  1. Yeah, this isn't even a legit comparison IMO. In Aikman's day Qbs got murdered, wrs got murdered, and there wasn't a flag on the field. Today's NFL is completely soft compared to back then. It's not even comparable.
  2. Lol, we aren't getting swept by the Pats, nor are we dropping 3 straight. We are coming off of two losses against the top two teams in the AFC, including the SB Champions. Im disappointed, but no where near in the panic mode, or the "reality" you are in. I'll panic if we get beat by Gase and the winless Jets.
  3. I can only assume they feel everything is in place and clicking well around the Qb position. Now is the time to insert their franchise guy with all the pieces in place around him. Let him take his lumps the rest of the year.
  4. Really? What we allowed them to do was run...he made many mentions of it by stating "pick your poison.". Now I'm not a physicist, but that pretty much sounds to me that they were willing to continue to let them run that way without giving additional help by dropping more in the box. Of course we wanted better execution. Of course we wanted stops. But they didn't make an effort to stack the box, or run blitz, because that wasn't their scheme. I'm not selectively throwing quotes in there to alter what the scheme was, they support what the game plan was and what we were willing to let the Chiefs do.
  5. Yea, look at the 16 minute mark...he clearly states the numbers don't look good but you "pick your poison," in terms of our defense attacking their offense. 17 min mark....one stop on defense and we have a chance to maybe make it a different game. 19:35 mark...you have to pick your poison, they are explosive in the pass game, you take away somewhere and you have to be willing to give up elsewhere. In the end there, we were in the game. They schemed that defensive game plan, they weren't happy with all the yards, but their plan was to keep it close, stop the big plays and have a chance to win in the end. 22:20 mark...put 9 in the box and go all out to shut down the run game....people have tried it against this team, it hasn't really worked out to be honest with you.
  6. I'd lick the sweat from a yeti's nuts to see him continue to play like that. It would leave a bad taste but at least be worth it.
  7. McD mentioned that as well.
  8. Clearly. That's why I'm assuming two players were benched. The were looking for answers on the defensive front. But....they clearly didn't bring guys in the box to prevent what was happening over and over. They were looking for someone to make a play on the D line and keep everything in front of them. They were willing to allow it to happen in order to not give up the big plays.
  9. Just watched it and it seems like we schemed to do exactly what we did. The defensive design was to take away all big passing plays, keep it on the ground and in front of the defense. He was asked about bringing more into the box to stop the run and McD stated from all the film they watched, it never worked out well for other defenses. He didn't want this to be a 40pt game. It's seems they were willing to take a slow death to keep the game close and have a chance to win it in the end. I can only assume they believed the Dline would have a much better game with the benching of Harry and Trent.
  10. I don't think anyone said that, unless I missed it. If Allen sucks, we don't win. We want to win, we like to win. I don't think anyone is rooting for failure, it's counter productive.
  11. It was over. Down 9 with a little over 1 min, 60+ yards away and no time outs. Hard to be enthusiastic.
  12. I'll take whatever flavor of kool-aid you're drinking. Our record has nothing to do with the game today. Today he was bad, really bad. It wasn't all on him because the defense was really bad. But he was most certainly part of the problem.
  13. 14/27 for 122? That's not part of the problem? I believe at half time he completed around 30% of his passes for 40+ yards. He was definitely PART of the problem.
  14. I disagree. The problem is the D line and its been a problem all year, followed directly by the LB positions. They are continuously getting tossed around, pushed out of gaps, and our LBs can't get off blocks or close the holes quick enough. Scheme has nothing to do with not winning battles. You need to win 1v1 and penetrate on run plays. Lbs need to win 1v1, shoot gaps and wrap up. They literally done none of that tonight. It was painful to watch.
  15. Clearly it's not all on him but he didn't do much to help outside of 1 really good drive.
  16. I'm watching Dline get man handled.
  17. It's not. They aren't getting off blocks and are getting blown out of their gaps. LBs are slow to the ball and making sloppy tackles.
  18. I just watched the break down of film that was suggested, and I suggest it too. The eyes can be deceiving. This Dline better get it together. Frazier wasn't kidding with the stuff he said in his press conference.
  19. Maybe because of the injuries to the LB position and the new defensive front that hasn't jelled yet? Keep it simple and try to play fast until continuity builds? It seems from what I've been reading and watching that may be the case. Either way it better get fixed ASAP, this schedule does not get easier.
  20. He was due a big roster bonus today, I believe. Hanging on to him would mean someone taking over his huge salary plus a roster bonus. If they couldn't trade him they were on the hook for millions in bonus money.
