  1. True, but your aunt Anita has elite 3-cone agility. She’d be a tough assignment for any LB.
  2. I root for the Netherlands as well. And for no other reason than for as long as I’ve watched international sporting events, no team, regardless of the sport they’re engaged in at the time, has more fun than a team from the Netherlands. From soccer, to speed skating to curling, the Netherlands teams and their fans enjoy it like it’s the last time they’ll enjoy anything on earth.
  3. The Pegulas and others in the organization were hurt by Eichel’s trade demands so soon after his extension kicked in and he had reassured them that he wanted to be here. Deciding to air his surgery disgruntlement and then blatantly lying about it is another indicator of what a giant masshole he really is.
  4. Geriatric ex Dolphins toasting champagne as I type this.
  5. Perhaps the most full of crap OP in the 26+ years we’ve been discussing this team in a forum.
  6. Not saying that at all. Are you kidding me? But no, there is no film on Keenum and the Bills unless you think seven attempts in mop up duty of two blowout wins is anything meaningful for them to glean any tendencies from. Not having game film with Keenum at QB for the Bills may complicate their preparation to some small degree.
  7. Evaluating a GM on a single game? That’s an absurd proposition.
  8. What QB is Minnesota preparing for? I hope it’s Keenum because they have ZERO to go on in that regard.
  9. You have to reside for 180 days in the District of Columbia to be subject to DC income taxes. And of course local sales taxes contribute to local tax revenues, like every place else in the country. But yeah, if one is so outraged at the lawsuit, then they should refrain from buying any goods or services in DC to be sure they aren’t contributing.
  10. I have no interest in debating the merits of the case. I merely wanted to correct the record by saying that unless you are a DC citizen, none of your tax dollars go into funding the DC AG or any part of the local DC government as was suggested in the post I responded to.
  11. Aside from federal grants which go to all 50 states as well, no federal tax dollars fund the local DC government budget, including the DC district attorney who is elected to office by the citizens of Washington, DC. Our tax dollars have nothing to do with his office.
  12. Obviously. Because any time you lose your best player it makes your team better.
  13. Disagree. On that first pass, Josh placed it between the two defenders right where it needed to be. The safety was closing fast.
  14. I’m not so sure as both Keenum and Diggs are several seasons removed from the Vikings who’ve completely retooled their staffs since then. Are they still running the Stefanski schemes on offense and the Zimmer schemes on defense? I honestly don’t watch them enough to know.
  15. Did you see that one incomplete pass to Hines the other day when he was open but the ball was overthrown? LBs and safeties cannot cover him. He presents matchup problems that Motor and Cook don’t. We will all see where he fits as he becomes more acclimated.
  16. Yesterday, when asked about White, McD said he wasn’t ready. Simple as that. I suspect the sloppy turf at MetLife was a factor as well.
  17. Whatever happened to those days when all we needed was a nice bubble bath and then curl up with a hot cup of Irish Mocha mint and a steamy Harlequin romance novel.
  18. Not necessarily. It’s been known for a while that Josh likes to attack the longer developing intermediate and longer options first. Josh has been a bit stubborn in his reads expecting guys to get open as readily as we’ve seen previously and he’s being forced to go thru several reads before settling for the check down. This is a bigger issue vs. superior back sevens like we saw yesterday, especially when good coverage LBs like the Jets have can close so quickly on those check downs. Also, few OLs are gonna hold long enough to enable a QB to go thru all his progressions so frequently against the better fronts. Perhaps Dorsey and Josh need to read from the bottom up as opposed to the top down and be able hurt teams to make them adjust. And yet, we were still in position to win games even when the opponent played their absolute best while we played our injury depleted worst. Can’t wait to play these guys again.
  19. True, but it was totally understandable strategy given the talent elsewhere on that team. Gonna be a long slog now unless they get lucky with a QB in the draft.
  20. Watch the All 22 when it comes out and you will see the Jets played elite defense in the secondary, including, and perhaps especially, their LBs. That’s the bad news. The good news is that we play them again and I think adjustments can be made.
