  1. TE's are blockers and Wr's typically. That's Clay. He's a killer blocker and his staff the past 2 seasons has praised that more than once. He's also an above average receiver as a TE and has done everything the team wanted him to, often in an outlet receiver role. He has missed some time with injuries and played through some other injuries. Last season he was missed by TT on some open opportunities early on... He and TT finally seemed to develop a connection in the last 3rd of 2016 where he showed more down the field ability.
  2. That's exactly right about character that coaches mean. Bad part about Gordon is he has demonstrated no football character by simply not being able to resist a nonaddictive drug for the game he loves like what 6 times? I dont think anyone cares about the weed use... Its the lack of control and thus his lack of love for the game displayed that keeps him in doubt.
  3. Stop slobbering all over TT with such comments! :-)
  4. It's neither here nor there that it's what you expected to hear. Certain guys stress certain things for a reason. It's not all a playing with the minds of sheep agenda out there. Rex cared to never really mention or stress having players of character that I can recall. Marv did, as another example. Sometimes you are too "clever" for your own good.
  5. For me, somewhat yes (not the faith based part but him valuing high character, versatile players. It's a perception derived from the things the coach has mentioned at the forefront of his direction for the team, along with the Pendulum swing the organization may take in this aspect), considering under Rex they took some extra chances on troubled type guys. Can't speak for the other poster, but most every thing I "Come up with" is due to the clues and facts provided along with logical assumptions based on all the available information.
  6. I agree. I highly doubt the mentioned interest is legit.
  7. That's it. . but but but....you haven't picked a side!
  8. All True but Tuttle did nothing, nor did Flowers or Maybin... That makes them worse picks than Miller.
  9. Lynch was a conviction away from a year long suspension in Buf. He's also a west coaster through and through.
  10. Fair enough. Don't entirely agree but point taken. To me the importance list is QB, Pass Rusher, then everything else somewhere roughly equal (not including K, P ).
  11. Oh I'm well aware. I think it has more to do with Qb's and overall team talent. There's certainly grey areas there. You still cannot or atleast haven't argued how that strategy is not sound. And as I said I don't always agree with it.
  12. Nice highlights. He does look like a nice round 2-ish option
  13. The dump the 1st round corner strategy after his 1st contract and then draft one is sometimes unfortunate, maddening to many, but makes logical sense from a financial (cap) perspective. And there is no evidence of it causing further detriment to the team. The Bills have done pretty well identifying good (not great mind you) corners over the years. it's merely a down-shift in cap hit (a cap management strategy) due to the original cb pricing himself off the team. It's not a yearly occurrence either. That would be different. Am I a fan of that strategy with cb's? It's been about 50/50.
  14. Terry had a 1000 yard season no? Tuttle did zilch
  15. there is no QB stat that exists on it's own without being affected by the team he is on, so that should always be in the back of peoples minds. However, the most important stats historically for NFL Qb's as contributors to a team are - YPA and TD to INT ratio.
  16. come home Zach. Then the team can take BPA in the draft at #10
  17. Seems like a nice pickup. Good guy to take a chance on due to his situation behind 2 very good WR's in Oakland.
  18. Spiller is so far from being the worst 1st rounder. Tony Hunter A. Maybin Perry Tuttle Erik Flowers
  19. you missed the joke. I'm shocked
