  1. Michael bush is a free agent, just sign him.
  2. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/598405-2011-nfl-draft-complete-7-round-mock-for-buffalo-bills Best of the Mocks, IMHO scoring at home 1-Peterson CB 2-Phil Taylor NT 3-Matthews ILB 4a-Andy Dalton QB 4b Dontay Moch OLB 5. DeAndre McDaniel, Clemson Safety 6. Charles Clay, Tulsa Tight End 7. Mark Herzlich ILB add a free agent for the OL and DL and I'd say this would be a highly successful offseason
  3. The return of the redhead since last I post about this topic many things have changed. First, a new year, 2010 ended with me hooking up with as many girls as possible, I am not exactly proud of it, but its what I did. Considering I was married at a very young age, I missed out on the random hook ups that I got the last four months. In the last week things have returned to where I liked them, I am being placed into a management training program, unlike previous employers this company thinks my lack of wife and kids are a plus, I am free to move around. the increase in pay is a big deal, I am finally going to get back to where I was before 2010. Earlier in Jan I started dated a girl who had a similar educational background to me. She has inspired me to do my dream, which is writing. despite my stupid posts, I am actually a descent writer with lots of original idea, that relationship ended, not that it matters we are going to continue being friends. She used to work with my ex wife at a local television station, she was actually at one time her producer in the field. funny, she didn't know that my ex was married (we were at the time when they worked together) Hence why we are divorced, whats great is everyone knows each other in the industry, this news will likely hurt my ex wife's career...which actually will upset her, she actually told me that she has worked hard for her reputation and this will ruin it. I reminded her that it was her doing. now the return of the redhead, I got a call from her the other day, the first bit of conversation from her since we broke up. She spent the night last night, the answer is no we didn't. A giant part of me wants to be the stronger man, and resist her advancements when they happen. After spending the night, she spent the entire day with me (half day of work) unshowered and wearing the same clothing I saw her in last night. I am going into this with caution of course, I am playing it as safe as I can. 2011 seems a lot more promising, now if the Bills could only win! just updating. Frogger
  4. I know you said players, but honestly Marv Levy...if you look at the talent the Bills had in the late 80's and early to mid 90's they should have won 5 titles. Only on Madden can I manage to have that many great players on one team. He was a less than average head coach, had it been anyone else I don't think we hear the 0-4 comments.
  5. If we are able to sign 2 of 3 of these: a good ILB, a NT or an OLB, I could see buffalo taking a QB...I would love to see Peterson in that scenario though. And address the missing 1/3 in the 2nd round and a TE in the 3rd. Peterson will be the prize of this draft.
  6. For what he did in his first year in this offense I can only think he'll have a great second year. Give him a TE and a defense that gives him the ball more often and a pro bowl could be in his future. Drew brees doesn't have a big arm, but he is dominating, it can be done.
  7. if you to look at my previous ones a lot of those players moved up after this weekend. so this is a new and improved version. Give reasonable contract offers to Poz, Whitner, Wilson and Florence Cut Terrence McGee-unless I am wrong he is one of the highest paid players on this team and he can't stay healthy. Sign David Harris-a lot people here feel we can't live without him, if we sign him and Poz doesn't, it will still be a victory, if we get both them fantastic. Poz isn't bad, however he isn't the type to make plays without help. There are times when he plays to discipline, causing him to look out of position or like he is dominated by a lineman. each player has a role in the 34 defense sometimes it to take on a blocker to allow the other Linebackers to make plays, getting another playmaker allows him to freelance, and makes him a much better player. Wayne Hunter RT, I keep saying his name for a good reason, he is the best back up tackle in the NFL, he could be had at the reasonable price of a 3 year 7 million dollar contract. He is an instant started. Bell-Levitre-Wood-Urbik-Hunter is a average to good starting line. Paul Soliai- NT, Gailey and the coaching staff spoke highly of him. allows Williams to move to RE, his slashing ability (williams) will force double teams there, Soliai and Stroud (I want to keep him) can take up other OL to allow the stars of the defense to make plays (the linebackers) Tyler Thigpen-a more qualified back up. draft 1-Patrick Peterson-He is clearly the best player in the draft, 6'1" 220 pound CB that runs a 4.37 40. This is maybe the best CB since Sanders. I feel that McKelvin will rebound and we know that Florence is worth keeping. With Corner and Youboty we are good at CB. 2-Kyle Rudolph-we didn't get a TE in Free agency, with all of the Free agent TEs Rudolph's stock falls a little. great size and is athletic. a complete TE, assuming his injuries don't stop him. 3-Kelvin Sheppard-prototypical 34 ILB, if we let Poz go, he can step in, if we keep him we have a 4 man rotation (Davis) 4-Brooks Reed-his stock might be on the rise too much, I have called him a poor man's Matthews before and I stick to it. Not as athletic, but is violent. I would trade up to get him in the third if I felt it was in question. I currently have Moats and Merriman at OLB, followed by Batten, Kelsey, Maybin and maybe Woods. I think in his third year Maybin will become the player we drafted, a pass rushing specialist. 4-James Carpenter-played LT in college, I think he can play 4 different positions in the pros, in the event (it will happen) we have an injury he will be able to step right in, More so than Wang. 5-7 role players, special team guys et cetera
  8. at lunch in elementary school in lovely Newark, NY. The teachers brought in a TV on one of those large metal carts to watch it. after it happened we had recess the rest of the day, I think they were afraid to let us watch further coverage of it. whats amazing is talking to people here in Orlando, who saw it explode. if you didn't know, you can see shuttle go up from here.
  9. correct me if I am wrong, wasn't mankins a left tackle in college?
  10. that's a very modest offseason, I think you miss the point of these, we are suppose to have outlandish ideas that every free agent wants to play in Buffalo. However, you did title it correctly, if that is our off-season I wouldn't hate it, considering I am thinking Buffalo might draft a QB round one, and not bring in any free agents.
  11. I think we keep forgetting Soliai, 6'4 355 NT, which would allow Kyle Williams to move to RE and Stroud stays at LE. That actually becomes a pretty good front 3. with Edwards, Carrington, Troupe and Johnson as back ups. I think the mid season addition of Chad Rinehart and Kraig Urbik and players like Mansfield Wrotto and Howard mean we are not looking for a guard, I'd rather give Harris or Rudd the money to play inside Linebacker. I know Mankins is far better than the four I mentioned, but the gap is smaller than the gap between those Linebackers and what we currently have. and Miller would be an absolute, a good TE improves every aspect of the offense. Miller blocks well, he is not a TE that's going to give you the 70 yard TD, but he will be there on 3rd and 7 to move the chains. It also creates less safety over the top coverage on Lee Evans and Stevie Johnson. the position I'd love to see us improve is RT, I like Wayne Hunter, for several season, he is strong enough to play the RT and athletic enough to play LT, this year he was the back up or swing tackle for the jets. He would be a Buddy type move, getting a overachieving back up.
  12. proof that the only negative side effect to pot is the Munchies.
  13. I think cromartie is our best chance at getting a free agent CB. His relationship with Merriman and buddy are the reason, assuming their relationship was positive.
  14. I just don't foresee buffalo signing a big named free agent. To start, buffalo does not have the lore of good weather, a recent winning history and a large market. buddy will build through the draft and pick up familiar players to the coaching staff and people he once scouted. The big names would be ex chargers, two possible players would be cromartie or Jackson. Free agent guards typically don't workout in buffalo...see panos and DD.
  15. Let Ayodele, Ellison, McCargo and Whitner walk. re-sign everyone else, including Poz, Wilson, Youboty, Florence and Wrotto. Sign- Wayne Hunter OT, was swing tackle for the jets, and filled in well for damien Woody during playoffs. 29 years old. Keyaron Fox-could start inside or add depth, played at GT Thomas Howard-good cover LB, could start at ILB or just be used on passing downs. Randy McMichael TE-played for Wannstedt in Miami Shaun Cody 34 DE-added depth Notice the trend, no huge stars, no huge contracts 1-with the new palmer situation in Cinci, our pick becomes more valuable, so we trade down to the team that wants to get the best QB in the draft. our Pick Von Miller, let us not forget the 34 defense is a Linebacker defense, I can't see drafting a player that's responsibility is to protect the LBs. Miller could be our Matthews, Suggs or Ware. He is a excellent pass rusher and good enough in coverage. He has played LB in college. Opposite Merriman or Moats could be fun. 2a-Mike Pouncey-Guard, allowing Wood to stay at Center. He will slip into the 2nd, the team that might bite is Pitt, my response to that is Jonathon Scott is their starting LT. Bell(much improved)-Levitre-Wood-Pouncey-open 2b-to move up to the 3rd pick takes a 2nd rounder, I am hoping a QB emerges... Gabe Carimi- after he runs a poor 40, and only does the 225 21 times, people will question his abilities, we get a steal. could start at RT day one. Next year if we get a QB he'll have time behind the line. That open spot, at RT, looks a little bit less open now 3- Kendrick Ellis NT to protect the LBs, this would allow Williams to move to RE, lined up in the 3 tech, where he could best penetrate. Stroud still holds the LE spot. Troupe and Ellis battle for NT Trade our 4b, next years 3rd and Roscoe Parrish for a 3rd 3b Mark Herzlich-The feel good player of the draft is now in Buffalo. I think he beats out the Vets to start at the other ILB. Prior to Illness he would have been a 1st round pick, but now a mid 3rd. 4a-DJ Williams-when you are 6'2" 235 pounds and you play TE you don't get picked high in the draft, he falls to the 4th. He is a good blocker despite size limitations. Gives Buffalo an over the middle target. 5-Andy Dalton-QB, all he did in college was win 6-Jay Valai-safety back up, short but will hit, and a potential special teams star watch 7- Allen Bradford RB, a big RB
  16. What if this is one of the guys Merriman was talking about...I would embrace the addition personally, despite his off the field crap.
  17. dominated is a strong word, he was good, but nothing dominating...to me Ray Lewis is dominating. The other part of that is it was Detroit...I think you could put a pro bowl team in detroit and they would lose ten games, much like the current atmosphere in Buffalo.
  18. Moch is barely 6'1" and if he runs in the 4.4 range the raiders will draft him well before the 4th.
  19. armchair, I don't think the NFL would allow buffalo to sign bushrod..levitre, wood and maybe Wang, plus bushrod...
  20. Wayne hunter, Thomas howard and Matt spaeth...buffalo likes to sign back ups Hunter-RT, swing tackle for the jets, very athletic, and even though he is a back up, he is a vast improvement. Howard ilb 6'3" 240, fast, considered to be one of the best cover LB in the league, we need to stop TEs at some point. spaeth- TE, tall, good blocker, father was a bill if I recall.
  21. Yes, we could view it that way, but vince wilfork could have been the next Gerald warren and donte whitner could have been the next ed reed. I truly believe where a player starts his career makes a world of difference.
  22. I am good drafting him, even as high as the 2nd round. He is athletic enough to play DE in the 3-4...I'm still hopeful of him being available in the third.
  23. All the more reason not to draft a QB. 1-it would be suicidal to put a rookie behind this line. 2-if our season isn't what we want, maybe luck next year.
  24. I think the steelers will go tackle in the draft, Thomas Howard is considered one of the best coverage LB. We need to find a way to stop TEs!
