  1. Steps back from OC position at LSU; will still coach quarterbacks. Kragthorpe was QB Coach under Greggggggggggggggg Williams from 2001-2002, working with Drew Bledsoe on that magical offensive season of 2002.
  2. Coach has called out John Clayton on Twitter. Clayton reports that Whitner Tweeted the deal with Cincy, when in fact Whitner sent a direct message to Sal, who reported the news first; he had not stated it publicly. Coach was quick to correct Clayton- pretty funny.
  3. I cannot recall the last time I tuned in- maybe 2005 to see how the Telethon was affected by Hurricane Katrina? When I was younger I thought I would watch the Telethon straight through one of these years- never did. Sounds like it's been pared down to a 6-hour show on Sunday night, but who will anchor the broadcast? Also, something seems amiss with this whole thing- Jerry might have quit or the MDA removed Jerry (the move is made about one month from the Telethon); show condensed from 21+ hours to six. I get cutting back on the length of the broadcast, but this and Jerry's departure cannot bode well for MDA this year and in the future.
  4. @SalSports Sal Capaccio Former #Buffalo #Bills safety Donte Whitner has confirmed to me via text that he has agreed to a 2-year deal with the #Cincinnati #Bengals. @SalSports Sal Capaccio Whitner via text: "It was a long wait but I learned a lot from this and....(cont)... @SalSports Sal Capaccio ....it will only Make me a better father, person and football player. Go #Bills! 4 Life"

  6. He can use a still-frame of it as his web site bio pic.
  7. Tuesday's chat on justin.tv is going to be a lot of fun, I think. Can't wait to hear the details.
  8. Copying my post from the old WGR thread... UPDATE: Coach Sal Capaccio is joining WGR as a weekend host, according to him on Twitter: @SalSports Sal Capaccio Very thrilled, proud, and honored to say I’ll be joining the great staff of @WGR550 this fall as a weekend talk host..... ....I’ll have more details on what days/times I’l be on as the time gets closer. But, for now, just want to say Thank You ... ...to Andy Roth, Tim Wenger (@TWenger930), Kevin Carr, and Entercom for bringing me aboard.... ....and allowing me to live out one of my life’s dreams and goals. I’m ready to get to work and talk sports with #Buffalo!

  10. Grew up on the Big Ten;I follow Illinois. My previous career in TV news allowed me to go to many Big Ten games in Urbana-Champaign and all over the midwest. I am proud to say I attended the Rose Bowl in 2008; I highly recommend going to the game if you can. The scenery is some of the best in the USA for a college game. I have a few schools I like to watch/support: Auburn (friend went to Grad School there), Georgia, Texas, Southern Illinois (my alma mater), whoever's playing USC or Notre Dame. I am not an avid watcher but I try to watch games when I can. I receive the Big Ten Network so that's what I'll watch most of the time unless one of the above teams is on.
  11. I mentioned this on the Shout Box..... I've been listening to WGR for the Jim Rome Show (and hopefully some Bills-related talk) for a few weeks. I am sick and tired of every other commercial being Mama Pecorarro. "WE NEED MORE PEPPERS!" Enough! I can easily sympathize with those of you who've been listening a lot longer to WGR and had to put up with this. And Schopp and Bulldog.... thankfully I have other options because I am not impressed. They don't keep me engaged in their conversations. They aren't funny and they don't give me much to think about. I would make a suggestion- if anyone from WGR is reading this thread: Hire Coach Sal Capaccio. The man knows his sports; knows his Buffalo sports; and will be straight-forward and not come off as abrasive. If his broadcasts online are any indication, he would bring in the listeners and spark some lively conversations with them. Plus, maybe he could attract other advertisers besides Lakefront Automotive (or whoever Pecorarro is with).
  12. (Via Twitter) @ClaytonESPN John Clayton reminding everyone that the minimum spend of 89 percent doesn't start until 2013. I assumed teams had to spend at least 90% of cap beginning this year. So the Bills don't have to spend the money any time soon.
  13. Thanks Scott! I appreciate having this site to talk Bills football and other things.
  14. Schefter reports the contract is fully guaranteed.

  16. No matter how loaded with talent the Pats* get they won't be able to escape the 18-1 season until they win another Super Bowl, IMO. Add all the Pro Bowlers you want, but they have not produced championships with them on the roster the past six seasons. I know we should be so lucky as Bills fans to have that issue.

  18. It does give them options on offense: Buffalo Rumblings article.
