It's all el Peguls teams can do correctly. The rebuilds though? do not go as well. Apparently some fans accept mediocrity and call it a win win. Good for you! -
Sully: Doug Whaley's team a no-show in finale
Best Player Available replied to Rico's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's a decent blocker too.. Really in Buffalo never had a QB he could develop chemistry with. Or he played like last year at less than 100%. He will be harder to replace than some think. Just his Blocking alone will be missed. -
So rooting for a organization that may have planned all along by mgt........Is a plan? LOL this franchise is sinking. if anyone could condone basically cheating. For a better draft slot. Hows that working out for the Sabres, excuses aside? In the NFL anyone with balls plays to win every single game. Balls are in short supply on OBD. pretty much a sham what Whaley and Mgt. marched out today as their QB. Tney knew he sucked. That's why they never even considered his 5 th year option. Jones? is way off if ever. Russ, you got a lot of work cut out selling this BS. in 2017.

Why the Pegula hate?
Best Player Available replied to Dragonborn10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Pegulas are the best thing that has helped Buffalo's economy and redevelopment in almost 40 years. The are responsible for most of the downtown upgrades. Once a true chithole. When we visit it's now fun. As sports team owners, they seem really out of their business element. Twice now, first with the Sabres now with the Bills they are naively listening to flawed advice from leftover executives. In the Bill's case Ralph's ownership. The NFL has executive committees that can guide new owners I was told. To date the Pegulas have not accepted that offer. Who knows? Maybe it blows? Hate is a weird word. No one hates the Pegulas. But if you follow the Buffalo major sports teams. Disappointment is non stop. With for the Bills at least. No solution in sight. -
Man right now it is hard to argue those points. Lynn IMO could succeed if given the tools. Whaley may not be as savy as some like to think. Lee, was useless the day they hired or rehired that loser.

Sadly that is more than likely 3+ more years of suck. And that is assuming he gets it right after the next regime goes down. Not a lot of optimism in the Bills nation. season tickets sales will prove that. Keeping Whaley, etc. now is going to set this franchise back years. -
That and he didn't slide 2 yards short for first downs.Like a scared rookie trying not get hurt. Orton took a paycheck and left with a year left on his contract. He had so little interest he left 5M on the table. He had zero interest in football or the Bills. it was all about the $$$$. eff him.

What if Lynn does not want the job here?
Best Player Available replied to HelloNewman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Talk and posturing are pretty common. At this point it is all that is there. In business, sports, whatever. On both sides. It would be insane to not interview other candidates. Based on Lynn's 14 games as a new OC. Today's nightmare is a flier. It was meaningless. LIke Lynn corrected himself early in the week. " I was not in the room when the decision was made" He was forced to start a scrub backup. Lynn is the owner of a good scoring team despite the lack of a complete passing game. He also, called some head scratchers. Those will all magically be blamed on Rex now (see Buddy Nix for proof.) the good things are always the new guy.The bad things are always the fault of his predecessor. It's the Bills way. They suck they ended the season a very Jauron like 7-9. With all the free agents and a couple aging stars. Regression seems reasonable no matter who is coaching next year. I hope Lynn is not this off seasons Chip Kelly or Doug Marrone. The hype seems a tad over the top. -
Payton will take the Rams gig light years before he would consider Buffalo. The coaching ranks are small. Buffalo's reputation is at this point not much different than 10 years ago. Pegula is in a sense going on a third head coach in 2 and a half seasons. Then you got the history of the Sabres for prospective coaches too look at. I think the Bills take who they can get. His name is Anthony Lynn. Doug Whaley is not the GM that can pull this franchise out of the rut. He helped put them in.

The college game was too fast for him. Ask any Florida State fan. That's why they dumbed down the offense for him. He seemed like a nice guy. It's where he was picked then forced down a coaches throat by a GM in way over his head that did him in. Second rate (at best) QB coaching did not help. In fact IIRC he had no QB coach his first year? He was set up to fail from day one.
-
Why should he? He may want to play for a team that is playoff caliber. Same with Woods. So much for homegrown talent. 2 holes right of the start. Goddwin? probably gone So one corner 2 receivers, rebuild a secondary, a kicker, a QB,.a punter, etc. And a GM that cannot draft too save his life. 22M ought to solve that?

We learned the new boss is the same as the old boss. Hey pegs your team(s) suck.
