanal) Chloe from Don't Trust the B . . . (Krysten Ritter) Cerie on 30 Rock (Katrina Bowden) Rachel from Friends (Jennifer Aniston) Marcia from the Brady Bunch (Maureen McCormick) (old school crush) Whitney from Whitney (Whitney Cummings) (I think she is funny although the show is not as good as I thought it would be). Lizzie from Californication (Camilla Luddington)(or pretty much many of the "guest stars" that Hank gets involved with). I could keep on going, but you can see the theme here. In any event, I think that it would be a pretty good cocktail party.
  5. I agree that this has been blown up way out of proportion. As an aside, this is not the first time that Brent and ESPN/ABC have focused on sexy women in the crowd. Even though I am a Hurricane fan, I could not help but appreciate this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Pj2zV5FdYU Brett Favre also took a liking to one of these FSU Cowgirls - Jenn Sterger.
  6. I would consider it, but I suspect that some team is going to offer him a lot more money than we would be willing to pay him. As for Welker the player, certainly you can credit Tom Brady for a lot of his succeess. Nevertheless, Welker is a football player. You could see it even when he was playing with the Dolphins. He is one of those guys who gets the job done whatever he is asked to do.
  7. I am saving that one.
  8. Very good point. Perhaps we should take a QB from Cornell (I will pick on my own alma mater) because Cornell did not produce any QBs that failed in the NFL. As an aside, USC typically is one of those schools that has the pick of any of the top high school QBs in recruiting. It should not be a surprise to anyone that their guys get drafted and at least have a chance of making it in the NFL.
  9. Very well said. The Titans drafted Locker with the 8th pick a couple of years ago. I really hope that the the Bills do not draft this year's version of Jake Locker with the 8th pick in the draft. We can get an impact guy with the 8th pick. Unfortunately, there is no Andrew Luck or RGIII in this year's draft. Unless the Bills have a QB in the top part of the first round (I may be willing to "reach" a few picks for a QB), there is no point in drafting a QB at 8 so that people on this board, Jerry Sullivan, and WGR can say we drafted a QB. I would much rather (given the talent available) (a) use the second round pick on a QB; (b) trade back in the round and acquire additional picks; © or package the second round pick with other picks to move up with our second pick to draft a QB (while using our 8th pick in the first round for a quality player that certainly will be available at 8). I am so glad that we did not waste a first round pick on a Jimmy Clausen (although some here imploded on that day). Good point.
  10. Great stuff. I will have to watch the entire documentary. Based on the interview on BB.com, Junior was 0-5 against his Dad.
  11. One of the interesting things about both Hackett and Pettine is that they are each sons of football coaches. I am feeling pretty good about our coaching staff right now.
  12. I would not take any QB with our 8th (whether from USC or any other university) in this year's draft. Later in the first round or with our second pick, I would consider it.
  13. Somebody will pick him up. I am a Hurricane fan and cannot stand the Gators, but Tebow is the kind of guy who would run through a brick wall for a team. I am not saying he should be anyone's starting QB, but if used right, he can help a team in certain packages.
  14. FWIW, based on Hackett's comments to BB.com, he worked extensively with Jon Gruden when he was with Tampa Bay.
  15. Interesting comments from our new DC http://blogs.buffalo...ign=blog_header http://www.buffalobills.com/media-center/videos/Bills-Focus-Mike-Pettine-Sit-Down-Interview/355b2269-c24f-40a6-98d0-8a09404f1f21
  16. Not reach on a QB - especially in the first round.
  17. I hope they do not take any of these QBs with the 8th pick. I would rather see them use the 8th pick based on their board (presuming no QB in the top 8 of their board) and use the second pick on a QB (either with the pick itself or packaging it to trade up) or trading the 8th pick for a later pick in the 1st round plus other picks. At this point in time, I do not think there is a QB worth the 8th pick. We can use that pick for an impact player without having to reach. Let's not be this year's version of the Titans (who reached with the 8th and took Locker).
  18. Keep in mind that Notre Dame players are historically overhyped and and overinflated going into a draft. You really have to do your homework. I am so happy that the Bills did not draft Jimmy Clausen when so many on this board were so in love with him. As for for Te'o, I have not seen him play a lot, but he has looked good the few times I saw him play this year before tonight. Nevertheless, the Bills (or anyone else thinking of taking him) better really do their homework.
  19. I saw both AJ and her at the Fountainebleau on Saturday night (the Alabama team hotel). I was at a party there that night. Let's just say, AJ is a lucky guy. As an aside, that "Roll Tide" commercial is right on. We did an experiment going through the hotel. We said "Roll Tide" to everyone we came across and, sure enough, everyone said "Roll Tide" back.
  20. Totally agree. He is from the area, loves Buffalo and the Bills, and he is well respected by his peers in the NFL.
  21. She is one of the reasons why Andy understandably said that, on a scale of 1 to 10, his interest in staying in Buffalo is a 10. Clearly, Andy has his priorities in order.
  22. I totally agree that the roster is much better than before Buddy took over as GM.
  23. Yes. Good guy.
