  1. Are you sure they are not talking about Trent Edwards when he was in College? wait, it was that and the injuries
  2. Ideally, the draft would be moved up to say middle of March, free agency starts the day after, with all of those that went undrafted and those who are free agents looking for employment. I think it benefits smarter front offices more than just big market teams. plus, the athletes could pick who better fits their chances after the draft. I would hate it if the Bills signed an average to big free agent to play RT and gave him a boat load, then the draft comes and sitting there in the 2nd round is a player that could have started at RT and come at a much cheaper price. Sure if the bills don't get that guy the free agent's asking price could be higher, but he might also have fewer options too.
  3. Not sure if anyones has said anything about this, but personally I love the concept and prefer it, get the players you want in the draft fill in the holes with free agency.
  4. Question for the masses...are we better, worse or on par with the titans prior to their drafting of vince young? I'm not saying he'll have the same impact year one. But, I am saying he could. I'd rather address what really was the reason we have the third pick, our defense. But, if they feel he could keep defensive coordinators up all night trying to game plan buffalo, then so be it.
  5. Like Moats he will struggle in pass coverage, but he is stout and would be good on 1st and 2nd downs. I also live in Orlando, and I've seen this kid play a lot. he is high motor, he is great at going forward, I've seen him struggle in lateral movements...but still worth a 5th. He reminds me of Ted Bruschi. Fan youtube videos crack me up, I am not sure if he can really bench 520 pounds. And wouldn't pull ups and rows be a better measuring tool for LBs. also hand strength, Tim Anderson, is a great example of a lack of hand strength, I recall many times he had a one on one situation in the backfield with a running back and he would grab on, but the RB will shake him off.
  6. Evans will excel in the slot... I think we will see him there more often this year, with nelson on the outside.
  7. Culpepper all over again...I hope.
  8. anyone notice the website had Ponder as the number one QB?
  9. What's his 40 time? We need development players with a mean streak... All kidding aside, that little crap was only able to bully someone because of his bigger friend, I love that his friend just did nothing.
  10. my apologies to the Clausen family for misspelling their name. as far as the comparisons to Clausen and Gabbert, it is a result of his game against Nebraska, the only game I can say I watched from beginning to end. In that single game, I saw a player struggle against one of the better college secondaries, one that will produce a 1st round CB and maybe 2 later round safeties. Gabbert did not look like a NFL QB on that day. I am only speaking for myself when I say, I was not comparing measurable. I am comparing potential early success in the NFL. Having seen only 1 full game and bits and pieces of others, my feelings were, from what I saw, he will struggle in the NFL, much like Clausen did. But, if we want to compare stats feel free, in a spread offense in Gabbert's Junior year he threw for 16 tds and 9 ints, while Clausen threw for 28 tds and only 4 ints, nearly twice as many TDs and half the ints. So I guess Clausen is better, oh also Clausen played in a pro style offense.
  11. But you must admit among QBs clauson was more than twice the college NAME. That was more my point. Unless the dolphins trade down, I don't think they'll get him.
  12. I'll say something positive, I think the comparisons of Clauson and Blaine are spot on, with one exception, prior to his final season we had heard of Clauson, I will be amazed if he gets drafted top ten. Everyone will bag on Newton, but honestly it wouldn't destroy the franchise, Newton could become a good to great player, unless he gets arrested for stealing another computer, I don't think he will be a bust in the NFL. Say what you want about Vince Young, after his rookie season there were a lot of people here wishing we would have drafted him. I think Cam is more Mature than Young, he is a proven winner (in his one year) and is a great personality for the team. Please remember this team need an identification, Cam Newton could be the face of our franchise for the next ten years. and welcome to the board In the 2nd I think we can draft Wilson...this is where everyone will say he is a first rounder...but, if you'll recall he had a rather serious neck injury not to long ago, many teams will be scarred off by this, and he will end up in Buffalo!
  13. Love the first two rounds. I might have an issue after that, 3rd round is where we might get matthews, shepard or another ILB. Jenkins is now a 2nd or early 3rd I think if we ever get a free agent season we will address RT there. Im not sure if the raiders have one for us. I wouldn't mind seeing Wilson in the 2nd. The 3-4 is a linebacker defense, ILB outweighs DE.
  14. I will protest with you, I will not watch any other team than the Bills, and games that have impact on the Bills. Oh, and playoff games.
  15. I'd say Zack Miller, assuming the cba frees him up. Currently he's been tendered a 1st and 3rd. Any TE would be an upgrade, this draft isn't strong at that position.
  16. come on, The Bills will never get a RT from the Raiders, history proves it.
  17. I put the least amount of stock in the sporting news' draft coverage. Every year they seem to be the least informed. Example, who they rate as the top cb.
  18. He'll end up in new England, his career will rebound and we'll be angry we didn't sign him...not that it was really an option.
  19. Peterson Wilson, I doubt Taylor will be there, If he is even if buffalo were to sign soliai, I'd still draft him, maybe plug him in at DE, I know his size tells us he's a NT, but why not try, it will keep the linebackers clean. Jenkins, unless addressed in round two with Taylor. I'd then pick a LB here.
  20. I still feel Peterson will prove to be the best player from this draft. Love pick two Put Kelvin shepard at 3, or carter if he's healthy.
  21. This is the first time in many years that I feel the bills are doing the right thing heading into the off-season. Coaching the senior bowl allows gailey and staff to create relationship with the players, some will go undrafted. i.e. udfa that the staff know more about than other teams.
  22. I really like Peterson, he is head and shoulders above everyone in this draft. Mock this 1.Peterson cb 2.Wilson ilb 3.jenkins 34 de 4-7.bpa regardless of position Sign a TE, a NT and a RT.(Miller, soliai & trueblood or Hunter)
  23. He wrote "Justin bieber is my fav artist"...there is so many things wrong with that sentence.
  24. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this isn't dirty Sanchez' first run in with a sex scandal, if I remember correctly he and 2009 defensive rookie of the year got in some heat while a usc.
