  1. I thought that was a great line and great advice by Buddy.
  2. BB.com video of EJ's first hours as a Buffalo Bill
  3. I love that. Immediately after that, he said of the fans: "I will not let them down." No risk, extremely high reward.
  4. I have noticed that as well. Make no mistake, Buddy is in charge.
  5. You are absolutely correct about Roscoe.
  6. I hate this pick. I cannot believe the Bills panicked again. Buddy must be asleep. This guy would have been available in the 8th round. This guy is a gadget kicker. Our ST coach has a shiny new toy and we have so many other areas of need. Just in case some of you do not know, I am just being sarcastic. I also know that there is not an 8th round in the draft.
  7. "Panic move" seems to be the favorite phrase of the naysayers of EJ or Kiko. Stop it. These guys have been preparing for the draft for a year. Disagree with the pick if you want, but the Bills and the scouts have put in the work to put their board together. You may disagree with the way they value a guy, but I seriously doubt anyone in the draft room is having a panic attack.
  8. That sucks. Ertz is gone.
  9. Joe B (who is one of the guys on WGR I actually like) also likes Vance McDonald, a TE from Rice, if the Bills go for a TE.
  10. Two of the following: Hunter, Woods, Ertz, Minter, Brown, Allen, Escobar, and Allen in no particular order.
  11. Well said. I was not one of the guys who thought we should pick a QB at 8, but I love that they were able to trade down and get the guy they wanted while acquiring extra picks. There was no reason to push our luck. Since our pick, I have read enough to know that Philly, Cleveland, and some others really liked EJ. Why trade back to the end of the first round and risk Chip Kelly (who loves EJ) trading ahead of you.
  12. The more I listen to EJ, the more I like this kid. He sounds like a great kid.
  13. All in all, a very good day. I am not sure how I would have felt if we drafted him (or any other QB) at 8. Yet, getting the extra picks and being able to draft the QB with perhaps the highest ceiling makes me happy. I have seen EJ play, and he certainly has the physical tools. The things that impress that I did not really know about until we drafted him: 1. Great leader; 2. Very intelligent - he already has his undergraduate degree and is working on his graduate degree (I think that I read that it was international relations or something like that). 3. Bruce's Godson. This kind of makes him a legacy. 4. Good all round kid - compare that with some other QBs who will remain nameless for now. With proper coaching, it seems the sky is the limit. Given that we have Kevin Kolb, there is no reason to rush him as a full time starter. I also loved the fact that he is thrilled to be a Buffalo Bill. It also was obvious that Gruden and Mayock think that he can be a great QB in the NFL. As an aside, based on what I have read since the pick, it appears that Philly, Cleveland, and others were going to go after him. Props to both Adam Schefter and Joe B. for calling the pick.
  14. I agree. Apparently, they could not get reservations at Tempo yet.
  15. I hope that she is not the same secretary that was responsible for the call with the Buc's GM.
  16. Is anyone else having a hard time getting anything done at work the day before the draft?!?
  17. Now the Jets are really confused. I would not be surprised if this is actually true.
  18. You never know. You could be right. These guys -- especially QBs -- get picked apart from the end of the season to the day of the draft. Since the subject came up because of the 30 for 30, think about how Marino got so picked apart in pre-draft evaluations that he dropped all the way to the Dolphins and past his hometown Steelers. By contrast, Ryan Tanneyhill rose all the way up the draft boards last year. It is pure speculation on my part about where Barkley would have been drafted last year, but he certainly was highly rated.
  19. It is funny that you should say that. I was watching that last night and thinking about this. Fortunately for Barkley, he does not have the rumors swirling around that Marino had to face. If the Bills think that Barkley's arm is good enough, I really think that Barkley has everything else that you want in a QB. The kid actually started at Mater Dei as a 15 year old. That is just crazy. For those of you who do not know, that school is a HS powerhouse. He also started at USC as a freshman. We all know that USC has no shortage of highly rated QB recruits. Ask Aaron Corp for more information about that.
  20. If you guys have a chance, watch the Gruden QB Camp with Landry Jones. Some of us forget just how highly rated he was just a few years ago. The guys certainly has a lot of talent, but will need some seasoning at the NFL level. Unless the Bills have a conviction about one of the other guys, Kevin Kolb gives them the ability to wait to draft someone like Landry Jones later in the draft - wherever that might be.
