Ivan Reitman was interviewed by Murph. He is from Toronto area, likes Buffalo, and wanted to do the movie featuring the Bills rather than Browns. Because the movie was done on a tight budget, the additional money that Ohio (I think) came up with made a huge difference in being able to do the movie.

Bridgewater - the luster has come off
Peter replied to OldTimer1960's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am not a big Teddy Bridgewater fan, but if he throws better with the gloves on, why not throw with the gloves. He would not be the first. -
I do not have time to read this entire thread. Someone already may have posted this, but Sammy Watkins apparently grew up as a Buffalo Bills fan. http://www.orangeandwhite.com/news/2014/jan/10/sammy-watkins-readies-nfl-dream/?partner=RSS http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/04/23/bills-hosting-sammy-watkins-for-visit-would-need-to-deal/

I just cannot see people like Terry and Kim Pegula, Tom Golisano, Jeremy Jacobs, Bob Rich, Chuck Schumer, Roger Goodell etc. letting this happen. I also believe (hope) that Mary Wilson (trust) will sell the team to people who want to keep the team in Buffalo to the extent those offers are in the approximate range of offers from out-of-town interests. Just my two cents.

What would be "Buffalo Strong" to you?

I agree. I read the whole thing. I would think long and hard before drafting this guy. Everyone is innocent until proven guilty - at least in a court of law. Nevertheless, when you are professional football team, that standard does not apply. Clearly, I cannot say he raped her or did not rape her. Yet, there are enough red flags that would cause me (if I were a GM or owner) to find out a whole hell of a lot more before drafting this guy and committing to pay him a bunch of money. Just my two cents. -
Thanks!

Thank you 26cornerblitz for the photos. As a fan living in Miami, I really appreciate it. Do any of you guys have an estimate as to how many people attended the event?

I am fine with this. If we really want Mike Evans, there is no guaranty that he even would make it to our pick. This provides low cost insurance. It also gives us added flexibility in he draft to draft the BPA. Buffalo Bills (Williams)!!!
-
I also agree. I like Russ and am glad that he is "in charge" especially given that he is from the area. I think that he helps maximize the Bill's staying in Buffalo outcome.

For some reason, I am more and more hopeful that the Bills will remain the Buffalo Bills. It would have been easier if Ralph had lived forever, and I was hoping that he would at least live until after one or more of the following moved to LA (Chargers, Rams, Raiders). Given the lease and the substantial penalty, we have about 7 years to get our house in order. Among other things, we have the following going for us: Passionate and historic fan base. Ralph's intent (at least while he was alive) to keep the team in Buffalo. Roger Goodell. Say what you will about him, I do think he has a soft spot for the Buffalo Bills and will do what he can to make sure that whoever the new owner is will keep the team in Buffalo. Terry and Kim Pegula. They have shown tremendous loyalty to the area and have done so much financially for Buffalo. Say what you will about the Sabres and the tear down/rebuild, I would love it if they bought the team. Chuck Schumer. Again, say what you will about him and politicians, the guy has some pull and whether he is doing it out of the goodness of his heart or politics (or both), who cares? He is motivated to keep New York state's only NFL team in Buffalo, NY. Listen to his interview on WGR this morning. I also thought that the fact that Bills themselves chose Schumer to be one of the team's representatives on the stadium committee is a great sign. It would make absolutely no sense whatsoever to chose a senator of NY to be one of the team's representatives if the goal was to move the team. The team is reportedly in a trust and there does not appear to be an urgent deadline to sell. If so, that hopefully gives all of the "Buffalo interests" enough time to get everything sorted re stadium and create enough reasons and incentives to keep the team in Buffalo (and impediments to moving the team). RIP Ralph and thank you! -
He is a pretty good musician and very bright. I forgot what his degree is. Last year, John Murphy interviewed him. He seems like a great guy - a guy you would want to go have a beer with. He also seemed to really like Buffalo.
-
Two words: Eugene Parker Having said that, I like Carrington as a player. He also is an interesting and bright guy. I would love for him to be on the team. Nevertheless, the Bills should pay whatever value the Bills have placed on him. I wish he had another agent.

I think I heard somewhere that a girl at the school turned them in. Read into that what you will. The whole thing is asinine. The "poor" "kid" is 18. I doubt that there is hardly anyone who feels badly for him or thinks that he was taken advantage of. Maybe I am wrong, but the problem here is not what happened, but the draconian punishment that the teacher is facing.

I am not a diver, but several people have told me that there is always a greater risk of "meeting" sharks if you go spear fishing.

It is absolutely ridiculous that she faces seven years in prison -- or any time for that matter.

He is good. I also heard rumblings that he is a prima donna. Does anyone know whether there is any truth to that?

Especially with defenses flip flopping their best pass rushers and if you want your second year QB to succeed. I have not decided who I would pick yet, but if the best player left on the Bills' board is a tackle, I have no problem with the Bills drafting a stud tackle. If the best remaining player is a difference maker WR (or insert another position), I am ok with that too. I also am ok with Bills trading back for fair return value. It is going to be a strong draft.
-
Whatever it is, I really hope there is a run on QB before we pick. I am afraid teams are re-evaluating whether the "top three" QBs are worth a top ten pick.

I just read that Spikes has missed 12 tackles in 4 years. For context, Kiko missed 10 tackes in his first year. Source: Rob Quinn on Twitter. -

This is based on Chris Trapasso's tweet about three hours ago. It all depends on whether he (rather than some others) is correct. -

True. As an aside, a lot of these guys certainly have some rough childhoods.
