The dump the 1st round corner strategy after his 1st contract and then draft one is sometimes unfortunate, maddening to many, but makes logical sense from a financial (cap) perspective. And there is no evidence of it causing further detriment to the team. The Bills have done pretty well identifying good (not great mind you) corners over the years. it's merely a down-shift in cap hit (a cap management strategy) due to the original cb pricing himself off the team. It's not a yearly occurrence either. That would be different.
Am I a fan of that strategy with cb's?
