  2. The margin of error must be much higher then what the public thinks. The public makes knee jerk reactions and decisions when they see police use lethal force on video. They make judgements on emotions and visual interpretation, usually on a few short seconds or the tail end of an encounter gone wrong, not on the actual full scope of the situation. They aren't having that experience in real time, they can't get an idea of how erratic a suspect was or what he was saying or what kind of vibe you were getting from being around that person. All of those things must be taken into consideration when deciding if an officer acted as appropriate as you would expect in that same situation. It's easy to judge someone sitting in the safety of your chair but if you were wrestling around with some stranger on the ground, who was reaching for the weapon you had in your pocket, I can guarantee you, you don't know what his intentions are and you would use whatever force you needed to, to come out of that alive. At the end of the day police are human beings, they are going to make mistakes as no one is infallible. The question that needs to be asked is, were these mistakes made reasonable considering the situation? Police need to be given a larger margin of error given the type of situations they are put in on a regular basis. They are risking everything being out there because they want to be somewhere where they're protecting people. Unless it is clear the police officer was using truly unnecessary force, then leeway must be given. If you continue to beat the drum and call all cops bad or expect them to be arrested and prosecuted for taking risks in their job you're going to have no one who wants to be a police officer. No way would it be worth it to risk your life protecting your community and then have to be worried about making a mistake while protecting the community that lands you in prison for the rest of your life.
  3. NFL's decal ruling disappoints Cowboys, but it won't stop team's support for Dallas police, Jerry Jones says Players and coaches opened this camp by walking onto the field, arms linked, with city officials and family members of the officers that were slain in downtown Dallas in July. The Arm in Arm decal is worn by the players in this camp. But NFL officials informed the Cowboys Wednesday afternoon that the club would have to remove those decals for this weekend's game against the Los Angeles Rams and every other preseason matchup. https://www.dallasnews.com/sports/cowboys/2016/08/12/nfl-s-decal-ruling-disappoints-cowboys-but-it-won-t-stop-team-s-support-for-dallas-police-jerry-jones-says/ Black Lives Matter: NFL plans for social justice decal stickers on helmets League has not previously allowed such messaging, except for annual salutes to military and campaign to raise awareness around breast cancer The NFL is planning to allow players to have decal stickers on the back of their helmets bearing names or initials of victims of systemic racism and police violence. https://www.dallasnews.com/sports/cowboys/2016/08/12/nfl-s-decal-ruling-disappoints-cowboys-but-it-won-t-stop-team-s-support-for-dallas-police-jerry-jones-says/ Its the disgusting display of hypocrisy that bothers me. Stay the hell out of it, or allow it for EVERYONE...that is EQUALITY.
  4. Oh, you are British? You control policy in the UK? You enforce policy in the UK? Oh, silly me. You asked for it, I gave it to you, and you deny it. Google it...there are hundreds upon hundreds of reportings of it. You need a reality check... British police have promised not to tolerate any speech that could cause offence on social media regarding Syrian migrants, after arresting a man for Facebook comments made about recent arrivals on his small Scottish Island. The tiny Isle of Bute in the Firth of Clyde, which had a total population of just 6,498 in 2011, is expected to take in it’s share of 1,000 Syrian migrants, with 12 families already arriving on Isle of Bute since December. Syrian Migrants were also rehomed before Christmas in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Inverclyde, Renfrewshire and North Ayrshire. However, commenting on the comparatively huge and sudden influx of Muslim immigrants online just became a very risky business for local residents. Police have confirmed they have arrested a 41-year-old local man under the Communications Act, after receiving a report of a supposedly “offensive” comment made on Facebook regarding the migrants. A police spokesman was unequivocal, that any harsh criticism of the Muslim influx would not be “tolerated”. Inspector Ewan Wilson from Dunoon police office told the Guardian following the arrest: “I hope that the arrest of this individual sends a clear message that Police Scotland will not tolerate any form of activity which could incite hatred and provoke offensive comments on social media”. Extraordinary moment pregnant mum is arrested and handcuffed in front of her two children over a Facebook post about lockdown - moments before she was due to have an ULTRASOUND Zoe Buhler, 28, was handcuffed in her lounge room in front of her children She had created a Facebook event organising a protest in Ballarat, Victoria Police arrested her and she was charged with incitement on Wednesday 'Freedom Day' event called for people to protest against the lockdown https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8688793/Pregnant-mum-arrested-Facebook-post-inciting-coronavirus-protest.html I can go on all night with this.
  5. The Communications Act 2003 defines illegal communication as “using public electronic communications network in order to cause annoyance, inconvenience or needless anxiety”. Breaking the law carries a six-month prison term or fine of up to £5,000. Now in a society that doesn't truly have free speech, this would be used to silence you, and it has in the UK. The liberal powers that be, consider anything they don't agree with as hate speech. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/arrests-offensive-facebook-and-twitter-posts-soar-london-a7064246.html
  6. China, Russia, Mexico.....our own tyrannical government...take your pick. Military is the wall between you speaking Chinese or you being allowed to say what you want. Try going to China and typing some of the stuff you have in this thread, even the UK for that matter...you'd be in jail already.
  7. Yes...because someone fought for it previously and if they didn't continue to, you'd cease to have that right.
  8. Apparently reading comprehension is a problem for you as well. I said I'm not watching football with the exception of 2, maybe 3 games. I can read, follow and discuss the topic as much as I like. I simply refuse to purchase products, services and give viewership to an organization that is clearly anti-american. Don't like it? I dont care. I don't invest time and money to watch a sport that wants to bombard me with BS political agendas. PS, we is the silent majority...look at the ratings.
  9. We have. Maybe you need to wake up and pay more attention.
  10. This BLM BS has me not wanting to watch any football at all. The only games I plan on watching this year are the two Jet games, which I'm obligated to because of very close friends, and the Super Bowl if we get there. Aside from that, I'm out on this season and have zero respect for the commissioner and the league for supporting such BS and funneling it down my throat. No thanks.
  11. It happened to me and I'm white...funny thing is, it too, happened to me in Texas. It should be called DWIT, Driving While In Texas. I was pulled over doing absolutely nothing wrong, simply because I had an out of state plate.
  12. Brady made Belichick, and it will be obvious this year. Give me a break with this magic man in his helmet telling him what to do, the guy did the same thing in Michigan, he's just that good. He is clearly having no problem in TB throwing lasers all over the field on a dime. The Bucs are instant contenders for the SB. https://youtu.be/7EPG0KQO-T8
  13. Leave the kid alone already. It's done, over with, and everyone has moved on...except this sleazy reporter.
  14. Mahomes arm is very, very, powerful...a top 3 for sure...but...I have to give the edge to Allen on this one.
  15. Until Allen thrusts himself into a solid upper middle/late top 10 Qb ranking, this will be the take. This team has all the tools, the real question remains at Qb. This is a real prove it year for Allen.

  17. They are the best in franchise history at their positions, and hall of famers to boot. Im fine with it. As much as I love Thurman, OJ was better. Reed is the 17th most productive Wr in NFL history. No way he gets removed.
  18. Split with the jets, sweep the patriots, split with dolphins. We arent beating the chiefs, we arent losing to the raiders, we arent losing to the broncos.

  20. Wow, amazing. My buddy has the ps VR, but everything Im seeing is leaning more towards Oculus, currently. Although, the new PS5 is going to drop at the end of the year, and I believe they are working on a whole new vr headset, this could mean a drastic jump in the technology. Madden in 1st person Vr? Probably be pretty amazing.
  21. I dont know...i think the adrenaline got going in some of these old folk.
  22. Id buy it...its legit, and he's done exactly what he's said he's done. It will sell for that easily. I'd be lobbying for a signature on the wall or something. Tom Brady's Escalade Limo will sell no problem. The dude just auctioned a game day experience with dinner afterwards for over 1 million. Like it or not, he's the GOAT.? Anything he sells will be purchased, and probably at a premium.
