  1. FWIW - Rodak on Spikes: http://espn.go.com/blog/nflnation/post/_/id/120942/following-up-on-brandon-spikes
  2. I know some people love Poz on this board. One of the differences between Poz and Spikes is that I do not recall ever seeing Spikes bowled over by a running back.
  3. I found this quote interesting: "Spikes is a force in run defense, however. ProFootballFocus.com has Spikes graded as its sixth-best middle/inside linebacker this season, and the best at his position when it comes to stopping the run: His grade for the season of plus-13.2 against the run is nearly six points better than the Panthers’ Luke Kuechly, whose plus-7.5 ranks second."
  4. I still miss Pat Williams, Sam Adams, and Ted Washington.
  5. I presume the Pats are asking him to take a pay cut. If so, I wonder if this is because of their cap situation and Revis contract. If my presumptions are correct, the Pats may be forced to cut or trade him if he does not want to take a pay cut to stay there.
  6. I presume he is playing guard in games you watched. Question: Chris Brown wrote that he played well against SF. Your thoughts?
  7. Well done sir. The Buffalo News guys have burned so many bridges with the Bills and Sabres, you always have to question who their supposed sources are and whether they exist (unless it is Bucky writing about Darcy in which case you can presume it is Brian Burke grinding the ax that he and Bucky share). Interesting. He does have a knack for the ball.
  8. . . . especially on this board . . . . Revis Island?
  9. I know Buffalonians are friendly, but I really hope Buffalo Bills employees never make this mistake again.
  10. Perhaps this has been mentioned by someone else - given his size, is Nolan Carroll someone who could play safety as well?
  11. I cannot say that I ever recall actually paying specific attention to him when he has played so I cannot comment on him as a player or the amount of his contract with any authority. I love Bill Polian and subscribe to PFF and like their analysis. In the end, I am going to defer to the guy who was largely responsible for us going to four Super Bowls. I hope that Bill and the Bills are correct. I will remain cautiously optimistic until I see him play for us - presumably next to Cordy Glenn. In the end, just about anything is an upgrade over who we had playing left guard last year.
  12. I would not call him a "Saint," but he will be playing for the NFL team in New Orleans -- presuming his planter fascitis clears up before the season starts.
  13. Would be nice. He and Mario would make whoever plays at FS look a lot better.
  14. I do not get the tendency on this board to eat our own - I am referring to players like Stevie and CJ who really seem to enjoy playing for the Bills (and guys like Aaron Williams and Leodis before). Just my two cents.
  15. I would have preferred if we had tagged him and used that leverage. The Dolphins got something for J. Martin. I have to believe that we could have got something from a team like the Saints given that they are willing to pay JB all that money (and at the same time piss off Graham and some of their other unsigned free agents). Perhaps this will help the Bills in that the Saints are unlikely to have the money to re-sign Charles Brown. I am glad that we were able to extend Williams and re-sign Carpenter. This was just the first day of free agency. Accordingly, it is not the time to give them a final grade. Reading the tea leaves (thinking of Silver Linings Playbook - pun intended), I had prepared myself for losing Byrd so it did not have as much of an effect on me when it was made official. Let's hope we can upgrade the offensive line and linebacking corp, and pick up some other impact players at DE, LB, and FS either in free agency or the draft. Go Bills!!!!
  16. 26%? Whitner is also from that area.
  17. Agreed. The guy played RB in NFL with high ankle sprain (as a former HS RB who suffered a regular ankle sprain, I can say CJ deserves big time respect). The guy has shown toughness and commitment to the team all the while being a great teammate (e.g., his relationship with Fred). Nevertheless, there will always be haters on this board. I should listen to your advice.
  18. Have the Bills made any reservations at Tempo in the next few days?
  19. To me, this shows (confirms) that Eugene Parker is full of BS and was the one leaking that the Dolphins had a significant interest in JB.
  20. Thank you.
  21. Question: when is payment due? I have not received my physical invoice yet. When I go into my account on line, I do not see anything showing when payment is due. Thanks.
  22. Perhaps. I just hope whoever is starting at LG in 2014 is a significant upgrade over what we had.
  23. I just read that Chad Rinehart re-signed with the Chargers. I was hoping that we could sign him (given that the Bills are preparing us for mid level FA activity). http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/03/10/chad-rinehart-re-signs-with-chargers/
