Charean Williams @NFLCharean23mJim Nantz announced on golf this afternoon that the NFL schedule will be announced Tuesday, which is what we all thought. (This was retweeted by Adam Schefter) Can't wait for the home opener thanks to my NCAA Tourney win: My link

My son saw a commercial for the app and he wants me to download it so he can play it. It shows a green race car, if I recall correctly. Congratulations!

Kentucky won so I win, too! If I'm dreaming, please don't wake me up! Cannot believe I've won tickets to the home opener this year. GO BILLS!

(LAMP) I'm competing in David Nelson's Bracket Challenge over at ESPN. He's awarding prizes to the top-three: 3rd- Autographed jersey 2nd- $100 Gift Card to Dick's Sporting Goods 1st- Pair of tickets to this year's home opener. I'm sitting 3rd with a prediction of Kentucky beating Kansas Monday night; first and second have Kansas winning the game. So, I'm all-or-nothing on winning this thing (no one can jump over me but I'll fall far in the standings if Kansas wins). I want to win those home opener tickets so bad. Plus, my birthday is in September (surely the home opener will fall in Sept.) so it would be extra sweet! So, if you have no other rooting interest for Monday's National Championship game, consider rooting for me to win those tickets from David so I can make a return trip to Buffalo. Go Wildcats!

Sal is on WGR tonight. Great show
Mike In Illinois replied to Hammers Lot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
For those of us who follow on Sal on his internet show, I can't agree more. He does a terrific job calling it as he sees it, whether it's good or bad. To think, not even a year ago he left his job in Florida as a teacher; he and his wife made a blind jump to move to Buffalo without any job prospects lined up. His wife found a job in her profession and we've been fortunate that WGR has given him a chance. I only see his role in the Buffalo media growing until he's the premier sports journalist in WNY. -
Crow, Getcha Crow here
Mike In Illinois replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It was discussed in the Official Mario Williams Thread on Tuesday afternoon once it was confirmed he was visiting. -
This "sky is falling" sentiment with Mario and, to a lesser degree, Robert Meacham: "If it weren't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FQ5ob9B9yD4 Or this:Where or where? Have a little faith that the Bills are trying to bring in FAs to make them winners again. Patience is a virtue.

Mario Williams: Officially a Buffalo Bill
Mike In Illinois replied to buffalo_bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Buddy: "Y'know, Burt Reynolds let me borrow this leather jacket in 1983." (he then slips a swig of moonshine from the flask he had tucked in his pocket) -
Mario Williams: Officially a Buffalo Bill
Mike In Illinois replied to buffalo_bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hopefully Mario isn't enamored with having #90 since Chris Kelsay has it. Gonna take a lot of money to pry it from his hands. First a 4/$24million contract and then the purchase of #90 by Super Mario. The rich keep getting richer. -
Mario Williams: Officially a Buffalo Bill

I can visualize Buddy sitting on the front porch at OBD with a whittlin' stick and sipping some moonshine, waiting for these guys to arrive for "courting". -

Mario Williams: Officially a Buffalo Bill
Mike In Illinois replied to buffalo_bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
"If I'm lying, may my child be zapped with a thunderbolt. Yeah, that's the ticket!" Metzelaars and kabnt, I give you the benefit of the doubt. Let's see what happens..... BTW, didn't kab have the info on the new jerseys last year ahead of time? I seem to recall this. -
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fztlLwgSFCg When the USA shocked Russia, 4-3, at the 1980 Lake Placid Winter Olympics, Curt Chaplin was covering the game as a sports reporter for the ABC Radio Network. Standing on a camera platform in the crowd, he did play-by-play of the entire game into his tape recorder, capturing the event on tape forever. Now, after 25 years, these tapes have been rediscovered and matched to the video. The result is a dramatic, stirring and completely original experience for sports fans all over the world. Now you can relive the #1 sports upset of the 20th Century in a whole new way, through new eyes and a new voice. Still as fresh and exciting as the day it happened. Curt's call has been accepted as an exhibit by the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto.

A Band Born from Bills Super Bowl Years
Mike In Illinois replied to truth on hold's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I recall Richard Christie front the Howard Stern Show talk about Caninus. Anybody into a dog fronting a metal band? Kinda takes what Pink Floyd did on Atom Heart Mother and kick it up a notch. -
