  1. Hypothetical: do you take the 60mph thrower with poor ball placement or the 55mph thrower with good ball placement?
  2. Could have used that on first and goal against the Jags. Should have, actually.
  3. He didn't publicly dis anybody, actually. But when some hack takes comments out of context by not providing the entire quote, that perception gets thrown out there.
  4. Yep. And rumor has it he went deep, too.
  5. I hear that, but it depends on whether or not they have three QBs rated evenly vs. that ONE guy they’ve targeted. I suspect the latter.
  6. He joined them coming off a 9-7 season and leaves them coming off a 9-7 season with .500 and 7-9 seasons in between. Treading water at best; the definition of mediocrity. For me, I can’t make non failure mean the same as successful. Although, he leaves them trending upward.
  7. No. Mediocrity is not success.
  8. He might flourish in Bmore. If there is one thing Flacco does well, it’s the deep ball which is what Sammy does best.
  9. There are too many holes every year for teams. But all those other holes combined don't begin to be as deep as the one at QB.
  10. Dear #34fan, One man's stink is another man's perfume. Looking forward to an aromatic era with my home town team. Here's to a fragrant future. Yours truly, Brian Daboll
  11. "Outside the box" doesn't quite capture it.
  12. Interesting maneuvering by Cleveland in that mock.
  13. The best thing about the history of QBs selected in previous drafts is that none of it is relevant. Every draft, every prospect, every situation he is drafted into is its own unique set of dynamics. The only commonality that matters is the level of conviction a particular team has towards a particular prospect and whether that conviction is enough to warrant the investment in the pick.
  14. Push, shove, pay the vig.
  15. It takes a lot more than just the assemblage of good talent to become a great team. It's a start for the Browns, nothing more.
  16. Missed that, my bad. It’s worth pointing out that Foxborough is considered the “Miami of Massachusetts” where the elite m!@#$ hordes go for their winter tans.
  17. Great point about trust, especially when that trust is placed in an inaccurate QB. But again, not running the route causes the entire route scheme to suffer.
  18. Well 3rd, that kind of makes the point, doesn’t it? Fear never stopped the likes of Andre Reed and others from venturing across the middle. Players can get hurt in any given play so fear needs to be managed and overcome. There’s also the element of how that route relates to the others run on a particular play as well. Route schemes are interdependent.
  19. What’s weird is that it took me 21 seconds to read that.
  20. Tasty waves, dude.
  21. I didn't hate any of those guys. The only problem I had with any of them was Evans' reluctance to run shallow crossers.
  22. This is a fair point, imo. Personally, I think the desire to see him at wideout speaks to his extraordinary athletic talent rather than what it says about his ability (or lack thereof) as a QB. And I fully supported his decision not to work out at the WR position at the combine.
  23. Per the bold text, that's just not true. If he were white and from Tennessee, he'd have the exact same question marks going coming out of college. There are legitimate concerns regarding his ability, just as there are for all the other prospects.
  24. Was the question followed by the qualifier, "Not that there's anything wrong with that."?
