  1. Because simply he doesn't, and because he has developed on some of his weaknesses like pocket presence and reading the field. Relative to the Qb's available as #2's in the NFL he is in the upper part of that group. Other than one or 2 unique situations across the league, there isn't a guy in that spot that is significantly better than him.
  2. I don't think anyone (maybe one) in this thread are saying he should be an NFL starter. It's just those who have already determined he 'simply sucks period' that look kind of stupid now.
  3. It's not a love affair we don't think he's a starter. but you also aren't seeing the game at a high level of detail if you don't see the progress he's made in multiple areas. That's ok most fans don't see the game at that level. They have lives and such. And likely with a name like old school you're probably going to be set in your ways and stick with your initial opinion.
  4. True LOL
  5. Alexander MAY be better than Manny Lawson... He's looked real good all camp long now
  6. yes there were atleast 5 blatant examples of that last night
  7. A- he HAS shown improvement. He goes through his reads now. Still a bit inaccurate... B- He doesn't have that "Deer in the headlights look" at ALL. Not sure what you are watching there. Looks calm and in command now. C- He Had good production vs. 2nd and 3rds. He's a better than average backup QB that's what he is. Nothing more but not the tire fire some have stuck in their heads.
  8. Gragg was far and away our best #2 TE that really sucks!
  9. Agreed. The guy has progressed and IS one of the better backups in the league. Not what they drafted him for but could be much worse.
  10. Starters vs. our 3rd string I would hope it's ugly for Washington's sake
  11. Love your site man. Good stuff as the others have stated! Can't get enough of the true football analysis with all the pre-determined judgments, agendas and egos put off to the side. Keep up the good work.
  12. And we learn here at TBD that players are what they are. They never develop.
  13. Right? Specifically Kyle Williams...
  14. Insane article.. Seems randomly chosen. He's in the upper 3rd of backups for sure... One could even argue he's better than a starter out there (Gabbert).
  15. TY John... Exactly what I was getting at earlier and glad to see you are bothered by it as well.
  16. I think it's easy enough to ignore garbage like this, but part of me wonders how there is no consequence for a "media member" who flat out lies about a person or organization ( "many in the organization feel that ..........").
  17. I think Woods will fill the void we are worrying about at #2. Playing with a torn groin in 2 places massively affected his burst and quickness in routes.
  18. Exactly - "Points are key" is completely wrong.Plenty of times a top notch defense has suffered from short field after short field from 3 and outs and turnovers made by their putrid offense. In a case such as that points given up is a nearly meaningless stat.
  19. Love this player and this pick. A true leader/warrior type to lead this D for the foreseeable future. Perfect fit. You can really start to see in your mind what a versatile amoeba-like Defense this will become.
  20. Oh no, I did. It's a great article well done. It wasn't directed at you specifically, more of a general response to the flow of the thread.
  21. Bills D was phenomenal that night, regardless of the status of Pats players. It was the perfect scheme to defend what they had in place and was extremely well executed. In fact the remaining opponents of the Pats seemed to use the Bills plan as a schematic the rest of the way, including yesterday's game.
  22. Me as well. All good points. I see the delayed communication issues being corrected by wtvr means necessary as those issues were brought into the spotlight. I see Rex as a coach who does what he can and will ask for help to fix those deficiencies without ego getting in the way.
  23. Many of them(us I suppose) are, along with many of the fans of all the teams around the league. There's plenty of proof right here on this message board too. Those saying Rex is a bafoon of a football coach and thinking next year will be a disaster already sound pretty "neanderthalish". To think one of the best defensive coaches in league history will not atleast come back to the mean and right the ship on the defensive side with the players we have is kinda stupid. And as long as he leaves the offense to Roman, things will likely improve.
  24. EJ is not a "good" NFL QB, he's probably somewhere in the upper middle tier of back ups in the league. However he is better than Tebow could ever dream of being, unfortunately for Tebow. Are there still football fans out there that think Tebow can even play QB at a competent NFL level, even for a backup?
