  1. Every single team chose someone else at least twice including Seattle. Stop with the Buddy bashing. As I posted, I would have loved it if they drafted him. Now, pretty much every other team wishes they had picked him.
  2. I loved Russell Wilson in college - his heart, smarts, and ability. I also was hoping that the Bills would draft him and am not much of a TJ Graham fan. Nevertheless, come on. Every team (including Seattle) passed on him at least twice and 74 other guys were chosen before him. Hindsight is 20/20.
  3. Heads up play by Moreno to make sure it was only two points.
  4. Steve Freeman is the back judge. At least one Bill is in the Super Bowl.
  5. If you have a chance, listen to John Murphy's interview with the Ravens play-by-play guy. It is very informative re Hostler.
  6. I just got the text as well. It is funny, when I read it, I initially thought that they had misspelled Hostetler Nevertheless, it seems like a good hire.
  7. Here is another potential endorsement deal for him: Beast Mode Pot http://www.breitbart.com/Breitbart-Sports/2014/01/28/Beast-Mode-Powerful-Strain-of-Pot-Named-After-Seahawks-Running-Back
  8. I really would like to know what the back story is on this.
  9. I wanted Wade, but I think that this is a good hire. He is more than capable. I dare say that, if we had the choice between him and Pettine last year, most of us would have chosen Schwartz. Don't get me wrong. I really like Pettine and, knowing what I know after this past year, I would have loved it if he had remained our DC. Nevertheless, Schwartz is a very good hire, and there should be more continuity in the defensive schemes (as opposed to others that we may have hired). As for O"Neill, the Bills should let the Browns twist in the wind for a week and take their time deciding whether they want to keep him.
  10. When I read the caption of Tom Brady getting nailed, I was hoping that the video was of Gisele. Nevertheless, this will do.
  11. I would love to start beating them on a consistent basis first, but until Bill Belichick and Tom Brady leave, any other departure is not particularly consequential.
  12. You are absolutely correct. Most of the local guys seem to have burned all of their bridges with both the Bills and Sabres because of their snark.
  13. Pettine says he would have withdrawn if it had dragged out for much longer. I do not know if this already has been posted. I heard it yesterday and PFT has now reported on the WGR interview. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/01/24/pettine-would-have-withdrawn-if-browns-search-had-gone-longer/ For some reason, I am having a hard time using the link feature. I also have problem posting if I type too fast. Do any of you guys have these problems?
  14. I voted for Wade. He always has been a great defensive coach. I liked him when he was with the Bills (both as DC and HC). I also am impressed by the fact that, notwithstanding the fact that he has no financial reason to work (I heard on the radio yesterday that he is making over $2m from the Texans whether he coaches this year or not), he still has that drive and seems to want to come back to Buffalo. I think that it would be great if he could come back to Buffalo and be successful given the way it ended here last time for him. We have not been in the playoffs since he was HC (and as I recall he has the highest winning percentage of any Bills HC). Maybe we can reverse all the bad karma since his departure. As an aside, I know people who knew him in Buffalo. Everyone always said that he was a great guy. Interesting fact, he lived on the same street as Scotty Bowman.
  15. If we did not have bad luck, we would not have any luck at all. (To paraphrase Cream)
  16. Have the Browns taken Pettine to Tempo yet?
  17. I suppose I will now root for the Pats to beat the Broncos so that the Broncos' OC is available for the Browns to hire sooner rather than later.
  18. I love Paris. My family and I were just in London before Christmas. We had a great time. Have fun.
  19. CJ had a good game yet someone thought that he should start a thread to single the guy out. The guy has had a high ankle sprain most of the season and he is criticized for gutting it out rather than complimenting him for trying to help the team. A high ankle sprain will affect anyone's game -- especially a RB like CJ. A running back playing with a high ankle sprain is the opposite of being a slacker. CJ is a great player and a great teammate. I have to hand it to both CJ and Fred for both being great running backs and teammates for this team. CJ is just about the least of our worries.
  20. Very well said!
  21. That must have been fascinating.
