  1. Well said, Promo. The wins will come, as long as you put together a stable organization.
  2. I did mention Latui in the 2nd round earlier. Of all the guard prospects, I think he has the most upside, meaning he hasn't come close to reaching his full potential yet. I think he'll be a heck of a pro, and I'd love to see the Bills draft him in round 2.
  3. No time limit, but don't take that as a reason to procrastinate, Marv.
  4. Add in his proposed move to get the pick necessary to grab Latui, and I'd say this is one heck of a draft.
  5. We had a few more pieces in place than we do now, Cajun. This team can use help all over the place, so they can go in a number of directions w/ their first round pick. Let's just hope that the direction they take is "up".
  6. Even if the Bills are to draft St Haloti of Ngata, the line would still be "inexperienced", as you say. Even if we drafted Winston Justice w/ the 8th pick, the OL would be "inexperienced". Like I've said before, I'm all for adding the most talent we can by getting great value out of our picks.
  7. I hear ya. Psycho Ward 86, while a diehard fan, does not get the allure of the draft. She knows to basically leave me alone on draft weekend.
  8. Ah, William. You must've missed my last post, so here it is again... It may have gotten buried.
  9. Production-wise, we haven't upgraded the position yet, considering the year Travis had. Now, do I think McGahee is a better back than Travis? Yes, but he has to show and prove. Coming into minicamp and showing that he's ready to run w/ the same passion and attitude he showed 2 years ago will go a long way towards showing and proving. If that doesn't happen, Willis will continue to give us a 1,000 yard rusher (barely) whose timid running style will make him useless in the red zone, like last season. It's up to him to show and prove, which I think he'll do this year.
  10. I'll take that even further, Tasker. It's not an "either/or" situation w/ me. I don't want the Bills to forsake the offensive line or the defensive line. I simply want them to get the most out of the draft picks they have. If we can land a stud DB, TE, or pass rushing DE/LB in the first, then I'm all for it, just as long as we also look to bolster the lines. There's a bunch of great players we could choose in rounds 2 and 3 that will help along the lines. Imagine if we could land Huff in the first, Deuce Latui @ guard in the 2nd, and then use the 3rd round picks on the best DT (McCargo, Oshinowo, Mahelona, Lewis should all be available) and OT (Scott, Whitworth, or Trueblood would be great to pick up here) available. I'd be okay w/ a draft that brings us a starting FS w/ playmaking ability, a stud guard who I believe still has yet to play his best football, and a run stuffing DT and solid left tackle prospect in the first 3 rounds.
  11. Fear not, Ed. They're both covering the draft.
  12. Oh my goodness, what a concept!! Of course, those who believe the draft is just one round will tell you how we must get a certain position there. Who do I hope the Bills take in the first round? Someone who can play very well.
  13. I think the following prospects are not overrated: Haloti Ngata Everyone else is overrated and a potential bust. Draft Ngata, and watch the Bills win the next 5 Super Bowls. We also should trade for last year's savior, Mike Nugent.
  14. The Saints are not an easy team to read. When they traded up last year, the general thought from most (including Saints fans) was that they were going to draft Derrick Johnson and not Jammal Brown. As it turns out, they got a very good OT by doing so, and stopped Carolina from getting him. Of course, they still have a glaring need @ LB, so I wouldn't rule out a trade down from them to go after Hawk or even guys like Greenway or Ryans later on. One thing's for sure: they're sitting pretty w/ that 2nd overall pick.
  15. Nervous Guy is a nice guy.
  16. So, uh, where will you be when the Bills have their first round pick?
  17. We don't have off for Good Friday.
  18. Now that would be nice, if it were possible. I don't know if the Bills could afford to move up high enough to take him, but I'd be thrilled if it somehow happened.
  19. If LenDale White was still available when our 2nd round pick came up, I'd be looking to shop the pick for a lower 2nd and additional picks.
  20. I voted for Huff, who only has about 12% of the votes. I do believe that the choice would be between Huff or Vernon Davis, if it were to play out like this. Here's what they have: Mario Wiliams: 42.5% Vernon Davis: 36.2% Michael Huff: 12.4% Brodrick Bunkley: 3.1%
