  1. I watched the Steelers-Raiders on Sunday (because the bar I was at wouldn't show the Bills game.). A buddy of mine is a huge Steelers fan and he said that Pitt. has a couple of young guys in the secondary and they would bite on Gannon's pump fakes, one of which was on a TD pass to Gabriel. Pittsburgh ran pretty well on Oakland and those aged defensive tackles. I think if we commit to running the ball and the DB's don't easily bite on the fakes we'll be okay.
  2. I believe Craig Hentrich kicked punts and field goals for Tennessee last season (and maybe this year, too) with Joe Nedney out.
  3. He's the sports director at WBBM, the CBS affiliate in Chicago. Saw him at the Bears-Rams preseason game a few weeks ago.
  4. From my experience- standing next to them all game- the Colt cheerleaders do look good. The Rams cheerleaders look good, too.
  5. In reading through the new media guide, there's a page on the anniversary of the 1964 AFL Championship team. Does anyone know if there's plans to honor that team? On-field I would hope for at least one game in the retro jerseys; or one home and one away.
  6. I checked my video of the play; it was Spikes, not Fletcher that chased him down the tunnel.
  7. A couple of things from me on the sidelines: Gildon spent as much time on the stationary bike behind the bench than on the field it seemed. I agree that McGahee is not all the way back yet. It looked like Simonton and the other backs were a bit quicker than he was. How would the offense have played if a healthy Travis Henry is in the backfield? I'm encouraged that the defense is creating turnovers. I think Indy had four? I know we had five ourselves. The defense may help us win games if they get the turnovers we lacked last year. That crowd was loud last night. That helped Indy in some key 3rd down plays (so did The Wave). I believe it was the first sellout of a Colts preseason game in a while. The team made the fans buy tickers to that game in order to purchase the Packers game on Sept. 26. I really hate that horn which sounds before and after big defensive plays. I was standing in the corner of the end zone where Kenny Thomas ran the interception back for a TD. He ran down the tunnel and I followed him, Fletcher and some other players. As he was jogging back to the field, he started screaming "WHAT! WHAT! WHAT!" at me. I'm not sure if it was a Stone Cold Steve Austin or Lil' John reference.
  8. I got my field photo pass to shoot the game and postgame. Unfortunately, I have to get Colts postgame interviews. Maybe my station needs file video of Bills fans at the RCA Dome?
