  1. Yes, make it painful for them. I also think that they have to make a decision about Tannehill in the next year. They have some very tough decisions to make. At the very least, force them to cut another player in order to keep Clay.
  2. It looks like it was designed with the Bills and Clay in mind. Year two looks pretty bad though for them.
  3. Apparently, he told Shady that life just got easier for him. I like that.
  4. I have no idea whether the Bills gave him the rumored offer. Based on Doug Whaley's chronology of the McCoy trade (discussions dating back to the combine), I wonder whether the rumor is true. Unlike the CJ haters on the board, I think that CJ is a good back and great teammate. I really hope he does not end up in the AFC East or AFC. I am kind of hoping for both him and us that he ends up in Dallas. Once CJ is behind a decent offensive line with a coaching staff that knows how to use him, I suspect the haters will avoid chirping about CJ. Although I wanted CJ on the team going forward, I also am very impressed by McCoy. I think he is going to be great in our Greg Roman offense. He also seem like a good guy.
  5. Schefter on Cassel: Adam Schefter‏@AdamSchefter3 mins3 minutes ago QB Matt Cassel just passed physical with Bills; trade with Vikings about to become official. 0 replies199 retweets135 favorites
  6. I read on twitter that he has nor reported for his physical.
  7. Mr. Sunshine, is that you? I actually think that Buffalo is going through a renaissance right now and has a bright future. Just my two cents.
  8. CJ always was a great teammate and class act. He also loved playing in Buffalo and with the Bills. For his sake, I hope he gets to play behind a good offensive line and shuts up some of the CJ haters on this board. For our sake, I really hope he does not end up with the Pats or Jets. I have a feeling that he will end up with the Eagles and for far less money than we are paying Shady.
  9. I totally agree. Another thought - CJ is not the prima donna that Shady is and will sign for a lot less money.
  10. No, but I thought about it. McCoy (as I recall) tweeted that Brown was better than Fred and CJ. Fred was not happy.
  11. After listening to that, I learned that the Buffalo Bills have the same middle name as Bucky Dent does in Boston. That was funny.
  12. We know that he does not need the money to give waitresses tips. Just my two cents - pun intended.
  13. Was it as awful as the interior of our line. As an aside, for what it is worth, I saw that Sproles had 5.8 yards per carry compared to Shady's 4.1.
  14. There is no way the Bills will cut Fred Jackson - unless he has a horrendous camp and pre-season. He is the team leader on offense and respected by all of his teammates. It would shock me if the Bills cut Fred.
  15. As another poster said, we had better improve that line (i.e., the left guard position). I do not care who the back is, we better start opening some holes if we plan on running the ball. Shady had 4.1 yards per carry last year - behind a line that I dare say was better than the Bills line last year. Did he have an off year? Is he in decline? I really hope that is not the case. If Shady is in decline, this turn of events will not be good for the Bills. Go Bills!
  16. I may be one of the few, but I would rather have Kiko and re-sign CJ (at presumably a much lower cap hit than Shady). I suspect that the Eagles will be the ones that will have both Kiko and CJ now. I keep on reading how Kiko is redundant given that we had a top defense last year. Did I miss something - have we re-signed Jerry Hughes? Rhetorical question. Even if we sign Hughes, we will be spending a huge amount of money on both Hughes and McCoy as opposed to Kiko and CJ. Oh well. Go Bills!
  17. I hate this. Just my two cents.
  18. Well said. Sadly, this board (at least some posters) have driven off others in the past.
  19. Cutting EJ would be foolish. 1) He has not really played a lot yet so we are not even sure what we have. 2) Even if he turns out not to be a starting caliber QB, one would think that he is at least good enough to compete for a starting position or to be a back up. This does not make sense to me. I would be surprised if he gets cut.
  20. Why would you not want a coach is all in?!? I love it. I also could not be happier that he is our coach.
  21. I would love to have CJ back on the team. Unlike the haters, I think that he can be a great back if used properly and he actually has a hole. Having said that, it does not make sense to tag him for cap reasons. My view is the Bills should bring him back if the Bills and CJ can come up with a contract that both sides are comfortable with both financially and in terms of length.
  22. I cannot and you cannot say with 100% certainty whether he raped her. I can say with 100% certainty: (1) I hope and pray that my sons never act like this guy or his roommates; (2) As "smart" as Jimbo and others have tried to portray him, he has done some pretty stupid things -- notwithstanding he had a minder and knew that he was in the public spotlight and microscope; (3) As for your comment about there not being "enough evidence to charge anyone" - it is clear that the police were negligent in the way that they handled this case and did NOT collect evidence, coddled Winston, and waited to do pretty much anything until much of the evidence no longer existed (video from the club, evidence from the roommates cell phone, etc.) so much so that one can only conclude that they had very little interest in doing a proper investigation of an FSU football player -- much less the star FSU QB. (4) If you have any question about number 3 above, ask yourself whether the police would have conducted the same investigation of an accusation of rape by a coed against Jameis if he were not a member of the FSU football team or the star QB. The following I cannot say is a 100% factual certainty as it is just my opinion: I would be very, very afraid of drafting this kid at the top of the draft to be a team's franchise QB. In my opinion, stupid is as stupid does (to borrow a line from Forrest Gump). Just imagine how much more trouble he can get in and entitled he will feel once he is a multi-millionaire. As someone else said, the silver lining of the Bills not have a high pick this year is that there will be no temptation to take this guy at the top of the draft. He will be someone else's problem. Maybe the kid has learned. I did stupid things when I was a kid -- although nothing like he was alleged to have done or has admittedly done. For his sake and others, I hope he has learned his lesson and becomes everything that his defenders/promoters say he will be - although his attempt to play the baseball card does not improve my view of him. He is lucky that Tampa Bay has the first pick. If the Bucs do not take him, it will be interesting to see who does. Just my two cents.
  23. That was great. Thanks for posting.
